❝ Kid, I just want you to be happy.

If there was anything that Axel Davis looked forwards to it was the yearly visit of his older brother, Alexander.

The two currently were sitting in Axel's bedroom, Axel sitting cross legged on his bed as his older brother glanced around at the small trinkets and objects that the shelves held on display.

"When was this?" the sudden voice made Axel glance up to where his brother was looking at a framed photo that was perched on the lower shelf.

The image painted itself to be of Axel, Roman, Grayson and Brandy, all of them with smiles wide, Roman even being mid laugh when the photo had been taken. If you looked close enough you would notice the blue icing smeared on to Brandy's cheek.

"Oh, that was at Brandy's sixteenth birthday. We chased her around the yard with a piece of cake and, well, Grayson took the slice in his hand and chucked it at her because she wouldn't let us smash her face in it." the blond chuckled softly as he pictured the memory in his mind, the whole story earning a loud laugh from Alexander.

"You all sure haven't changed a bit, have you?"

Axel gave a tiny laugh, shaking his head in reply.

Alexander directed his attention from the photo and to his teenage brother, approaching the bed and falling back on to it with a small chuckle.

"So, how about you, bubs. Anything new happen since I last visited?" the raven haired male questioned, folding his arms under his head as he turned a questioning gaze to the teen.

'Nothing really.. just found out that the school nerd and my crush is Spider-Man, no biggie.'

"Uh, nothing really. Just the usual, boring school shit." Axel settled on, keeping his tone casual and nonchalant.

Alexander hummed a bit, "Any girls you happen to have your eyes on?"

That question made Axel freeze, realization flooding in to his mind.

Axel hadn't come out to him yet.

The blonde knew his brother would accept him, but there was always that nagging fear in the back of his head that told him that he would be disowned and left alone by the person he had looked up too ever since he was eight.

"Axel, you alright?" Alexander's concerned voice bled through Axel's clouded thoughts, looking over to see that his brother had sat up and now was looking at him with worried brown irises.

"Uhm.. yeah. I'm fine." the teen swallowed thickly, licking at his lips to wet them in apprehension.

"But about the whole girls thing. Uhm, you see, it's not really a girl. It's a guy. I'm gay. And I know I should have told you earlier but it just never seemed like the right time and I didn't want to ruin the moment." the blond rambled out, teeth pulling back his bottom lip visibly.

"Woah, woah, woah. Slow down, bubs," Alexander coaxed, reaching over to lift Axel's chin with his index finger, "It's okay."

Those two words made Axel smile a bit. Those two words washed away the fear and panic that the teen had felt moments ago.

Still, he opened his mouth to ask the question he had popped to everyone he came out too.

"You're not mad?"

Alexander shook his head the moment those three words were put out in to the open, "Kid, I just want you to be happy."

Axel gave a small, breathy laugh in response, nodding a bit.

"Now, about this boy you mentioned," Axel groaned a bit as his brother fell back on the bed once again, "Tell me about him."

Axel let out a light sigh, falling back on to the bed as well, folding his arms over his stomach as he fixated his gaze at the ceiling.

"His name is Peter. Peter Parker. He's in my biology class and he's just.. this is gonna sound cheesy as hell, but he's literally perfect. He's sweet, funny and adorable," a tiny smile graced Axel's lips, "Like I said, he's perfect."

"Then why don't you ask him out?" Alexander responded bluntly, making Axel sputter a bit.

"And how do you suppose I do that?"

"You can write him a song. That's how I asked out Briar."

"Not everyone is as musically inclined as you are, Alex." came Axel's retort as he glanced over at his brother.

"Says the one who's in musical theater." Alexander remarked, glancing right back at the teen.

"Writing a song and singing from sheet music are two entirely different things." Axel's attempt at a blunt response was buffered by small chuckles.

"I'll find out what to do. It'll just take a while." the blonde added on, sincerity tinting his words.

"All I'm saying is that if this dude hurts you, I'll kick his ass." Alexander responded in a serious tone, making Axel chuckle lightly.

"Peter wouldn't hurt a fly, Alexander." the teen hummed out, closing his eyes lightly as he felt contentment wash over him.

Maybe he would work up the courage to ask out Peter.

Just maybe.
