Finally.

Finally!

After waiting my entire life,

For those three little words, you say them.

"I'm proud of you" she said.

Those words lifted my heart

And made me cry tears of joy,

For the first time in my entire life.

My heart swelled

With pride and satisfaction,

But, above all,

Happiness.

I'm finally happy again.

I beat it.

I beat everything I've been trying to beat,

For the past two years.

I'm finally whole again;

My broken pieces fixing themselves.

And all I needed to hear,

Was,

"I'm proud of you"

and

"I have faith in you".

I can't believe I finally did it.

I'll remember this night forever.

I'm not the average teen,

But for the first time in history,

I'm glad I am the way I am.

I was broken and bruised.

But now I'm a warrior.

I'm stronger than I've been before.

And,

After so much pain and sadness,

I'm finally me again.

I'm finally happy again.
