(a/n - p.s • don't ask me what the storyline is because I haven't a clue. forewarning, this is terrible.)

Jungkook bowed before his new classmates, palms sweaty. He tugged at the sleeves of his black cloak nervously.
He had been placed in gryffindor during the middle of fourth year. It was rare, being that most muggle born children were given the opportunity and choice as first years. Everyone already had friends and were more advanced in spells and potions. Fortunately he was offered tutoring sessions over the past summer, giving him the chance to at least know basics. It would mean he would have to put in that much extra effort but he is determined. Professor Dumbledore had talked to him and explained. It had been a shock to both him and his parents but after proof they began to believe and adjust.

He was told to sit beside a Kim Taehyung. A fellow gryffindor who he would share a dorm and common room with. The older male had taken him under his wing immediately. A bright smile and warmth surrounding him. Taehyung showed him around and explained the different room functions. It was on their journey he had been introduced to Park Jimin. Also a fourth year but a Hufflepuff. A pure blood at that. A lot of the pure bloods were known to be hostile and disliked muggle born wizards/witches. However some like Jimin were open and kind. He instantly began to make him feel comfortable. He told him how he and Taehyung grew up together. He would introduce him to the rest of the group later at lunch in the dining hall.

Lunchtime rolled around quickly. Taehyung dragging him to the dining hall, grabbing Jimin along the way. They grabbed food opting to sit outside while the sun would still be shining. A taller male wearing blue robes approached them with another tall male but with yellow robes. They were both discussing something. The one wearing yellow robes noticed the newcomer. He tilted his head, "Oh well who do we have here?" Jimin introduced them, "Hyungs this is Jungkook. He's new. He's in the same year and house as Tae. Jungkookie this is Namjoon, the smartest being you'll ever meet and Seokjin, he makes the best food and is kind of like a mom. Oh and Jungkook is the new baby of the group." Jin smiled at him, "Ah I see. Well welcome to Hogwarts. If you need any help just ask." Jungkook nodded shyly. Taehyung whispered to him, "If Jin is the mom, Namjoon is the dad. He's the most level headed and responsible. That and they're made for each other." Jungkook let out a soft giggle. Another male whose smile resembled the sun with yellow robes bounced over dragging a black haired male with green robes. He plopped himself beside Taehyung, "Hey guys. Took a little longer than usual cause grumpy here was too lazy to move." The black haired male hit the back of the others head, "Brat! It's not my fault Hoseok here kept getting distracted by everything." Hoseok grinned cheekily, "You love me really."
He too noticed Jungkook, "Oh hello!" He smiled at him making the younger blush, "and who is this new cutie." Taehyung threw an arm around him, "Hobi hyung meet Jungkook, or Kookie. He's new and shares a dorm with me. Jungkook meet Hoseok. Captain of Hufflepuffs quidditch team. Oh and Yoongi. He likes to sleep a lot so don't disturb him. His bark and bite are equally terrifying." Yoongi frowned at him, "So kid what's your story. If you were a pure blood you would have been here in first year. So that either makes you a half blood or a mudblood." Jin nudged him, "Yoongi!" Jungkook looked at Taehyung uncertain, "Hyung w-what's a mudblood?" Yoongi sneered, "I believe I just got my answer. Now I'm going to make this easy. Either he leaves or I do." Jimin frowned, "You can't be serious hyung." Yoongi smirked, "I made an exception for your friend Taehyung tolerating him because he's a half blood. That and your parents are good friends with mine. However a muggle born, hah! You'd think I'd actually waste my time. He didn't even know what magic was until last year, you did say he only transferred in this year."
Jungkook watched as the others looked at Yoongi with disbelief. He knew immediately that Yoongi is also a pure blood. He didn't take it to heart, or well he didn't let it show. He had grown up around people that for some reason never liked him or tried to. He had grown up with stuffed teddies and a butler as his closest friends. He rarely saw his parents and well the other kids didn't like him because his parents are rich, so they believed he was fake. As much as he loved being friends with Taehyung and Jimin, he wouldn't make them choose. He would always be grateful to Taehyung for welcoming him without question. He stood up catching the tables attention. He bowed, "I'll uh see you guys around. It was nice meeting you all. I'll see you in class Tae." He grabbed his bag and went to the one place he felt most comfortable, the library.
Taehyung looked from Jungkook's form to the others. Coming to a decision he stood up about to follow the younger. Hoseok frowned, "Tae where are you going?" Taehyung shrugged, "Yoongi wants us to chose. Why would I sit with someone that just tolerates me. I'll see you guys later." He squeezed Jimin's shoulder as a sign that he wasn't mad at all of them, just Yoongi. He followed after the new member. Jimin pushed his food away, "I'm not hungry anymore. I think I might head to class." Hoseok and Jin opted to join being that they all were headed the same way. Namjoon stayed raising an eyebrow at Yoongi. Yoongi sighed, "Oh shut up. Stop giving me that look." Namjoon shook his head continuing to eat his food.

