Blue's POV
A nightmare. That's all it was. The wails of agony echoing in the dark. Lux was there. She often appeared in my dreams. I grabbed her hand, tugging her short arm, signalling her to follow me. We tiptoed through the well known halls of our house, until we arrived at the source of the screaming. Our parents' bedroom. Then, everything became silent. I don't know what possessed me to creak open the door, but I did. Inside was a horrific sight. An unknown creature. It's shape was relatively human, but more sinister. There were no eyes, no nose, no fingernails, only a crudely shaped hole where a mouth should be. With four rows of bloody razors protruding awkwardly. That seemed to be the only thing on the pale, ugly creature, yet it was not the most disturbing. Inside its horrifying jaws was the decimated head of my mother. Eyes staring lifelessly. One crunch and the haunting blue eyes were gone. It seemed my father had already been devoured. The beast then turned toward us, at an agonizingly slow pace.

"Hello darlingsss. I've been dying to meet you." The thing said in a raspy snake-like voice. "If you ever want to ssee your parentsss again, you'll do exssactly asss I ssay." It was then that I realized, this was no nightmare.
But that was 2 years ago, just the start of our little... "adventure". Things have, let's say, "escalated" from there.

A shiver crept its way down my spine, and I lost my grip on the pencil I was using to hastily scratch down the memory. My journal was the only thing keeping me sane these days. Suddenly, a big gust of wind blew out my only candle. I was surrounded in darkness.
