5. We Need A Resolution, We Have So Much Confusion

Y'all, I am really feeling this book so some double updates whenever I feel like it! :)

"Kehlani."

No response.

And then again.

"Kehlani."

But the same thing had happened.

Kehlani and Kishati had just ended friendship with Ashanti due to how irresponsible and reckless she was being.

But you know how much I've wanted to meet Rihanna, Kehlani. And we're already here now, so there's no point going back. You know, I don't need a bunch of Debbie downers just trying to bring me down....

That was one of the things that Ashanti had said to both of them when she was ranting at them.

But the truth was, Kehlani & Kishati weren't being the Debbie downers, Ashanti was being one instead, and quite frankly, both Kishati & Kehlani were becoming kind of sick of it.

Like Kehlani had said he was going to do, he was now heading downstairs because he had seen a foosball table that he had always wanted to try out but he had never had the chance to although now things had changed.

Kishati had been following Kehlani around everywhere, trying to talk to him. For some reason though, the dude didn't really seem to be responding to her but she didn't really know why this was the case.

It just was.

This must have been a new world record for Kishati or something because she had never ended friendship with someone that fast before.

Although she wasn't really mad at Ashanti much, she was kind of mad at Kehlani for being mad at Ashanti, but the reason on why this was the case would have all been revealed later.

Much later.

"Kehlani, man. Stop walking and listen to me."

Both her and Kehlani were trying really hard to walk out of the VIP section which was surprisingly really hard to do.

All of upstairs was the VIP section really, and upstairs was massive.

Annoyed, Kehlani had turned to face her, before hissing an infuriated 'what?' to her, but not saying anything else after that.

"What's your deal, man? Why do you keep ignoring me?" Kishati paused as she had realised something. "Is it because you're pissed at Ashanti?"

Kehlani was pissed at Ashanti.

Very pissed at Ashanti.

In fact, he was so annoyed at her that he didn't even reply to Kishati's question about her. He had just glanced straight at her, frowning but saying nothing else.

Until he realised something.

"A security guard is coming and I can sense it. We've got to hide."

"But you didn't even answer my question though."

"We've got to hide," Kehlani muttered again, through gritted teeth, grabbing Kishati's hand as painfully as he could before running away with her.

Unfortunately though, as both of them were trying to hide from the security guards, one of them had actually caught sight of them, so now he was helplessly looking for them.

The security guard that had caught them was white, with a tuxedo and sunglasses in order to make him look sophisticated.

He was wearing flashy shoes as well as a golden watch & he also had a very terrible looking Mohawk, which was terrible in Kehlani's opinion, but he wasn't entirely sure about Kishati's.

He seemed Albino, kinda like Tobias from Black Lightning, but yeah. Without the Mohawk though as Tobias didn't have one.

Right now, both Kehlani and Kishati were running away from him, trying to find somewhere to hide.

Kishati had realised that there was a table in the middle of the staircase with a cloth underneath it, so she had hidden in there.

But when she had commanded Kehlani to do the same thing with her, he was about to, but the dude really wasn't fast enough.

In simpler words...

The security guard had caught him.

By now, Kehlani was beyond freaked out, especially when the security guard had come close to him, making Kehlani's eyes widen in horror.

"Caught you red handed," the security guard whispered to Kehlani, smiling mischievously like he wanted to kill him or something, but couldn't.

He had that smooth and silky tone in his voice that was nice to hear and listen to, but not right now as Kehlani was kind of getting told off for it.

"What you doin' out here, anyway? Ain't nobody allowed in 'ere without permission."

Kehlani had to think of a good answer, and fast too. He was in deep trouble now, and there was no escaping this one.

The guy was as doomed as it was.

I need a resolution, he realised to himself. And I can't not reply, he'll get suspicious and he'll think I'm stalling.

I don't want that. I'll get in more trouble that before. And I'd probably get killed for that too. Literally.

"I was just trying to visit Rihanna like everybody else."

"Ain't nobody here visiting Rihanna," the security guard deadpanned. "Especially unworthy low lives like you. You're coming with me."

And his name must have been Cameron or something because he had a white name tag saying Cameron on it in black somewhat messy writing, but it could have been anyone's name.

Weird assumption, but it could have been true.

Unexpectedly, Cameron had then grabbed Kehlani by the hands and took him away, probably to kick him outside of the party for breaking the rules.

In the meantime, Kishati was still hiding underneath the table, but when she realised that Kehlani was being taking away from her, she completely freaked out.

Luckily she was really good at lip reading, so when Kehlani had said help to her, she had understood him completely.

How the heck do I help you out though? Kishati mouthed back.

It would have been so much more easier for both of them if they had had each other's phone numbers, but both of them were amazingly good at lip reading so there wasn't really much of a problem.

Both Kehlani and Kishati didn't really know each other well enough to exchange numbers anyway, not that that had mattered much, as Kishati's phone was dead right now & Kehlani's phone was about to die anyway.

You're the highest belt in karate, you realise that, right? You can literally use that to your own advantage. Ain't no stopping you now.

OK, so Kishati didn't really understand that word for word, but she did understand the karate bit, jumping to conclusions that Kehlani wanted to her to use karate on the security guard like she had done with Jordan & Khalil earlier.

And well, she was right about that.

Getting out from the table to help Kehlani, Kishati had then unexpectedly used karate on the security guard as he was taking Kehlani away downstairs.

Inevitably, when other security guards had realised that Kishati was beating up Cameron, they had tried to stop her.

Which had completely backfired considering the fact that Kishati could have just used karate on them too, and she did.

When everything was over after about two or so minutes, Kishati had rescued Kehlani, before taking the guy to the other way, where there were hardly any security guards.

Even though none of the security guards were dead right now, they might as well have been dead because they had all seemed pretty dang lifeless at the moment.

Neither of them had even realised that there was an alternative route to go downstairs, otherwise they would have taken that way from the start, but they didn't.

"You OK, Kehlani?"

"Yeah, you?"

Kishati had said that yes, she was OK, before asking him why he would have asked her that.

"Don't know. The karate seemed pretty painful. Nice job by the way, you literally saved my life."

After saying that, Kehlani had suddenly hugged her, not that Kishati had minded because she had hugged him too.

"No problem, bro. I'm just glad you're OK." She then paused for effect and suspense. "Now, about Ashanti..."
