Kimaris pov

I followed after my father nervously. Dad can be pretty strict when he wants to be. If he's angry at me then I'm in trouble!

"listen dad before you say anything it was borutos choice to stay back. I'm not his babysitter so you can't get angry with-"

"whoe slow down kiddo" he turned to me with a smile "I'm not angry with you"

"if you're not angry with me then why were you making that scary face" I yelled.

"oh that. Sorry honey I just had a long day" he said apologetically. I sighed. Man what a drag.

"now" he lay down on the grass "won't you join me for some cloud watching"

"you brought me out here for some cloud watching?" I asked as I lay down next to him.

"of course" he nodded "me and your mother have noticed that you have been stressing a bit about going back to the academy. I figured a little cloud watching could ease your mind"

"I don't know dad" I sighed "I've only got one year left in the academy. After that I'm going to be stuck as a shinobi with responsibilities and junk. I don't think a little cloud watching is going to get rid of that!"

Dad turned to me with a smile "you know something kimari I used to be just like that"

"really?" I muttered in surprise. I mean dad's got tons of responsibility now!

"yep" he nodded "I used to be afraid that once I became a shinobi my life would end. That's why I never tried very hard at school but you know something? Having responsibility isn't always a bad thing. You can feel a sense of pride in looking after the people you love. Plus it doesn't mean you can never have fun again. It just means that you have to learn to balance things better. You get me?" he winked at me.

"yeah I do" I nodded greatfully "thanks dad"

"no problem honey" he ruffled my hair "now let's get you home. Your mother's going to freak if we're late for dinner"

I nodded with a small giggled. I guess I don't have anything to worry about after all. Except mom's wrath of course!
