7. Oh Na, Na, What's My Name?

Yeah, Rihanna is a bit rude in this story, so sorry for all you Rihanna fans out there. Also, everything I say about Rihanna in this chapter (and beyond) isn't true, this was all made up just for the sake of this book x

Just you & me, Rihanna, baby.

Just you and me.

Ain't nothing gonna stop us now.

Ashanti was located right in front of the VIP section curtain, and she had been there for like ten minutes now because she was way too scared to actually knock on the door.

Some security guards had actually checked to see if there was anyone in there, or near there, but whenever Ashanti had realised this, then she would have always smartly hidden underneath the curtain leading to the VIP section so that nobody could have seen her.

It was her ultimate dream to meet Rihanna, and now Ashanti could have finally done that...

But something had seemed to be holding her back.

What's going on, girl? Just knock on the door, it can't be that hard, can it?

No it can't.

Ashanti had tried to knock on the door a lot of times, but for some reason, something had seemed to be holding her back still, but she wasn't sure what.

I'll just eavesdrop for now. It seems more safe. I'll just knock at the right time.

But what Ashanti hadn't seemed to realise was.

What if the right time had never really come?

Now could have probably been her only time to meet Rihanna in person and she was totally blowing it.

Rihanna didn't seem to be the only person in the VIP room though. She had seemed to be talking to other people, and well.

She was.

Ashanti could have literally heard the song "What's My Name?" by Rihanna playing in the background as Rihanna had talked about her seemingly recent feud with Cardi B.

Oh na, na. What's my name?
Oh na, na. What's my name?
Oh na, na. What's my name?
What's my name?
What's my name?

If it was a long time ago then Rihanna had dang good memory, but then again, fights weren't that easy to forget, were they?

No, no they weren't.

Ashanti had remembered many of her fights with Kehlani, even the ones from years ago that Kehlani had seemingly forgotten (his memory wasn't as good as hers to be fair).

I know right? And Cardi B was all like 'Rihanna, your songs ain't even that great anyway'. Like who the hell does she think she is? Begone wit' ya!

Rihanna, you're such a kingpin, girl. Without you, the Sugar & Spice Organization wouldn't be this successful. We love you, girl.

The Sugar & Spice Organization was a gang, who had tried to blend in with normal people, but in reality, they had just wanted to kill them later.

Well, specific people anyway.

Everyone in the group was a minority ethic person (except a girl called Shaylana who was played by Gwen Stefani), and they wanted to get revenge on some ethnic majorities for causing them so much oppression into the world.

The ethnic majorities they were against also had a gang too, called The Black Cobras. Kinda like On My Block with the different gangs.

Ironic because none of The Black Cobras were black, except from like one person out of like ten, but alrighty then.

Ashanti wasn't really a minority ethnic person. She was just light skinned, but she was from California. That wasn't a minority ethnic person, right?

The Sugar & Spice Organization was called that because everyone in the group had actually acted sweet to everyone, but in reality they had some ulterior motives: to fight for justice by murdering every ethnic majority person in the Black Cobras that had been making the Sugar & Spice Organization suffer since like the beginning of time.

Rihanna was the leader of the organisation, and she had started this after her cousin (the same one who's house everyone was in now for the house party) had experienced extreme racism out in public and at school the other day, and she had gotten kinda bullied for it.

They hadn't really been a group for that long, like two weeks or no, as her cousin had gotten bullied due to her race recently.

There were also seven of them in the group in total: Alsharafzi, Giovanni, Rihanna, Shaylana, Seyitan, Rosabella & Zonarosa.

Alsharafzi = Korean American. 17 years old. Rihanna was his aunty. He was adopted.

He was the good person in the group that had normally asked everyone else in the group if they were doing the right thing half the time, and he was in the group in the first place because the dude really didn't have a choice on that.

Shaylana & Seyitan: Non identical twins. Heck, they were very non identical, Shaylana was white and Seyitan was black (played by Keke Palmer).

Two of Rihanna's best protégés. They were basically the younger version of her, and Rihanna had loved both of them equally.

Although Shaylana was a lot more quiet than Seyitan, but both of their inputs were still really important.

Rosabella= the low-key 'I don't give a fudge' attitude. She was savage. She didn't care what people had thought, she had done it anyway.

Rosabella was also Rihanna's cousin that had gotten bullied due to her race and ethnicity and she wanted to get revenge for it as well.

Giovanni and Zonarosa were also siblings, but unlike Seyitan and Shaylana, they hadn't really gotten along. Giovanni had normally done the most tasks for Rihanna because he was more useful than everybody else combined.

And Rihanna= Queen Riri was in the house. She slayed. She was basically Rosabella, but older. She was a kingpin, the organisation wouldn't have been successful without her.

