I stood behind the curtain if the stage, peeping through it at the crowd in front of me. It was the day of Valt and my meeting.

Kris had agreed to holding the meeting, saying it was a good idea, as she had noticed Free sitting on his own all the time. Valt had convinced everyone to come, even the kids that hated Free, which I was impressed at.

"2 minutes to go," I said to Valt, who was standing behind me, reading through his speech. He looked up and gave me a thumbs up.

I looked out at the crowd again and noticed Free sitting at the front. He was staring up at the stage expectantly.

My eyes lingered on him for a moment, my heart filling with sadness. Let's hope this thing works, I thought.

"Ready?" Valt said suddenly.

I turned to him, nodding. "I think so," I said as confidently as I could.

I stood next to Valt and watched the curtain open onto the crowd. They clapped politely. I smiled and began to talk.

"I know you're all wondering why we're holding this meeting." I started. "Well, it's about Free. And many other people. But it's because of Free that this meeting is a thing."

I paused to look at the crowd again. I scanned my eyes other them until I reached Free, who was staring back at me.

"We're worried about Free." Valt said. "We know that some people aren't being very nice to him because... because of the way he looks." He stared pointedly at the mean kids, who were sitting at the back whispering to eachother.

"So we're here to tell you that just because someone might look different, doesn't mean they're a bad person. What reason do any of you have to bully Free just because he's a little chubby?"

Free smiled, but I could see tears in his eyes.

"Don't judge someone by their looks!" Valt and I said together.

Everyone was silent, and I saw that they were all looking at Free, who blushed. Then a tear ran down his face.

"Free..." I whisper, and swiftly jumped off the stage and ran to him. I threw my arms around him. I felt his tears drop onto my shoulder

"Y/N, thank you," Free whispered. "Thank you for everything. Ever since we met, I've felt like my life has been lighter in a way."

I kissed his cheek gently. "I'm glad I met you too, Free."

We were silent for a minute, and so was everyone else. Everything was quiet, and all I could hear was Free's soft breathing in my ear.

Then I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned around to see Valt smiling at us.

"Uh, Valt. I forgot you were here." I said sheepishly.

"My wish came true!" Valt squealed, ignoring me.

"What wish?"

Valt smiled wider. "My wish that you and Free would get together!"

I blushed. "W-we're not dating..."

"We are now." I felt Free put his arm around me. "That is, if you want to be my girlfriend, Y/N."

I don't hesitate at all. "Of course I do, Free!" I hugged him again.

Valt ran up and hugged us both too. "This is the happiest day of my life!" he exclaimed. "Well, except for maybe the day I... Never mind. This is the best!"

I laughed. "It's the happiest day for me too."

"And me." Free chimed in. "Also that speech you and Valt did was awesome. After hearing it I feel more confident to stand up to the kids that bully me."

"I won't let them bully you full stop!" I said, still laughing.

"Me neither!" Valt said, not wanting to be left out.

"We'll both protect you, Free!"

Free slept in my room that night. Not in my bed though; we didn't go that far. He slept on the ground, next to my bed.

"Hey, Y/N," Free said sleepily just before I switched off the lamp.

"Yeah?"

"I love you, you know that?"

I smiled. "I love you too, Free, and I always will, whatever you look like."

Free smiled and closed his eyes. "I know you will, Y/N."

Well, this story is done!!! I hope you liked it all!!!! I really enjoyed writing it!!!!

I might do a sequel, and I might not. Idk yet. Let me know if you'd like one!!!!!
