Sasikos pov

Seven years later

"sasiko wake up!"

I awoke to my mother opening the curtains, sending the harsh light into my tired eyes. I rubbed them in annoyance.

"I can't believe you're not already awake" mom shook his head at me "I'd expect this from kimari and maybe neku but not you sasiko"

"sorry mom" I yawned "I was up half the night studying. I just really need to pass this exam"

"oh honey" mom pulled me into a hug "you will. You're such an intelligent young lady. You'll have no problem aceing this exam. Now stop stressing yourself and come downstairs" he gave me a kiss on the forehead before leaving the room.

I got up, put on my signature red dress and brushed my hair. I took a look at myself to make sure I looked ok. Satisfied with the way I looked I headed downstairs.

I walked into the kitchen only to be greeted by the usual chaos. Neku was running around the table, kimari had her feet up on the table, dad was reading the newspaper and mom was about to lose his mind.

"kimari get your feet off the table!" mom yelled.

"aww can I keep them on if I take my shoes off" kimari asked.

"no you absolutely cannot!" mom said firmly "shikamaru help me out here"

"do what you're mother says kimari" dad said without even looking up from the paper.

"wow you're a real team player here" mom rolled his eyes "can you as least wish your daughter good luck today. She's doing her final exam today"

"of course" he put the paper down and walked up to me "I'm not going to wish you good luck kiddo cause you won't need it! With brains like yours you'll ace this no problem"

"thanks dad" I nodded gratefully.

"good luck sissy" neku hugged me "I'm going to pray to the hokage shrine to make sure my big sister becomes a ninja!"

"that's so sweet neku" I hugged him close. He truly is a kind little boy.

"yeah you got this sis" kimari gave me a thumbs up.

"kimari get your feet off the table!"

"alright mom I'll do it!"

I giggled to myself. My family's so supportive. I'm very lucky to have them.

"I must get going now. Goodbye everyone" I bowed before leaving.

"but what about breakfast" mom yelled after me.

"I'll eat later" I said as I headed out the door. No time to waste. I'm late enough as it is!

"hey I see I'm not the only one who late" I looked up to see sarutos grinning face.

"did you sleep in again?" I rolled my eyes. Ever since we started the academy sarutos been late for class cause he enjoys his bed too much!

"yeah" he chuckled awkwardly "I'm surprised you were late too sasiko. Your usually the first one there"

I sighed ""I was up half the night studying. I just really need to pass this exam. I don't want to be left behind"

"too right!" saruto grinned "let's pass this exam and become shinobi together"

"right" I nodded as I fistbumped him.

We arrived at the academy grounds. Our other friend hu-mon Lee was already there stretching. He noticed us and marched over to us.

"what do you two think your doing" hu-mon folded his arms "how could you be late on the day of the exam"

"sorry dude I slept in again" saruto chuckled awkwardly.

"honestly saruto I worry that you may not even pass the exam" hu-mon shook his hand.

"hell no. I'm not redoing the exam like mom did!" saruto yelled.

I shook my head at them. Boys!

"alright everyone get ready for the exams" our sensai called out.

hu-mon turned to us with a nervous smile "let's do our very best and pass together friends"

"right" we nodded as we turned to the forest. Its time.
