Chapter 32

October 2006

"Sadie! Ms Roxy's here!" Lily screeched excitedly, bounding into the living room and doing her happy dance.

Sadie looked up from her magazine and beamed. "Finally! Thought her plane got lost or something." She slowly sat up and stretched out her neck and back. 34 weeks along, she had been forced back to Jersey when three episodes of her blood sugar dropping sent her health into a tailspin.

Sadly, Lost Highway was being released. Sadie was adamant that Dave do what he needed for the promotionals, with the promise he would be home well before the baby came along.

"That's right, bitches," Roxy said from the doorway. "Ms Roxy is in the house!" She made her dramatic entrance, arms thrown into the air as she posed dramatically against the door frame. Both Sadie's and Lily's eyes popped wide before all three collapsed into giggles. "Oh, god...that felt good!" she exclaimed.

Sadie stood with Lily's help and showed off her protruding belly. "Look, Momma! I grew!"

"Oh, my!" Roxy gasped, stepping closer to her friend. "That you did! May I?" she asked, her hands held mere inches over Sadie's belly.

"Of course! If there's one person who doesn't need my permission!"

Roxy squeaked and knelt down, placing both hands on either side of the growing child, resting her head on Sadie's belly, and said, "Hello, little one...it's Aunty Roxy."

"Isaac...that's the name we settled on," Sadie cooed and smiled. "Isaac Levanah Bryan."

"Aww, I love it," Roxy sighed, looking up. "Hi, Isaac. I can't wait to hold you." There was an almost violent roll beneath her hands, making Roxy gasp again. "Oh! You heard me!"

Lily quietly and patiently waited for her turn with hugs, fiddling with her skirt. "He's been kicking alot and even kicked Gabby yesterday," she giggled.

Roxy looked over to Lily, smiled and said, "Hey, Lily-Pilly, can I have one of your awesome hugs, please?"

Lily threw her arms around Roxy and squeezed. "We made you cookies too! Well...Gabby and I did. Daddy specifically told Sadie to rest so we've made sure she is. Strict Daddy orders!"

"Strict Daddy Orders are the best kind of orders. And I can't wait to taste the cookies," Roxy grinned. "Where are the twins?" Roxy squeezed Lily again before rising from her knees and wrapping her arms around her friend properly. "You need to sit back down, human incubator," she said, automatically feeling for Sadie's pulse in her wrist.

Sadie rested back on the couch with her blanket, shivering slightly. "Colton's out with his friend on the ATVs. Gabby's been hooked on that Twilight book. The newest one just came out so she's been shut up in her room reading. No matter what I do, I can't get this house warm enough so I said fuck it and lit a fire." She gestured over to the large marble fireplace with roaring flames in the grate.

Roxy looked at her friend with a critical eye. Sadie looked okay but that didn't mean anything when it came to managing her diabetes. "When was the last time you checked your bloods?" she asked. He pulse had been a little on the fast side but that could be attributed to the excitement of her arrival.

"At least four times a day, sometimes five," Sadie answered, rubbing her belly.

"And everything is fine?"

"Only just. It'll be average after I eat then drop two hours after. And that's with eating or drinking something with sugar. Some women, their bodies can't keep up with the sugar. Mine is the opposite. It's like...it's absorbing it too quickly."

Lily crawled onto the couch and snuggled under the blanket with Sadie. "Your hands are like icy freezies...here..." she wrapped her smaller hands around her stepmom.

Sadie kissed the top of Lily's head. "On top of that, I've had pounding headaches and my blood pressure's been higher than normal. I've had either in-person or e-visits with my OB every few days. Of course David's been a wreck not being here."

"Well...you've got me here now," Roxy said, tucking the blanket around Sadie securely. "I'll take my bag to my room and then make us a nice cup of herbal tea while we catch up. Lily...you're my trainee nurse while I'm here," she continued. "While I'm doing that, I need you to stay here for the moment and keep Sadie warm for me and let me know if anything changes. You think you can do that, Nurse Lily?"

"Absolutely, Nurse Roxy," the youngster said with grave seriousness.

"Good. Excellent work," she nodded, winking at Sadie. "I'll be right back." Roxy left the living room and, collecting her suitcase from the front door where she'd left it, hauled it up the stairs. "Which room am I in?" she yelled to Sadie.

"Third on the left! Closest one to the Master suite!" Sadie called back.