Taehyung found Jungkook in the corner of the library, practically hidden. He watched the younger sketch. Taehyung wasn't in artistic but he did have an appreciation for art. Moving closer he glanced to see Jungkook drawing the outline of a butterfly, "Wow. You're really good Kook." At Taehyung's voice he jumped snapping the sketchbook shut. He looked up Taehyung letting out a small sigh, "Hyung! You scared me." Taehyung chuckled, "Sorry. So unfortunately we have potions next. Professor Snape despises me, mostly because I get distracted easily and I am terrible at potions in general. He might like you being you're good at it, I will warn you though he tends to favour Slytherin. Basically don't take anything negative he says to heart."
Jungkook nodded and smiled a little, "Okay hyung."

Taehyung had come to the conclusion that Jungkook is smart, he learned things quickly. Sometimes Taehyung thought that Jungkook could in fact be a ravenclaw. He had many talents too, such as singing, playing guitar, drumming photography and of course art. He also noticed how shy the younger actual is. He rarely began conversations and when he did he would do so with a blush accompanied with a stutter. He found it cute whenever he would be the one to start conversations. Taehyung wasn't stupid, it was obvious Jungkook didn't have many friends maybe even none, so he admired how he put effort into their friendship, asking Jimin and him questions about themselves. He did miss sitting with everyone at lunch but he knew things might not be the same and he refused to leave Jungkook alone. Hoseok had also grown to adore their new friend. Even going as far as teaching him about quidditch, giving advice and pointers if Jungkook ever felt curious enough to try out. Jin often sat with them bringing lunch to them and checking in. He fussed over the three maknaes frequently.
Jungkook liked this, the feeling of friendship. Taehyung didn't rush him or force him to do anything. He had been patient and kind, Jimin too. He had grown to love his two friends. It still saddened him when thinking about not being able to sit with the others. Especially since he felt responsible for the group separating. He also had begun to watch Yoongi more. Sometime about the Slytherin male drew him in. His pale skin and black hair adding the almost unreadable expressions made him look ethereal. He wasn't going to lie he had taken a couple of secret photos with his camera. Now here he was watching the older from behind a tree. He sat leaned against it, sketchbook leaning on his knees and pencils spread out beside him. Earphones blaring into his ears. He would look up every now and again before looking back to his drawing. Adding new details each time. He was so emerged in his drawing that he hadn't realised he had been noticed. By both the 95 line and his four hyungs. Taehyung and Jimin had already been walking towards him whereas Hoseok had been the one to point out that Jungkook kept looking at Yoongi. This caused Namjoon and Jin to observe as well. Yoongi scowled and began to stride towards Jungkook, who is unaware of the storm heading his direction. He picked up another pencil, brown for his eyes.
Taehyung hit Jimin motioning towards Yoongi heading for Jungkook. They looked at each other before increasing their pace. Yoongi however reached the younger before them. Yoongi frowned before deciding on tipping the sketchbook from Jungkook's lap causing it to fall from his lap onto the grass. Jungkook's head snapped up looking at Yoongi. His eyes widened a fraction, "H-Hyung? Is um everything o-okay?" Yoongi scoffed, "What, you thought I wouldn't notice you staring. And what's this?" He grabbed the sketchbook from the grass scoffing, "Would you look at that. He has been drawing me. You shouldn't waste your time with stupid shit like this, I mean it would be different if you could actually draw but well." Taehyung stepped forward, "Leave him alone Yoongi. He draws so what. You must be blind because he's very talented." Yoongi raised an eyebrow, "Seems Taehyung here has grown a backbone." He flipped through the book clicking his tongue, "Tasteless. Are all mudbloods like this?" He put emphasis on the mudblood part. He stood up still holding the sketchbook, "Don't worry I'll fix this problem." He walked a few centimetres away dropping the book into a bin. Jungkook holding his breath. He didn't want to start anything, especially since Yoongi is definitely more advanced than him. He could wait and get it when they left. However Yoongi seemed to read his mind. He reached over the table behind him holding out a full yoghurt carton. Smirking he poured it on top of the book, ruining it's contents. With that he walked away. Namjoon gave him an apologetic look, "I'll talk to him." Taehyung watched as Jungkook took he notebook from the bin examining it. The yoghurt had seeped into every page, every drawing. He stepped forward, "Kookie?" Jungkook finally met his gaze and Taehyung froze. Jungkook had tears in his eyes. He dropped the sketchbook back in the bin and bowed before hurrying away. Taehyung had enough. Yoongi didn't get to do this. It wasn't right. He knew that the book meant a lot to the younger. Like his own personal diary. There were picture in their that showed his feeling from when he was younger to now. Jungkook had told him about his parents, how he had been practically invisible to them. Drawing had been his escape from them, when he felt alone or when he needed to get his feeling out from being bullied. Taehyung looked at Jimin, "Chim will you see if you can do anything about the sketchbook. I need to have a talk with Yoongi give hyung." Before the other could reply he sped away, in the same direction as Yoongi and Namjoon. The always went to the roof so that is where he would look first.
Taehyung reached the roof in quick time. From where he stood he couldn't hear Namjoon arguing with Yoongi. Spotting him Namjoon stopped talking gaining Yoongi's attention. Yoongi turning also saw him. He huffed, "Great and what do you want?" Taehyung didn't say anything, just moving forwards. He drew his arm back and landed a right hook onto Yoongi's jaw. Yoongi made a growl like sound pushing him back. Taehyung stumbled a little before looking directly at his hyung, "That was for Jungkook. I'm sick of your shit Yoongi. He has done nothing to you and you ruined one of the only good thing he has. Something that means a lot to him. Here's a bit of advice hyung, grow the fuck up before you lose everyone who cares for you. Stop being someone you're not and live life for yourself." Taehyung huffed before turning and going back down the stairs. Namjoon shrugged at Yoongi, "Before you ask no I didn't say anything. Tae is smarter than he lets on. He's right you know. Yoongi I'm with you all the way but for yourself stop ruining your life for them. They're not worth it."

