The Perfect Date
*Alex's POV*
We hurried to the location of the mayor. I was right! I knew the Slitheen were back. I knew they were trying to take over again. Jack threw up his hands, explaining his plan. Um. My plan is so much better. Just drop a nuke on her ass. Perfect right? "According to intelligence, the target is the last surviving member of the Slitheen family, a criminal sect from the planet Raxacoricofallapatorious, masquerading as a human being, zipped inside a skin suit. Okay, plan of attack, we assume a basic fifty seven fifty six strategy, covering all available exits on the ground floor. Doctor, you go face to face, that'll designate exit One, Rose and I will cover exit two," Course Jack would make Rose go with him. "Mickey Smith, you take exit three and Russo, you just stand here with your wand. Have you got that?" I'd much rather have a gun, but I guess my wand works too.
"Excuse me. Who's in charge?" The Doctor rolled his eyes at Jack.
"Sorry." Jack mumbled, he turned to me, "awaiting orders, ma'am." Ah, thank god someone finally notices my abilities.
"Right. Here's the plan." I turned to the Doctor, "I'm going face to face with the Slitheen and you're gonna stand here and patiently wait for us." The Doctor's eyes widened at me and he tilted his head, "problem?" I crossed my arms at him.
The Doctor slightly lifted his hands in defense, "nice plan." He nodded to me. "Anything else?"
"Present arms." Jack grinned as we all whipped out our phones.
"Ready!" We nodded to each other.
"Speed dial?"
"Yup." The Doctor said popping out the 'p'.
"Ready." Rose nodded.
"Let's go kick some Slitheen ass." I giggled, "again."
"Check." Mickey Mouse said nervously. Maybe I should stay with Mickey instead? He seems unsure.
"See ya in hell." Jack laughed like a crazy bitch as him and Rose ran off to their exit together. Mickey groaned miserably as he ran to his exit.
"You know it's not too late to switch exits." The Doctor raised his eyebrows at me.
"In your dreams, big ears." I walked straight into the mayor's office, walking over to the man outside her office. "Hi!" I tried to sound pleasant, "I've come to see the Lord Mayor."
"Have you got an appointment?" I tilted my head at him, do I look like the type of girl to have an appointment, no? No.
"Nah," I flipped my hair out of my face, "I'm just an old friend, heard she's been successful, wanted to congratulate her. Bit of a surprise, can't wait to see her face!" I laughed in the man's face. This man is taking forever. Just wobble into her office and tell Margaret her favorite Wizard is back.
The man nodded, "well, she's just having a cup of tea." Ah good, knew you'd see it my way.
"Just go in there, and tell her Alex Russo would like to see her." I giggled at him.
"That name sounds familiar." Well no shit buddy, I've fucked up a lot, now hurry up and get the fat lady behind the chair. I gave him a nice smile and tilted my head to the side.
"Tell her exactly that. Alex Russo." I motioned for the man to go and get the mayor.
He stood up and hurried over to the door, "hold on a tick." He opened the doors to the office and went inside. I put my hands on my hips, patiently waiting for my dear old friend to welcome me into her office. I giggled, hearing a teacup breaking. Always had a feeling this mayor was a clutz. The man came back out and he seemed slightly flustered.
"The Lord Mayor says thank you fo-for popping by... She'd love to have a chat, but, um... She's up to her eyes in paperwork. Perhaps if you could make an appointment for next week...?" Awe, a stutterer, how adorable.
I kept a blank face on for the man, "she's climbing out of the window, isn't she?"
"Yes, she is." The man nodded to me. Idiot. I ran past him and into the room, quickly hurrying to the balcony.
I spotted Margaret running away and whipped out my phone, "Slitheen heading North."
I went to climb down but her little man maid ran over to me and grabbed me, "leave the mayor alone!" Oh go away.
I whipped out my wand, "oh you're so gonna pass out." I giggled as I flashed myself off the balcony.
"On our way." Rose yelled into the phone.
"Over and out." The Doctor called back.
"Oh my god." Mickey said in a panicked voice. I sighed, knowing he was going to be the one to screw it up. I should've just stayed with him.
I hurried after Margaret. She was far ahead of me thanks to her stupid guard. I slammed into the Doctors back. Whoops. He shoulda saw me comin'. I watched as Margaret ran to an exit that wasn't being covered.
"Who the hell was on exit four?" I scrunched up my face and put my hands on my hips.
"That was Mickey!" Rose said as she looked around for him. No sign.
I saw Mickey sprinting from the wrong exit, "here I am!" Poor Mickey Mouse. I probably should've gone with him.
