"Umm can I get a pregnancy test?"

Sakura nearly jumped out of her skin at my words. I knew I was probably being silly but hearing that shikamaru wasn't wearing protection has left me worried. I just wanted to make sure.

"neji why do you think you're pregnant hon?" sakura asked gently "are you feeling unwell"

"Well actually" gosh I'm going to get him into so much trouble! "shikamaru helped me with my heat yesterday without protection so I'm feeling a little worried"

"ahh that reckless idiot!" sakura yelled "I swear if he's gotten you pregnant I am going to kill him!" she gently took my hand "now come on. Let's get you tested out"

*time skip*

"Well the test results have come back and I'm afraid their positive" sakura sighed.

I stared at her in shock. I'm really pregnant. I knew I probably should have expected this but it's still so overwhelming.

"that reckless fool!" sakura ranted angrily "I can't believe he did this to you. Especially since you've only been dating for six months!"

"please don't be upset sakura" I tried to calm her down "I'm sure he didn't mean to"

She sighed as she sat opposite me "how are you handling this? You can be honest with me you know"

I took a deep breath "I feel a little scared but also excited. I've always wanted to be a mom. My dad was amazing with me when I was little. I've always wanted to be just like him"I rubbed my stomach with a gentle smile.

"that's lovely neji" sakura rubbed my shoulders "but are you sure you feel ready for this?"

"I am" I nodded "though I am worried about how shikamaru will react"

"oh neji he loves you. He wouldn't leave you over this" sakura said reassuringly "but you do have to tell him hon. You can't go through this alone"

"you're right" I nodded, feeling a little better thanks to her words "I'm going to tell shikamaru!"