"At least David isn't here," Roxy muttered to herself. "I'll at least get some sleep." Roxy stopped at Gabby's door first, dumping her suitcase beside the door before knocking. "Can I come in?" she called out.

"It's open."

Roxy opened the door and poked her head through. "Hey, kiddo," she said, entering the teenager's room.

"Roxy!" she gasped, marking her page and leaping from the bed.

"Wow, you Bryan's know how to give good hug," Roxy chuckled. "I was just going to put my bag in the room then make some tea. Want some?"

"Sure," Gabby said. "That'll give me some time to finish this chapter. Have you read this book? It's amazing!"

"When did you get it?" she asked, looking at where the marker was in the pages.

"Yesterday," the teen girl replied, "Dad pre-ordered it for me."

"It must be good! I'll borrow it tonight when you're finished," she chuckled.

Gabby giggled, "I'll totally be done with it by tonight. How long are you gonna be here? Dad's not supposed to be home for about three weeks."

"Unless Sadie kicks me out," Roxy said, heading toward the door, "I think I'm here until your Dad gets home. Why?"

"I don't think Dad knows how bad it's really been," Gabby frowned. "I mean...I remember Lexi being pregnant and she wasn't this bad."

Roxy turned, listening to the concern in the girl's voice, "What do you mean by bad, honey?"

"Like she's running a fever...where you're cold but sweating and really shaky. She couldn't even hold the matches to light the fireplace. Colton had to do it. And she said her heart felt like it was racing or she'd get dizzy. Is that normal?"

"Shit," Roxy swore, suddenly more concerned than ever. "No, not usually. Thanks for letting me know, honey. I'll knock on your door in a few when I'm going back down, okay?!"

Gabby nodded and threw herself back on the bed to finish her chapter.

Roxy hurried to her assigned room and toed out of her travel boots and quickly changed into some comfortable clothes. She'd learned to pack and unpack efficiently from being on the road with the band and, within fifteen minutes, was ready for the tea and cookies.

Closing the door behind her, Roxy headed back toward the stairs, knocking on Gabby's door on the way past. "I'm making the tea now," she called out, not waiting for an answer.

Making her way down the stairs quickly, checking in on Sadie and seeing her resting with Lily, Roxy went to the kitchen. She eyed off the huge, and scary machine, before placing some water on to boil the old-fashioned way and set some mugs out for the tea and a hot chocolate for Lily.

While the water was boiling, Roxy popped into the living room and said, "Lily, do you want marshmallows with your hot chocolate, honey? Is Sadie sleeping?"

But Lily didn't look up. Instead she was watching Sadie intently, shaking and trying to wake her. "Sadie...tea is almost done. Wake up..." She screeched and jumped back. "Sadie??"

Roxy, concerned, moved into the room further and leaned over the back of the sofa. Sadie was pale as a ghost and sweating, her body locked as a seizure rocked her. "Shit! Shit, shit, shit," Roxy swore. "Nurse Lily, can you go run and get Gabby? Run, okay...but be careful on the stairs and have Gabby call your Dad. Tell him to be on the next flight. Go!"

"Okay," the little girl said, tearfully, and ran off.

Roxy put Sadie on her side and checked her vitals, reaching for her phone in her pocket and dialing for the paramedics. "Yes, hello," she said when the operator answered. "I have a thirty-six year old female, thirty four weeks pregnant, who is currently having a diabetic seizure. I've only arrived from the West Coast, so I'm not sure what her glucose levels are. Yes, I'm a registered nurse. The address is...fuck, what's the address here...?"

"206 Concord Court," Gabby answered from the doorway, already holding her phone to her ear. "I have Dad on the line."

Roxy looked up and nodded, repeating the address to the dispatch. "Yes, I can watch her and administer any CPR if needed. Thank you, yes, I'll stay on the line." Roxy handed the phone to Gabby, saying, "Listen for any instructions while I talk to your dad." She saw Lily cowering in the corner and said, "Sadie will be fine, Nurse Lily. You did an excellent job. But can you please go turn off the kettle for me, sweetheart?"

"Christ, is anyone gonna answer me?!" David's voice came from the phone. "The fucks going on?"

"Hold the fuck on, D," Roxy growled softly, "unless you want a traumatized daughter too."