Rihanna had known all these people as they had all gone to school and university with her, except Alsharafzi, who was her nephew.

There were more girls than boys because Rihanna had more friends that were girls than friends that were guys, plus surprisingly, more girls were interested in joining a gang with her than guys were somehow.

If Ashanti had known that they were part of a gang, then she wouldn't even had set a foot near them, if she had known what the heck was best for her.

But she didn't know that they were a gang. Not many people did though, because Sugar & Spice were so discreet and secret about it.

It seemed as though Ashanti had only heard what she wanted to hear because she really couldn't stop fawning over the fact that Rihanna had had a feud with Cardi B.

She didn't even hear the Sugar & Spice Organization bit, but then again Seyitan was really quiet about it, as she felt as though anyone could have eavesdropped one them, and she didn't want her cover blown.

Sugar and Spice had a headquarters too, there were way more than just seven of them. There were seventeen instead.

But obviously, some people had to stay in the headquarters to look after it, as if all 17 of them were out in public at once, then that would have been lowkey suspicious.

Missy Elliott as well as some other dude was in charge of the headquarters underground.

The headquarters was inevitably called Sugar & Spice headquarters and if someone had tried to enter it without permission then they could have gotten electrocuted due to risk of having their cover blown by some third parties and all that.

Rihanna had read somewhere that the more people there were in a gang then the more effective the gang would have been.

Also the worse the gang was (as why need so many people in the first place), but Rihanna had gone with the former.

Ashanti had eavesdropped on the conversation long enough to kind of forget why she was there in the first place, and to also know and learn the full details about Rihanna and Cardi B's fight.

Dang.

That would have sucked.

Wow. She had a fight with Cardi B?

So cool. I would have loved to be there!

Then realising that she had been standing there for way too long, and she had felt as though someone watching was getting suspicious, Ashanti had knocked on the door terrifyingly, can't believing that she was actually going to meet Rihanna in person.

Rihanna hadn't answered the door at first, as she was very sceptical about who it was. She didn't want any fans coming in to get her autograph, but that was the issue.

That was exactly what Ashanti was there for.

When Rihanna hadn't answered Ashanti at the other side of the door, Ashanti had started thinking that maybe Kehlani & Kishati was right, and that this was a bad idea.

Looking dejected, Ashanti had turned back, but she didn't need to because Rihanna had answered the door for her.

"Who is it?" Rihanna wanted to know. "What's your name?"

Ashanti knew it was Rihanna due to her voice. When she had heard this, she couldn't believe that she was actually talking to her in person either.

This was an ultimate dream come true for Ashanti, although she must have been cheering about talking to Rihanna for way too long as she had suspiciously forgotten to reply to the question she had asked her about what her name was.

"Ashanti."

"Ashanti?" Rihanna repeated. "What are you doing in this neighbourhood, girl? I thought you were with Ja Rule!"

When Ashanti had heard this, she was confused, then she had realised something.

Oh, she thinks I'm the singer Ashanti! Oh no no no. But I don't want to break her heart.

"Oh no, I'm not a singer. I'm just a teenager. I'm a huge fan of you though and I love all your songs. You rock, Riri."

Rihanna didn't say anything for a while, grudgingly opening the door to see who it was.

In reality, she wouldn't have done this, but Ashanti had complimented her, which she hadn't even said thank you to for that.

She had opened the door eventually, staring at Ashanti. But she also had to look down, because Ashanti was a lot shorter than Rihanna had thought she was going to be.

"What are you doing in here? No one's allowed in here. I'm finna call the security guards to take you downstairs. Security!"

"No please, Rihanna. Don't do that. I've always wanted to meet you in person. Please give me a chance."

It had taken a lot of thinking about it, and staring at Ashanti down spitefully, very spitefully, but Rihanna had given her a chance eventually, adding an ultimatum afterwards.

"OK, but I swear, if you tell anyone that I let you in here, I will hurt you." She whispered, staring Ashanti down with gritted teeth. "Do you understand that?"

Ashanti had nodded, and when she had done that, Rihanna had let her in, checking to see that nobody was watching as she wasn't allowed to invite people in, before closing the door.

I swear, if you tell anyone I let you in here, I will hurt you. Do you understand that?

Rihanna would have hurt Ashanti if she had told anyone that she had let her in the VIP section.

Hahaha.

Literally.

For Ashanti though, everything was a dream come true, although she didn't realise the amount of trouble that she had literally just gotten herself right into.

No, Ashanti wasn't oblivious.

She just didn't really know that they were a gang.

Because, as mentioned before, the Sugar & Spice organisation had secretly hidden the fact that they were a gang from everyone else really well.

What would y'all do if y'all had met Rihanna in person? Just curious. x
