But they were beautiful.

Pools of brown that were darker towards the iris.

Everything was darker towards the center.

Nothing can be all light.

It's impossible.

But for the first time, the darkness was beautiful.

The brown eyes were beautiful.

And they were looking at her.

It was a rare occurrence.

A rare occurrence for those eyes to focus.

Focus on anything.

 A rare occurrence reserved for her.