Taehyung had found the younger huddled on his bed in their room. Taehyung sat beside him taking his hand, "Kookie?" Jungkook looked up tears trailing down his cheeks. He let out a small sound that was between a sob and a gasp, "Why does he hate me so much? I'm so pathetic aren't I? Stupid to cry over a sketchbook. It's just-" Jungkook hid his face in his hands. Taehyung wrapped his arms around him, "Just what Kook? You can tell me. I'm here for you." Jungkook sniffled, "My parents. They were never there. I was alone everyday. I could never tell them how much I was hurting. Then at school, I was people personally punching bag. I couldn't go anywhere without people insulting me. Art had been the one thing that kept me afloat, I would pour my feeling into my work. A-And it's so stupid. I still can't hate him. Why am I like this. How can I find someone who hates me so much, so beautiful." Taehyung patted the younger's head, "It's not stupid Jungkook. Art is a part of you and you're damn well good at it. Honestly I don't think you have it in you to hate someone. With finding him beautiful, maybe you see something in him that the rest of us don't." Jungkook thought about it. He knew what it was. Yoongi's eyes. Looking into Yoongi's eyes, there had been so much emotion. Fear. Regret and guilt included.
He wiped his eyes, "Thanks TaeTae. For everything." Taehyung smiled at the other in understanding, "My pleasure Kookie. Now come on, you haven't eaten yet and you need to. It's not good to skip meals."

