20. Taking One For The Team

Dang, I really wish me getting suspended was part of the risks. I've kinda done that already, so that would have only left two risks for me to do.
And honestly?
What's the point of Rihanna letting me choose my own risks if she was going to choose them for me to the whole time?
Unless she didn't?
Unless she had just chosen them now?
Who knows?
Either way... if I don't do them, then I'm done for.
Thoughts like this had kept on filling Ashanti's mind as Rihanna had given her the rules.
She had to do the three risks that Rihanna had said that she was going to do in the order that she had said them (kill someone, vandalise a store and take candy from a baby) and she was going to be scored out of ten for each one.
She needed 20/30 to be accepted into their group, otherwise it would have been a goodbye and a kaboom to her.
When Ashanti had heard that she was going to be killing somebody, she had wanted to forfeit, that was until Rihanna had told her that if she hadn't killed somebody, then Rihanna would have shot her instead.
Shaylana had a gun in her bag that she had kept discreetly for very obvious reasons, with the entire Sugar & Spice organisation keeping a low profile, just like Ashanti, Alsharafzi and Zonarosa were doing as well.
Handing it over to Rihanna, Rihanna had then set the gun up, before giving it to a petrified Ashanti and explaining everything.
But before Rihanna had actually explained anything to Ashanti though, she had turned her bad round to some car, with an old man about to go behind it.
"Shoot that old man over there."
Was Rihanna crazy?
Because it had honestly seemed that way.
"Are you kidding me?" Ashanti wanted to cry but she didn't. "He looks so sweet and innocent!"
He was a very elderly man on a walking stick, and he had looked about ninety or something, at best. He was dark skinned, and he he was walking really slowly.
Ashanti couldn't have killed him!
She probably would have gotten arrested for life or something else that was extremely abysmal if she had done that, assuming that the police had found out what she had done and all that.
Although looks were deceiving.
He could have seemed sweet but was he really?
Ashanti didn't know.
But she was equally as bad as the man was (assuming he had a terrible personality) if she had killed him.
"Yeah, well, the dude is close to death anyway, so you might as well take one for the team and do it."
"Giovanni's right," Rihanna had agreed, before pretty much grabbing Ashanti's shoulders and squeezing them to death. "Now kill him, otherwise I will kill you," She had whispered in Ashanti's ear through gritted teeth.
Surely, Ashanti wasn't evil enough to kill and elderly and innocent man, was she?
Of course she wasn't.
She was even shaking a lot when the gun was in her hand, feeling even worse when Alsharafzi and Zonarosa had shaken their heads at her when Rihanna wasn't looking or paying attention.
When she was looking though, they had smiled at her, acting as if they had been encouraging Ashanti the whole time and not doing the opposite thing instead.
"Come on, Ashanti, baby. Just put your hand around the trigger," she had curled Ashanti's hand around the trigger for her. "And shoot him."
For no reason?
Oh hell no.
But Ashanti had kept on shaking either way, not doing anything else.
She was literally crying now.
Kehlani and Kishati were right and there was nothing that she could have done.
"And you know this how?" She argued back. "Look, Alsharafzi and Zonarosa seem like genuine people. If they weren't, then they wouldn't have asked me after the mechanical bull incident if I was OK. And maybe all of them are nice behind the scenes, but Rihanna just forces them to be rude. That's kinda what I want to find out."
Alsharafzi and Zonarosa were nice.
But oh ho ho.
Not Rihanna.
She had kept on shaking and crying (and kinda wanting to forfeit completely too), but Rihanna had just ignored her encouraging her to shoot the elderly man quietly instead.
Unfortunately though, as some point during this entire process (Ashanti not wanting to shoot him and refusing to do so), Rihanna had petrified Ashanti so much that she had ended up shooting something.
But it wasn't the man.
Oh no, it wasn't.
It was the car he was about to pass.
When Rihanna had realised that Ashanti had shot the man instead of the car, let's just say that she wasn't very happy at all..
Literally yelling at Ashanti for what she had done, but not loudly enough for them to have their cover blown or anything.
Thank God that not a lot of people had walked past or lived in Krondon Alleyway right now, as if they had done so, then Ashanti would have probably been arrested by now for trying to kill an innocent and elderly man.
"You just shot the car, you idiot!"
"Maybe it was on purpose!"
Rihanna sighed, before snatching the gun away from her and doing what she had wanted Ashanti to do instead.
She had cocked the gun again and everything, trying to shoot this man but couldn't as the gun had ran out of bullets.
She had condemned Giovanni for this, who had then condemned Shaylana, as she was carrying the gun in the first place.
When she had had enough though, Rihanna had then sighed to herself, before telling Shaylana to write 3/10 for the first risk that Ashanti had just done.
"Only 3 out of 10?"
"Should I make it 2 instead? Because I can and I will."
Ashanti hadn't said anything.
"That was what I thought."
She had then pretty much forced everyone to move on to the next round, which was for Ashanti to completely vandalise a store.
That was also ranked out of ten as well, but if Ashanti had gotten caught, or she hadn't done her job correctly, then she wouldn't really have gotten less than half marks.
Ashanti didn't want to vandalise a store though, because she had wanted to shoplift the store instead.
Well, to be honest?
She didn't want to do either of them, but she knew where backing out had left her: dead or seriously hurt in the process.
Rihanna had said that she had to vandalise it, with Ashanti forcing her to shoplift from it instead.
After a while though, specifically when Rihanna had gotten fed up of Ashanti begging her, she had said that she could have shoplifted the store instead, but as she was probably scared to do so, someone could have come with her instead.
Ashanti had inevitably wanted Rihanna to come with her, with Rihanna saying nice try to her, so she had chosen Alsharafzi instead.
Alsharafzi was cute and he was nice, so there was absolutely no way on planet Earth that Ashanti was going to miss out on that beautiful double package.
As there were six of them, they had to shoplift six things in six minutes and they couldn't have gotten caught either.
They couldn't have bought the same thing, but they could have bought anything, if that had made sense.
Understanding that, Ashanti and Alsharafzi had then left the scene, with Rihanna wishing her good luck, although really wanting her to fail as she didn't want her to join the group.
They now had six minutes to do everything.
Starting now.
The clock was ticking.

Nah, but on a real level though, if any of y'all feel peer pressure at any point in your life, you should tell someone you can trust, or if you're religious then pray about it x
