"Y- you have one I-in your case?" Styx asks slightly shocked at the man

"N-not really, I came back to New York to visit some friends and if possible take a quick trip to Arizona" Newt smiles remembering his American friends

Styx' face turns slightly confused and if annoyed at the sudden statement given

"What? I just met you and you want me to go to Arizona with you?!" She says a little loud and the half sleeping hippogriff awakes again

Newts expression stays the same but his insides break apart, to hear someone who he has a close friendship with say that is abnormal but expected

"W-well if it's to meet a thunderbird then I-I guess I could go" Styx replies stroking the hippogriffs wing

Newt smiles "what's his name?" He asks changing subject, and pointing to the half bird half horse animal

"Orlando, that's where ASCACM rescued him. He was a baby, only a few months old and there was a man breeding hippogriffs there and selling them off illegally, he also abused the animals. We rescued him and a few others, the rest to injured to make the journey back" Styx sighs

"It seems like your v-very close to him" Newt smiles even wider, but this time it is fake. That story crushed him

"Yes, I had just moved onto hippogriffs and got him as a project. We were going to release him into the wild but we soon found out he had a shattered wing and couldn't fly, so we didn't take the chance" Styx smiles down at her animal friend

"He's also a very unusual colour" Newt states

"You know your Creatures don't you Mr. Scamander" Styx turns

"I'm a magizologist, and my mum was a hippogriff breeder, but she took care of them though" Newt says fiddling with the handle of his case

"That's probably why he likes you!" Styx smiles gesturing to Orlando

"C-can I ask you a q-question, if y-you don't.. uhm mind?"

"Sure!" Styx replies

"What school did you go to, and what house were you in?" Newt asks with a bit more confidence

"Ilvermorny! I was a thunderbird!" She says smiling

Newts face drops

"So you know Tina Goldstein?" He asks trying to keep together

"Yes I do know her, but.. eh don't like her" Styx replies

"Oh well then there might be a problem.."