"Mickey the Idiot." The Doctor rolled his eyes and I pinched his arm. If I can't curse, he can't name call.
"Oh, be fair, she's not exactly gonna outrun us, is she?" Rose said and we turned to Margaret, smiling happily as she ran to freedom.
I squinted and focused on Margaret, thinking of what I wanted to happen. I smirked as she zipped right in front of my face. Margaret stared at me with her eyes wide, but that didn't stop her. She clipped her brooch and her earrings together, vanishing. "She's got a teleport! That's cheating. Now we're never gonna get her." Jack whined.
"Oh, the Doctor's very good with teleports." Rose grinned ear to ear as the Doctor took out the sonic.
"Yeah? But I'm better." I heard everything Professor Crumbs said while I was in the coma, if 'I'm so powerful', let me bring Margaret back myself. I squinted my eyes again and took out my wand, circling it around my head, and allowing me to see the time vortex. I scanned all of time and space, searching for Margaret.
"Alex?" I felt Rose put a hand on my shoulder. Yeah, not now love, I'm busy.
"Ah, gotcha." I smirked, "middle of Japan, 1849." I did the transportation spell, having Margaret run straight towards us. She stared at us in disbelief. Margaret disappeared again and I just transported her back, "I could do this all day, love." I raised my eyebrows at Margaret.
"This is persecution. Why can't you leave me alone? What did I ever do to you?" Only an idiot would ask that question.
I looked up at the Doctor, who scoffed at her, "you tried to kill me and destroy this entire planet."
"Apart from that." Margaret shrugged. How annoying are these Slitheens? They just don't fuck off do they?
The Doctor beamed at me and we followed Margaret back to the town hall. I looked around her office, quite nice if you ask me. "So, you're a Slitheen, you're on Earth, you're trapped. Your family got killed but you teleport out just in the nick of time. You have no means of escape. What do you do? You build a nuclear power station." I rested my hands on her desk, glaring at Margaret, "but what for?"
"A philanthropic gesture. I've learnt the error of my ways." I rolled my eyes, oh Margaret must be an idiot if she thinks that's gonna fool me.
"And it just so happens to be right on top of the rift." I squinted my eyes at Margaret.
"What rift would that be?" Oh come on already.
I burst out laughing at Margaret, "you're gonna have to do so much better than that if you want to out lie a liar."
I felt a hand on my shoulder, "a rift in space and time. If this power station went into meltdown, the entire planet would go schwwwupboom!" Jack said, flailing his arms about. I snickered, the kid can't talk unless he can use his hands.
"This station is designed to explode the minute it reaches capacity." The Doctor walked over to the model before investigating it.
"Didn't anyone notice? Isn't there someone in London checking this sort of stuff?" Rose scrunched up her face as she stared at Margaret.
"We're in Cardiff. London doesn't care! The South Wales coast could fall into the sea and they wouldn't notice." Ew. She's gone native. Disgusting. Well, at least for her. "Oh, I sound like a Welshman. God help me, I've gone native." That's what I said! Sucks to be you, bitch.
"But why would she do that? A great big explosion, she'd only end up killing herself." Mickey Mouse scrunched up his face At Margaret. Well... She's clearly insane Mickey, catch up.
"She's got a name, you know." Margaret shrugged to Mickey.
"She's not even a she," Mickey paused, his face full of disgust, "she's a... Thing." Well. Looks like we're back to that.
"Oh, but she's clever." The Doctor ripped the middle section off of the model and flipped it over, revealing a giant circuit board underneath. "Fantastic." He grinned at her. Well, she is smart then. Not as smart as me, but she's smart.
"Is that a tribophysical waveform macro kinetic extrapolator?!" Jack grinned like a madman. I giggled at him, he really is a psychopath.
"Couldn't have put it better myself." I laughed at Jack as he messed up my hair.
"Oh, genius!" Jack laughed excitedly, "but you didn't build this."
Margaret has a smug smile on her face, "I have my hobbies. A little tinkering..."
"No, no, no, I mean, you really didn't build this. It's way beyond you." I shook my head at Margaret, examining the extrapolator.
Mickey pointed to Margaret, "I bet she stole it." He's probably right. If Margaret didn't try to kill everyone on this planet, I'd like her.
"It fell into my hands." Margaret shrugged.
"Is it a weapon?" Rose asked as Jack placed the extrapolator down on the floor.