"Paramedics are on the way," Gabby called out. "Ten minutes

"Lily, look at me, honey," Roxy crooned, shifting her attention from Sadie for the moment. "You hear that? The paramedics are coming to help Sadie and I'm here too. She and the baby will be okay, I promise." She hugged Lily tightly, then pushed her toward the kitchen. "Now, go turn off the water and grab me a cookie, please? If you have a jar of jelly, grab that too."

"Okay, Aunty...we have strawberry jelly...it's her favorite," Lily cried and ran off into the kitchen.

Roxy took a deep breath, meeting Gabby's eyes and giving the older girl a small smile before speaking into the phone. "Sadie will be okay, David," Roxy said, her adrenaline at peak levels. "I'm keeping a close watch on her and the baby. Why didn't you tell me she's been bottoming out like this?"

"I'm getting my shit and hopping the red-eye," David replied. "Her blood sugar's been bottoming out? She said her doctor got it under control. Fuck! I knew I shouldn't have let her go home alone."

Roxy sighed. "She's so fucking stubborn. Too stubborn for her own good," she said as Lily returned with the jar and the cookie. "Thanks, honey. Now go find Sadie's blood monitor for me, please, Nurse Lily." Speaking to David as she scooped a little of the fruit out of the jar and smeared it on Sadie's gum.

"I'm gonna go open the gate for them," Gabby announced and ran from the room.

"David, your girls are amazing...just thought I'd tell you that. The paramedics are here now."

"Make sure they take her to Monmouth," David said, "That's where her OB is. I'll give her a call and let her know what's happening. Please just keep my girls safe until I get there."

"Monmouth, okay," Roxy nodded, committing the name to memory as she checked Sadie's vitals again. "Okay, the seizure has eased. That's a good sign. And, David...you know I will keep them safe and little Isaac too."

Lily rushed back in and handed over the blood monitor as the front door swung open. "She's in here," Gabby could be heard saying and leading them over to Sadie.

"Gimme a second to do a hand over to the paramedics," Roxy said, handing Gabby's phone back to her as the team rushed in and started their work. Roxy recited all the information that she knew of to the head paramedic before adding, "I haven't checked her glucose levels yet. I was about to, when you arrived."

Sadie's eyes slowly rolled back into their normal position as one of the medics kneeled next to her. "Sadie? Sadie...can you hear me?" She blinked twice, attempting to focus on him. "Can you tell me how old you are?"

"3...36," she breathed out quietly.

"How far along are you, Sadie?"

"Ei-eight m-m-months." Her breathing was shaky at best.

"BP 170/110...heart rate 136...O2 89%...let's get her on oxygen, strapped to the stretcher...alert the hospital to--"

"Monmouth!" Roxy interrupted. "It has to be Monmouth. That's where her OB is. Her fiance is on his way. He's catching the first available flight, a red-eye."

The paramedic typed in the information and, while the stretcher was brought in, managed to get an IV into Sadie's arm and fluids started.

Gabby held the phone out to Roxy. "Dad wants to speak to you again."

"Hey...," Roxy sighed into the handpiece. "She's okay. She's come around and is lucid. Weak but lucid. I'll keep everyone here safe and meet you at the hospital, okay?!"

"Rox...thanks," David said, his voice thick. "I'm...I'm glad you were there. My car is here. I'll see you in a few hours. Tell Sadie I love her and Isaac."

"I will," she said and was left with the deadline beeping in her ear.

"Right," the paramedic said. "We're ready to take Mommy here, to the hospital. Who is riding with us?"

"Gabby..."

"On it...I'll ride with you all. I'm her...stepdaughter," she replied and followed the medics.

"I'll ring Colton and pick him up on the way through," Roxy said. "Lily and I will meet you up at the hospital. If you need me, call me, Gabby. You got that?!"

"Yes, ma'am," Gabby nodded.

"Wait a minute, please?" Roxy stepped up to the guernsey and took Sadie's hand in hers. "Don't be a stubborn ass next time, Sades! I can't lose you now, you hear me?! You've got this beautiful family to take care of."

"Does this count as naughty school girl?" Sadie mumbled.

Roxy laughed, nodding, "Yes, and you'll pay dearly for it. Behave yourself in the ambulance. These guys are cute!" she whispered.

"Still got it," Sadie smiled weakly. "Speaking of cute men..."

"He's catching a flight...hopefully he'll be here within a few hours." Sadie nodded and the medics wheeled her out, blankets wrapped around her for warmth. "Make sure to keep her wrapped up!" Roxy yelled and exhaled sharply as the door closed.

