Shikamarus pov

"you distroyed ikitaku ramins!" naruto yelled in utter horror. He was so loud that I had to cover my ear! Why dose that idiot have to be so troublesome over one restaurant "but it was the best restaurant in the world! How could you shikamaru!?"

"Well obviously I didn't do it on perpose" I rolled my eyes "when that hyuga clan guy started causing trouble we had no choice but to fight. We didn't expect things to get so messy.."

*flashback*

"alright let's teach this basturd a lesson!" I sent out my shadow possession jitsu, making him unable to move.

I nodded to sakura and she ran towards him, her fist charging up for an attack. With that much power she could probably take his head off. After what he said about hinata I wouldn't be surprised if that was what she was going for!

She was about to punch him when I was suddenly hit by another hyuga! I lost control of the shadow jitsu and he dodged out of the way, sending sakura into a table.

Several hyugas appeared out of nowhere "we're here my lord" they bowed respectively "do you require our assistance"

"yes" he nodded "get rid of those pests and retrieve what belongs to the hyuga clan" with that he left. I guess me and sakura ended up scaring him after all!

"ahh" we turned around to see that two members of the hyuga clan had grabbed neji and hinata! I used my strangulation jitsu to choke the basturds out.

They were both let go unharmed but the fright was enough to make hinata burst into tears. Sakura watched her girlfriend cry as she clenched her fist in anger.

"that's it! I'm ending this now!"

*end of flashback*

"and after sakura punched a hole in the floor the entire building collapsed" I explained "it was an effective way to end the fight but not ikitaku ramins is closed for repairs"

"aww how am I going to last without ikitaku ramins" naruto whined.

"don't worry naruto" sasuke petted the boys hair "I was saving this for your birthday but I got you a years supply of ramin. I figure that will last you until ikitakus place opens up"

"really?" narutos eyes lit up "oh sasuke your the best boyfriend ever!" he hugged him tightly as sasukes face turned red.

"why didn't you give us that ramin when we were starving to death?" sai asked.

"because my boyfriends happiness is more important" sasuke replied.

"oh forget about that!" kiba yelled "is it really true that those jerks went after hinata?"

"I'm afraid so" sakura sighed.

"argh screw those guys!" kiba slammed his hands on the table "I say we take them out right now"

"don't be a fool kiba" I growled "there are thousands of members in the hyuga clan. Even if we were able to take them out it wouldn't be without some sacrifice. Are you willing to sacrifice the lives of the people in this room?"

"I- no I'm not" he sighed.

I patted the boy on the shoulder "there's no need to panic. All we got to do is play things safe"

"yeah your probably right" he smiled weakly at me.

Silence hung in the air. I suppose everyone was just deep in thought. I couldn't blame them. The people responsible for our parents deaths are active again. There's alot to think about!

I overheard a conversation between hinata and neji..

"neji about before. I'm sorry about what I've said. I suppose I've been so overprotective cause I feel guilty about leaving you behind"

"hinata there no reason to feel guilty" neji insisted "they were putting you under so much pressure. You had to get out of there or else you'd break!"

"oh neji" she pulled him into a tearful hug "your so understanding. It almost makes it worse! Still after seeing the way shikamaru protected you at the risk of his own life I have no doubt he's the right one for you. I'm happy for you nii-chan!" she walked away.

She gave me a silent nod as she walked past me. I felt a smile spread across my face. I guess today wasn't a complete screw up!