Jungkook sat between Jimin and Taehyung. Hoseok and Jin sat opposite them. They were talking about the different magical creatures that Jungkook had not known of. Anyone could see he was fascinated by the magic world. Hogwarts had opened up a whole new world to him, it felt like home. A real home. They were interupted by Namjoon and Yoongi walking towards their table. He could feel Taehyung tense up beside him. He didn't miss the bruise that had formed on Yoongi's chin and he raised an eyebrow at Taehyung. Now he knew why Tae had bruised knuckles. He would ask him about that later in their room. Yoongi looked straight at Jungkook, "Can I talk to you alone for a moment." Jungkook hesitated. After all it had been clear Yoongi isn't his biggest fan. Yoongi let out a small sigh,"Please?" Jungkook nodded and stood up. Taehyung glared at the syltherin, "Hurt him in any way and I won't hesitate to punch you again..hyung." Yoongi nodded at him and turned making his way to a secluded part of the hall. Jungkook smiled at the group before following. He fiddled with the hems of his robes as he stood before the older. Waiting. Yoongi rummaged in his bag and held something out. Looking up Jungkook's eyes widened. Yoongi held out his sketchbook, but it looked like it had before it was destroyed. Yoongi scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, "I used the tergeo spell. It cleans up messes. Look Jungkook, I'm sorry. For everything. For being unnecessarily mean and spiteful to you and for ruining something that has value to you." Jungkook stared at him for a few seconds, "Thank you and all is forgiven. Hyung may I speak openly?" Yoongi motioned for him to go ahead. Jungkook took a nervous deep breath, "I'm glad that yore starting to be yourself, and not what others want you to act like. I'm glad that I get to see you live life for yourself." With that he went back to their group of friends. He paused before actually leaving, "Hyung you can join us if you want. Tae will warm up to you again. He's just hurt. I think you should apologise to him too." Yoongi nodded. He followed behind the younger quietly. They all sat at the same table, the awkward tension rising. Before anyone could comment the bell rang for their next classes.

The weekend couldn't come soon enough. He could relax for two days. The others had all gone to Hogsmeade whereas Jungkook opted to stay in the school building. His plan to get one or two books from the library and bring them to his room. Then he would make some hot chocolate and loose himself in another world. Scanning the shelves he paused recognising Yoongi. The slytherin was at a table alone surrounded by books about magical creatures. Too busy staring at the older he hadn't realised the edge of the table was in front of him and ended up walking into it making a loud thud noise. Yoongi becoming distracted looked up and they locked gazes. Jungkook smiled nervously, "H-Hi hyung." Yoongi raised his eyebrows, "I thought you'd be a Hogsmeade with the he others." Jungkook shrugged, "I decided it's the perfect time to catch up on some reading. What about you hyung?" Yoongi dropped his pencil and stretched his arms, "Honestly I'm attempting to learn about the care of magical creatures. Not too good at that class so." Jungkook fiddled with his thumbs, "Ah. I get what you mean. I'm not too advance at potions." Yoongi watched him for a few moments, lost in thought. He made an 'aha' sound. Yoongi leaned forwards, "What about if we helped each other out. You're good with animals. Hoseok's mentioned it a few times. You help me be better around animals and I'll help you with potions." Jungkook thought about it. It sounded like a good option. He knew that potions is in fact one of Yoongi's best subjects so why not. He looked up at Yoongi nodding, "That sounds like a great idea."

So it began. Study sessions. Taehyung had been wary at first but softened up when Yoongi apologised. He was still not quite forgiven as Tae hadn't been certain what caused the sudden change. Jungkook sat at a table near the back of the library. So they could discuss things without being disturbed. Books were spread out in front of them. Today it was Jungkook helping Yoongi. He was explaining different creatures. "A Thestral is a breed of winged horses with a skeletal body, face with reptilian features, and wide, leathery wings that resemble a bat's. They are very rare and considered dangerous. They are undeservedly, known as omens of misfortune and aggression by many wizards because they are visible only to those who have witnessed death." Yoongi took small notes to everything that Jungkook explained. During the explanation of knarls and how to identify them among hedgehogs Yoongi had found himself lost in thought. Staring at the younger. Jungkook noticing let his sentence trail off. He tilted his head in confusion. Yoongi met his gaze,,"My parents." Jungkook understanding the meaning closed the book giving Yoongi his full attention. Yoongi continued moving his gaze to outside the window, "My parents are pure bloods of course. They pride themselves on it. Image is the top importance. Everything had to be perfect. Me included. When they found out my sexuality there was uproar. They would disown me if I didn't do what they said. I had nowhere else to go, at least in my head I didn't. So I listened. Guess eventually I started to believe my own act. Now I've lost all my friends except Namjoon. I'm trying to make it right, I've also moved in with Namjoon for when school is finished. It's not much and won't make up for everything but it's a start, I hope."  Jungkook took a deep breath reaching out and taking Yoongi's hand surprising both of them. His voice gentle, "Hyung I believe in you. You haven't lost all your friends." Yoongi shook his head, "Maybe but it's awkward and Taehyung. I can't even, he won't even look at me. He hates me now." Jungkook squeezed the older's hand, "He's hurt. What you said hurt his feelings. So fix it, apologise and earn back his friendship or trust. He doesn't hate you hyung. I'll help you." Yoongi couldn't help but smile. Jungkook eyes widened. He had never seen Yoongi smile. He wanted to see him smile more often. Even better that it was his doing. So he would do everything he could to see it.
Yoongi may look like he didn't care or take notice but he did. So he didn't miss the blush on the younger's cheeks. His hand soft in his own. How was it possible for someone to have such soft hands. Yoongi also knew that he is gaining feelings for the younger. He wasn't sure yet if it was friendship or more just quite yet.