Lily glanced between her and the door and back again, silently tears streaming down her cheeks. She slowly approached Roxy and laid her head on the woman's stomach. "Would a cookie make you feel better?" Lily asked in a quiet voice.

Roxy brushed her hand over the golden hair, the same colour as her father's, and knelt down beside the little girl. "Maybe...but I know what would be even betterer," Roxy said. "One of your hugs." She held out her arms and Lily melted into them.

"That was a little scary, huh?!" Roxy was grateful she worked in pediatrics and knew how kids ticked. It came in handy with Ava, too, when she was staying with her father. She felt Lily nod against her shoulder and her little body shudder with a restrained sob.

"Daddy's not gonna lose her like he lost my mommy, is he?"

"No, baby," Roxy crooned. "Sadie's tough, just like you are! She was awake when she left. I'm so very proud of you tonight, Daddy will be, too. You did everything I asked you to do. And Gabby. You're both so brave! "

"We've had to help Daddy before," Lily confessed. "He says my hugs always calm him down."

"How have you helped Daddy, sweetheart?" Roxy asked. " Let's get our coats and shoes while you tell me what happened to Daddy?" Roxy, after grabbing her purse from the hall table, followed Lily to where their coats hung near the garage door and contemplated which set of car keys to take.

Lily pointed at one set of keys. "Daddy uses that one. It has my seat." She ran out into the garage and stood patiently by a pristine black Rolls Royce SUV.

"Okay, just an SUV worth over $300k...I can handle that...no pressure," Roxy said to herself, making sure she had her phone in her pocket. Pressing the button on the fob, the car unlocked. "In you hop, Lily-Pilly."

She'd just got Lily buckled in when her phone rang. Richie. "Hey, babe...don't suppose you know the security code to arm Lema's house?" she asked without letting him speak.

"5318008," Richie answered.

"Weird and long, but ok," Roxy sighed.

"If you type it on a calculator and flip it over, it spells BOOBIES."

"Of course," Roxy said, blandly. "Thanks, baby. I gotta call Colton, can I ring you straight back?"

"Sure," Richie said. "Drive safe, darlin'."

"Promise," she said. Roxy keyed in the security code and hopped into the driver's seat and carefully reversed the car out the garage. She dialed Colton's number that Gabby had texted to her in the ambulance, as she waited for the door to close.

"Hello?" Colton asked warily, unsure of the number.

"Hey, Colton, it's Roxy," she replied.

"Hey Roxy, Dad already called me," Colton said, "My friend's mom said she'd drop me off at the hospital after dinner...or that I could stay over here until Dad's back."

"If you wanna stay, I'm okay with that," Roxy said. "Hospitals can be boring sometimes. Please tell your friend's mom, thanks, though. I'll get your Dad to call you when I see him. I'm sure he'll want you home when he's here. Gabby's gone with Sadie in the ambulance and I've got Lily with me."

"Gabby's riding in the ambulance?! Lucky b-."

"Colton!" Roxy gasped with a chuckle. "You're on speaker and your sister is listening."

"Oop sorry," Colton laughed. "Lemme know if you need a big strong man for support."

"Phht," Roxy replied. "You still got that PlayStation? I'll show you who's boss! Behave yourself, I gotta ring Richie back. I'll see you soon, kid."

"I ain't no kid..." And the phone went dead.

"Damn it," Roxy muttered. "Since when did your brother start with the attitude?"

Lily stared out the window at the darkening countryside and shrugged. "I dunno...he and Daddy have been arguing more. Sets off Daddy's anxiety biggie time!"

"I'm sorry, Lily-Pilly," Roxy said. Since when did David have anxiety, she wondered. Sadie never mentioned anything, nor did Richie. Roxy frowned, saying, "Adults can get just as scared as kids sometimes. We just react differently." Then she asked, "How long has your dad had anxiety?" Roxy wanted to see how much Lily had actually noticed, whether she realized it or not.

"Since he was my age...he said 'that's what happens when you're the only Jew in town'," Lily recited from memory. "It got worse after Mommy died."

"I'm sure it did, honey," Roxy replied.

"BUT Momma Sadie has helped," Lily added, a little more cheerily. "Daddy loves her."

"And Sadie loves your Daddy very, very much, too," she replied. "Hey, you wanna surprise Uncle Richie when I ring him? You can say hi instead of me."

