Borutos pov

"come on Misuki you're going to love it here" I said as I excitedly dragged my boyfriend Misuki to my house. You see I told my mom about Misuki and he said he'd love to meet him over dinner. Dad said he'd even be there. I can't wait for Misuki to meet everyone!

"slow down love. I can't move as fast as you can" Misuki said gently.

"oh sorry" I chuckled nervously "I'm just excited. I can't wait for you to meet my family"

"I'm excited too" he kissed my forehead gently "but let's go at a slower pace. Ok?"

"ok" I sighed as we walked to the house hand in hand.

Once we got home I threw open the doors "guys we're home!" I yelled at the top of my voice.

"bout time you got home kiddo. We were starting to worry" saruto came out to see me.

"it's not my fault. Misukis the one that made us walk" I pouted.

"then he sounds like a very sensible guy" saruto turned to him "you must be the Misuki I've heard so much about. I expect you to treat my little brother well"

"I intend to sir" he bowed politely.

"hey saruto is dad here yet?" I was bouncing about in excitement. I haven't seen dad in ages!

"sorry buddy. Dad couldn't make it" he sighed "he was just too busy"

"oh" I hung my head in disappointment.

"but mom's here" saruto said quickly "come on let's go say hi!" he grabbed us by the arms and dragged us inside.

Waiting there was mom setting out the dinner plates.

"mom you made it!" I ran up and hugged him.

"of course" mom grinned as he ruffled my hair "I couldn't miss out on meeting that guy who stole my little boys heart. Now take a seat. I've made your favourite!"

*time skip*

"Misuki you seem like a lovely boy" mom smiled at him "now why don't you tell me about your parents? I'd love to meet them"

"uhh-"

Misuki was cut off by mom's phone ringing.

"hello" mom listened for a second before his face turned grave "I understand. I'll be right here" he hung up the phone "I'm sorry kids but I'll have to leave early"

I couldn't take it anymore. I ran off in tears. My mom and big brother called out to me but I didn't listen. I ran outside and burst into tears.

"boruto" I jumped at the soft spoken voice. I looked up to see the worried look of Misuki.

"oh Misuki" I ran into his arms crying "I just wanted a nice day with my family but mom had to leave early and dad didn't even bother to show up! Their never there!"

"shh I know my darling" he gently rocked me in his arms "but you have nothing to fear. No matter what I will never leave your side"

"that dose make me feel better" I wiped my tears away "thank you Misuki"

"anytime my love" he kissed my forehead.

I lay against his shoulder with a sigh. At least someone will never leave my side.
