Big Catch

-

As my body collides in the dashing mirrors of the sea;
Hoping to see the big glamorous fish;
Regardless of the fact that I might encounter a shark instead of a fish.

How I wish it's a good looking shark with no teeth.

As I started my pace; the playful water has ways to drag me away from the relaxing shore.

I might say the sea is smart because it knows I already miss the shore when I touched the water.

'There's no turning back' I reminded myself;
When I can't see the glimpse of the warm shore anymore.
'Yeah, there's no going back.'

As I continue to explore unfamiliar water;
Unsure of anything but only determined to see the glamorous fish.

But the tides are starting to turn;
The sea is starting to show her true colors,
As she hears my doubtful hearts through my glass mirrors.

Giant waves emerge from nowhere;

Cold air warns my whole being,

And dark sky says, no eyes are watching;

Fear starts to eat me.

As the massive and sharp waves rant my fragile body;

Pushing me, burying my shaking being under the cold and unforgivable depths of the sea;

Neither my hands nor my feet were stable anymore,

As the bubbles of hopes start to burst, together with my voice.

Merciless sea shows her rampage for the unknown intruder;

Unspoken words of why's and regrets starts to linger;

As death introduces his presence in the coat of silence.

I shout for help, but no words came out;
I moved, but my arms and legs are already frozen;
I think the end is near when my eyes get tired of watching.

Why I even bothered to see the glamorous fish, only to face the wrath of the sea?
Why I deluded myself that I could possess the big catch, yet here I am at the bottom of the cold sea;
Looking helpless, and waiting for the boatman to fetch me.

But before my eyes close itself and lungs start to give in;
a mysterious hand tapped my shoulder, Dragged me away from my world of misery.

'Words are poison, so are your thoughts, the mind has a mechanism to warn us of what are we getting or what not,

But we need to realize:
That was a given option and not yet precise.'

Realizing I haven't yet in the water, and just looking over the shore.

Was that a dream? Or that was real?
The questions started to flood, but no answers are available,
And yet I found myself soaking in salty water.

Was that a dream? Or that was real?
Whether it was real or a dream;
One thing is clear;
I think I have seen my fears.
But why my feet keep walking towards the deceiving water?

I guess, regardless of everything,

I still hoping to catch the glamorous fish;

Or perhaps,

I am just ready to face my fears.