I shook my head at Rose, "it's transport. You see, the reactor blows, the rift opens, phenomenal cosmic disaster, but this thing shrouds you in a forcefield, you have this energy bubble, zzhum, so you're safe. Then you feed it coordinates, stand on top, and ride the concussion all the way out of the solar system." Jack smiled at me proud that I knew. I did listen to some of Justin's rambles, not all, but some.
"It's a surfboard!" Mickey nodded to us. Yeah basically.
"A pan-dimensional surfboard, yeah." Jack nodded back to Mickey.
"And it would've worked. I would've surfed away from this dead-end dump and back to civilisation." See, that's why I refuse to like Margaret, she's clearly smart. But wayyyy to devious for me.
"You'd blow up a whole planet just to get a lift?" Mickey scrunched up his face.
"Like stepping on an anthill." Margaret gave us an evil grin.
"How'd you think of the name?" We turned to the Doctor, who was staring at a huge poster.
"What, Blaidd Drwg? It's Welsh." Margaret shrugged in return.
"I know, but how did you think of it?" The Doctor continued, staring at the poster with his eyes wide.
"Choose it at random, that's all. I dunno. Just sounded good. Does it matter?" Margaret scrunched up her face.
"Blaidd Drwg." The Doctor read the poster out loud.
"What's it mean?" I tilted my head at the Doctor, walking over to him.
"Bad Wolf."
"But I've heard that before, Bad Wolf. I've heard that lots of times." I looked back and forth between the Doctor and the poster.
"Everywhere we go. Two words following us. Bad Wolf."
"How can they be following us?" Rose asked as she came over to us.
"Nah! Just a coincidence! Like hearing a word on the radio then hearing it all day. Never mind!" I stared at the Doctor. I maybe an idiot, but I'm not that much of an idiot. Everywhere we go, these same two damn words followin us. It's not a coincidence and he knows it. "Things to do." The Doctor clapped his hands together, "Margaret, we're gonna take you home."
"Hold on, isn't that the easy option, like letting her go?" Jack threw his hands up. Kinda agree with him, she's escaped us once, do we really want to risk that again?
"I don't believe it! We actually get to go to Raxa-" I raised my eyebrows at Rose, waiting for her to spit it out. "Wait a minute! Raxacor"-
"Raxacoricofallapatorius." I motioned with my hands for Rose to continue.
"Raxacorico..." Rose just spit it out!
"fallapatorius." I continued for Rose.
"Raxacoricofallapatorius!" Rose squealed.
"That's it!" The Doctor and I laughed at Rose as we gave her a tight hug.
"I did it!" Rose giggled. Bout time, Rosie.
"They have the death penalty." Everyone's smiles fade, except mine, as we turn to look at Margaret, "the family Slitheen was tried in its absence many years ago and found guilty. With no chance of appeal. According to the statutes of government, the moment I return, I am to be executed. What do you make of that, Alex, Doctor? Take me home and you take me to my death." You're asking the wrong person lady, I don't care what the hell happens to you.
I walked up to Margaret, "I could give less of a fuck." She gave me a sad look and we walked back to the Tardis, silently.
"This ship is impossible! It's superb. How do you get the outside around the inside?" Oh shut it you.
"Like I'd give you the secret, yeah." The Doctor rolled his eyes at Margaret.
"I almost feel better about being defeated. We never stood a chance. This is the technology of the gods." Margaret was still in shock as she looked around the Doctors home.
"Don't worship me, I'd make a very bad god. You wouldn't get a day off, for starters." The Doctor rolled his eyes again at Margaret.
I hopped over to Jack, "how we doing, big fella?" I giggled as I messed around with his hair.
"This extrapolator's top of the range." Jack squinted his eyes at Margaret, "where did you get it?"
"Oh, I don't know. Some airlock sale?"
"Must've been a great big heist. It's stacked with power." Jack stared at Margaret in disbelief.
"But we can use it for fuel?" The Doctor asked Jack as he walked over to me.
"It's not compatible, but it should knock off about twelve hours. We'll be ready to go by morning." Jack smiled.
"Then we're stuck here." I rolled my eyes as I turned to Margaret, "overnight."
"I'm in no hurry." Margaret had an evil grin on her face.
"We've got a prisoner! The police box is really a police box." Rose raised her eyebrows. Yeah I guess you could say that.
"You're not just police, though. Since you're taking me to my death, that makes you my executioners. Each and every one of you." Margaret tilted her head at us. Like that's gonna make us feel sorry for you.
"Well, you deserve it." Mickey Mouse rolled his eyes at Margaret. See? He's not wrong.
