Meanwhile...

Ceceillia Mendez was a disgraced Alpha female on a mission, gentle reader.

Despite her wolf turning on her when she began her campaign, her family disowning her after her scene at the engagement party, and the failure of a potion that turned her supposed ally into the perfect Omega; she was not to be denied any longer.

And as she was now dressed to kill while hiding in plain sight of the general population of Covington Springs; her targets for her plan were in her line of fire.

It was considered lucky of her to have another contact of a rogue witch who knew of the situation. Of course, the witch in question was hesitant to help Ceceillia after learning of the werewolf's plans. But Ceceillia was not to be deterred. Whatever she wanted, she would get. Unfortunately, the rogue witch (Melaswen by name) knew of it as well, given that she also knew that the disgraced werewolf would kill her where she stood if she refused.

Minutes later, Ceceillia was the owner of a sleeping draught and a few other potions that were known to be lethal. But she didn't want to leave anything to chance, hence her killing the poor Melaswen by slashing her throat before burning down her small cabin that was in the woods.

That was days ago, gentle reader. And now, she was ready to make her next move as she was watching the lovebirds (her intended targets) talk shop about future wedding plans and their friends before they excused themselves. Once she saw them leave for the restroom, she made her move and poured the sleeping draught into their drinks. Satisfied with the results and knowing that the potion would be tasteless, she quickly took her repose and hid in the shadows.

"Won't be long now," she said gleefully as she watched Lyle Arohnson and Thierry Lemieux return to their drinks. "Once they take their sips and be knocked out, I'll start the blackouts and then the moon wolf and his second-chance mate will be mine for the taking. And that's when I'll really make my move for the four lovey-dovey drips! Whether they and their friends will give me what I want or not, I'll get rid of them once and for all and show the whole world that I am the most ruthless and fiercest Alpha female of them all! No one dares to reject me and gets away with it!"

Little did she know was that a familiar elderly woman who was the keeper of the supernatural gods was watching her every move as well. And once she saw Ceceilla in the shadows of the dimly-lit bar area before noticing her Mistress's child and his mate collapse from their poisoned drinks before the blackout occured, she knew that she needed to report her findings to everyone. "Ceceillia Mendez, you have signed your death warrant," Persimmon intoned gravely. "You will meet your end."