"Yeah!! I miss Unca Mookie!"

"Okay, let's do it," Roxy grinned and hit her fiance's name on her recent contact list and waited for the call to connect over the car speaker.

"Hey babe," Richie answered.

"Hiya Unca Mookie!" Lily called out with a giggle.

"Rox...have you been inhaling balloon gas or somethin'?" Richie said. "Your voice sounds really, really weird...and you usually call me Da-."

"Okay! That's enough from you," Roxy chuckled. "I got little ears in the back seat."

Richie laughed and choked slightly. "Lema told us as he ran out like a bat out of hell. Any update?"

"We're heading to the hospital now," Roxy replied. "Gabby's with Sadie, Colton's at his friend's place and I've got Lily-Pilly with me."

"Is that right?! Hey, squirt. Are you behaving for Rox?" Richie asked.

Lily giggled again. "I'm here assi-assissytant nurse!"

Roxy's phone screen lit up when a message from David came in. Just had car speed to the airport, boarding red eye to Newark, keep me updated please!

"Well, I'm glad you're there to take care of Roxy for me, darlin'," he responded. "Hey, Rox, are you gonna be okay, baby?"

"I will be," she sighed. "I'm too busy not to be, at the moment. I'd love one of your hugs right now though."

RING RING RING...the screen lit up with a photo of Sadie and Dave. He was trying to call.

"A normal hug," he asked, his voice dropping lower, "or one of those special hugs."

Roxy felt the shiver run down her spine. "Both, to be honest."

RING RING RING...the screen lit up again and the beeping insistent.

"I'll let you concentrate on driving, baby," Richie said. "You both take care, okay?! Give my love to Sadie and call me later, baby. I love you, Rox."

"Dave's blowing up my phone...Let me call him back...Love you too, babe," she replied, starting to feel the emotions finally starting to take hold as she hung up on her lover.

RING RING RING...she could feel the heat of Dave's anxiety taking hold and burning through the phone.

"David," Roxy said, answering his call finally.

"About time! Where are you? Where's Sadie? Are the kids okay?"

"They're fine. I've got everything under control," she replied, checking on Lily in the back seat. She had resumed staring off into the horizon. "I...um...I borrowed your car to get to the hospital. Gabby's with Sadie. I'm almost there."

"Which car? Only one has the carseat but I guess you could just move it just please don't tell me you took the Porsche," David rushed in one breath.

"I didn't have time to mess around with car seats," she interrupted. "I figured Sadie was more important than a seat or car for that matter."

"What's taking so long? The hospital isn't that far from the house--"

"Um, coz I'm trying to be careful with the precious cargo in the back seat," she retorted. "And I'm driving a freaking car that I've never driven before!"

"You're in my Porsche?!" he yelped.

"I dunno, David," she retorted. "It's big and black...I think."

"Jesus...But you're almost there, right?"

"Yes, just a couple of blocks to go now," Roxy said, peering out of the windows. "I can see it in the distance."

"Daddy, calm down," Lily called from the backseat. "I told her not to touch your Porsche cause it's your baby. We're in the Roycie."

"That's my girl," David chuckled, his breathing leveling out. "I should be home in about four hours. Sorry..."

Roxy softened her tone after remembering what Lily had told her. "Don't worry about it. Just have a safe flight and I'll see you when you get to the hospital."

"Rox?!"

"Yeah?"

"Look after her for me, won't you?!"

"Of course, hon," Roxy replied. "I love her just as much as you do."

"I wuv you, Daddy!" Lily cried out. "I got big hugs waiting!"

"See you soon, girls," David said and the call was disconnected just as Roxy pulled into the hospital car park at the emergency department. Roxy retrieved her purse and phone after killing the engine before stepping out into the cold night air. Opening the door to where Lily was seated, Roxy unbuckled the little girl and helped her jump from the car.

Roxy bent to make sure that Lily's coat was securely buttoned against the cold. "Now, Lil, Sadie might look a little scary if she's got wires and stuff on her but I promise you she's in the best hands. Remember how you helped me? That's what they're doing now for Sadie, okay?"

"Okay Auntie Roxy," Lily said with a nod

Roxy kissed the little girl's cheek and stood up, holding her hand out. "Let's go." Lily took the proffered hand and they walked into the hospital together. Roxy saw the reception desk and walked over.

"Can I help you?" the kindly nurse behind the screen asked.