"You're very quick to say so. You're very quick to soak your hands in my blood. Which makes you better than me, how, exactly? Long night ahead. Let's see who can look me in the eye." Margaret first challenged Mickey, Rose, then Jack. The Doctor didn't even bother looking up from the console. Margaret glared at me as she found me already glaring at her. I wasn't afraid of Margaret. I wasn't afraid to take Margaret to her death. Her whole plan went against her own planet's laws, she deserved this. "You really want to soak your hands in my blood? Are you ready for that guilt?"
I laughed. What guilt would I have? I'm Alex fucking Russo, I don't feel any sort of guilt for taking her to her penalty. "I'll gladly take you to your death."
"Don't think your attitude frightens me, Alex. I know you're scared to take me. You wouldn't have the guts." Margaret challenged me. Oh really? The Doctor put his hand on my shoulder, knowing I was about to flash her into a cage of hungry lions.
"Don't really think you're really anywhere Margaret." Jack spoke up. "Do you know anything about the Wizard Mafia?" Margaret turned to Jack and nodded, "Russo over here killed every single one of them. She blew up then to bits without a second thought. Also blew up the Cyber planet and didn't show any signs of being scared, don't think your little glare is going to scare Alex." Margaret turned back to me, her eyes slightly widened, I smirked at her. The only person who's braver than I am, is Harkness. I'm not scared of taking Margaret to her death. I'll do it by myself if the three of them don't want to come.
I watched Rose and Mickey head outside. I looked over at Jack, who watched them sadly. I sighed, I feel horrible for Jack. I doubt Mickey and Rose will break up anytime soon, Jack will just get tired of waiting and move on. I felt a kiss being planted on my forehead and I looked up, sending the Doctor a smile."I gather it's not always like this, having to wait." Margaret's voice broke the silence, "I bet you're always the first to leave, Alex, Doctor. Nevermind the consequences, off you go. You butchered my family and then ran for the stars, am I right? But not this time. At last, you have consequences. How does it feel?" Feels nice. I still sleep comfortably at night. Sorry, is now not the time?
"We didn't butcher them." The Doctor shrugged at Margaret.
"Don't answer back. That's what she wants." Jack turned to face the Doctor.
"I didn't."
I crossed my arms at Margaret, "what about you? You had an emergency teleport, you didn't zap them to safety, did you?"
"It only carries one. I had to fly without coordinates. I ended up on a skip in the Isle of Dogs." I burst out laughing, along with Jack and the Doctor, "It wasn't funny!"
"Sorry." The Doctor smiled at Margaret. Don't be sorry Doctor! It's funny.
"It's funny as hell, Margaret." I laughed my ass off at Margaret.
"Do I get a last request?" Margaret asked with a grin on her face. Nah. You're lucky we can't take you right now.
"Depends what it is." The Doctor crossed his arms at Margaret.
"I grew quite fond of my little Human life. All those rituals, the brushing of the teeth, and the complicated way they cook things, there's a little restaurant. Just round the bay. It became quite a favorite of mine."
I squinted my eyes at Margaret, "is that what you want? A last meal?" I can't really be judging, if I was getting the death sentence all I would want is a last meal as well.
"Don't I have rights?" Margaret asked innocently. Barely.
"Oh, like she's not gonna try to escape." Jack glared at Margaret.
"Except I can never escape the Doctor or Alex, so where's the danger? But I wonder if you could do it? To sit with a creature you're about to kill and take supper. How strong is your stomach?" Margaret challenged us.
"Strong enough." I glared at her.
"I wonder. I've seen you fight your enemies, now dine with them."
"You won't change my mind." The Doctor walked over to me, wrapping his arm around my waist, and pulled me into his side.
"Prove it." Margaret continued. Girl just drop it, you're not getting anywhere with us.
"There are people out there. If you slip away just for one second, they'll be in danger. We're not having that happen." The Doctor shook his head at Margaret.
Jack ran to his bag, ripping it open looking for something, "except, I've got these!" He held up a pair of handcuffs. "You both wear one. If she moves more than ten feet away," Jack made a loud buzzing noise, mimicking an electric shock. "She gets zapped by ten thousand volts."
"Margaret, would you like to come out to dinner? My treat." The Doctor smiled pleasantly at Margaret.
"Dinner in bondage, works for me." Margaret sent the Doctor an evil grin back.
"You coming, love?" The Doctor tucked a stray hair behind my ear.
"You think I'm missing food? Damn right I'm coming." The Doctor chuckled at me, "the perfect date." I grinned up at the Doctor. Oh this was going to be fun.