The six of them sat around the usual table outside. Jungkook could see Yoongi making his way towards him. His facial expressions showing no emotion but looking at his eyes you could see he is nervous. He was hesitant. The other noticed him as well. Jungkook stood up and made his way over, "Yoongi hyung! I got higher marks in potions thanks to your help." Yoongi reaching out ruffling Jungkook's hair, "I'm proud of you Kook." Taehyung looked between them eyes wide, "What the- when did you two become close." Jungkook smiled shyly, "Well hyung apokogised and fixed my sketchbook so it isn't ruined anymore. Also I've been helping him with care of magical creatures and in return he's helping me with potions." Jungkook noticed Taehyung staring at them both. Jungkook nudged Yoongi whispering so only he could hear, "Talk to him. Now is the time." So he did. Yoongi and Taehyung went off on their own. Hoseok turned to Jungkook, "What are you? You're like this cute little miracle worker." Jimin chuckled, "That and I think Yoongi has a weakness. Whenever Jungkook smiles he looks like his having an internal battle with himself." As he finished his sentence Yoongi and Tae returned. They didn't say anything. However he saw the wink Taehyung gave him and the happy glint in Yoongi's eyes. They had sorted this out it seemed.

Jungkook walked through the hallways taking everything in. He would miss it. The feeling of belonging. The year had gone by so quickly and he couldn't wait until summer is over to come back. Things had returned to normal. Or well, things got better. They all opened up and just enjoyed each other's company. After Taehyung, Yoongi had become the second person he's closest with. They spent so much time together with the studying and afterwards it was inevitable. So much so that Jungkook developed a crush. He had gotten to know the older more and well things happen. Things hadn't been all happy. It is Jin's final year after all. However they would be spending the summer at one of his summer houses. All of them. Jungkook had been anxious of his parents answers but they had just agreed before hanging up. He wasn't surprised to be honest. He was jerked out of his thoughts at a familiar deep and raspy voice, "Kook?" He turned to see Yoongi with an amused smile on his lips, "I've been calling you for over five minutes. What you thinking so hard about?" Jungkook moved so he's facing the older, "Just that I'll miss it. I suppose the three months will fly past though." Yoongi groaned, "I swear. I don't know if I can handle the three sunshine in the same house. I will actually murder them if the so much as disturb me while sleeping." Jungkook giggled making Yoongi smile. Yoongi stopped walking frowning all of a sudden. Jungkook turned facing him, head tilted in confusion, "Hyung?" Yoongi let out a sigh, "Listen Jungkook. I've been thinking over it for some time now. I-I dont want to be friends." Jungkook's eyes widened, "W-What do you mean? Did I do some-" Yoongi placed a hand over his mouth cutting him off, "Firstly you didn't do anything. Second, ok oh gosh I'm bad at this. Jungkook do you know how wonderful you are. If it wasn't for you I would never have had the courage to  fix things. You stood by me even when I hurt you. It was so easy to be myself around you. Still is. Somewhere along the lines I started to like you, more than a friend. I told myself not to think about it. I don't even know if you like guys. Pushed it away. I was lucky enough to have you by my side as a friend. But then you kept giving me these smiles and the sparkly eyes. The blushing around me." Jungkook stared at him eyes wide, Hyung?" Yoongi looked at him unsure of what would happen, "Y-Yeah?" Jungkook gave him a wide smile, "Shut up and kiss me." Yoongi whacked the top of his head gently, "Brat!" Before he could tell him to shut up again Yoongi placed one arm around Jungkook's waist pulling him closer and leaned in connecting their lips. They kissed for a moment before  Yoongi mumbled against Jungkook's lips, "Why is everything about you so soft?" Jungkook giggled and being that they were still pressed together it vibrated through both of them. Yoongi gave him another quick kiss, "cute."
A deep voice made them both jump, "Are you done? Ready to leave?" Jungkook whined, "Tae!" Taehyung shrugged, "What? We all saw this coming except you two. Now come on Jimin owes me their for being right." Jungkook was about to retaliate but got distracted when Yoongi interlocked their fingers. He looked down at their hands in an almost daze. Yoongi chuckled, "Come on before the whole world knows."