"We're here to see Sadie-"

"Roxy!" Gabby's voice rang out. "This way," she said, with a wave of her hand.

Roxy smiled her thanks to the admitting nurse and followed Lily toward the older girl.

"I'm sorry," Gabby apologized, "I tried getting ahold of you. They just wheeled Sadie in for an emergency C-Section. Her blood sugar dropped again. I already texted Dad."

"Okay," Roxy said, thinking quickly. "Stay together, girls, while I speak with a doctor or nurse." Roxy reached into her purse and found her credentials as she stepped up to the nurses' station.

"Hi," she said, showing her LA hospital id. "My friend was just admitted, Sadie Aderman. Can I get an update on her condition, please?"

The nurse behind the computer looked up over her glasses and perked an eyebrow. She eyed Roxy's ID card and rolled her eyes, typing in something. "No one in the system with that name. Have a seat, Miss LA."

"Bryan, then, Sadie Bryan?" Roxy replied, closing her eyes against the rising frustration. "And I'll have you know that these may say LA but I've probably done more hours in these hospitals than you've had hot breakfasts."

"Sure you have, Blondie. Have a seat or I'll call security," the nurse snorted and smirked.

"Now listen here," Roxy was only just starting to wind up when a familiar voice called her name.

"Roxy?!"

She spun around and deflated just a little. Of course it had to be the one and only person working there tonight that she didn't want to see. Damon Fyfe. An ex-boyfriend who just happened to be a resident ED doctor.

"Roxanne fucking Walsh...as I live and breathe."

"Damon," Roxy smiled, gritting her teeth until they ached. "So good to see you again," she said, trying to avoid his kisses on her cheeks.

He'd always been one of the ones that thought that just because she used to work as an escort, it gave him carte blanche to her body at all times. Like right now as his arm slipped around her waist and pulled her a little too close for her liking. Her eyes popped open when his hand slipped down a little too low, resting on the top of her ass. With a tight smile, Roxy placed her hands on his chest and pushed him back enough to get his hands off her.

"Aww c'mon, don't be like that, Rox," Damon chuckled. "You're still...tight and fit."

"Well...thanks, I guess," she looked uncomfortably at the nurse that was watching with interest. "You look...the same, too. Er...could you help me out here?"

Damon leaned onto the nurse's station counter and flashed a smile at the nurse. "Anything I can help with, Yvonne?"

The nurse, Yvonne, sat up a little straighter and adjusted her hairband. "Oh...Dr Fyfe...No no, this woman was just looking for a nonexistent patient. I was about to have her escorted out for causing such a disruption."

"I don't think that will be necessary, Yvonne," Damon said. "Roxy is very good at escorting anyway. Ain't that right, dollface? What's the name of the patient you're looking for, sweetstuff?"

Roxy forced a smile on her face. "My friend Sadie..."

"Oh...she's here too? I swear you two beauties are inseparable," he purred. Damon's eyes drank in every delicate inch of Roxy. He sauntered behind the counter and peered down at the computer and even down Yvonne's uniform. "She's listed as a private patient. Being admitted on Floor 4, labor and delivery. Room 409. But currently she's in the operating room for a C-Section. For one little kiss, I'll walk to the O.R myself for her current status."

Roxy let out a mirthless chuckle, her mouth twisted and held up her left hand. "I don't think my fiance would like me giving out kisses for free these days," she said and took great delight in the astonished looks over the size of her engagement ring. "Also, I'm in charge of two children at the moment who happen to be over there," Roxy turned and pointed to Gabby and Lily, "watching every single thing we do here."

Damon glanced over to Gabby who was waving lamely his way. He waved back awkwardly. "Who are you kidding, Rox? Your kisses were never free. Neither were Sade's."

"True...," Roxy shrugged. "But it's called value for money, Damon. You got what you paid for. And if you think I'm going to react to your dig about Sadie, then you've got another thing coming. Which, if I remember correctly, would be the only thing cumming for you."

"You always were a bitch, Roxanne," Damon sneered. "Hope the poor sucker you conned into giving you that ring knows about your past. I'd be more than willing to inform him, if you like?"

"Again, Damon, making assumptions," Roxy grinned like a maniac, backing up towards the girls. She held out her arms and laughed, "How do you think I met him!?" She cackled and wrapped her arms around Gabby and Lily. "Don't bother with the OR escort, baby, I can handle it myself."
