Chapter 4
Chapter 4.
"Are you sure you wanna do this Billy?" Erin asked as she and William went down the driveway.
"Yes. I wanna go back to the set and see what's going on. Eric won't even show me the script." He explained as she helped him into the car.
"Alright. But if your knee starts hurting more, we are going home. Understand?" Erin demanded.
"Yes. You act more like a mom than our mother sometimes." William said as she started driving the car.
Erin turned on the radio on Sugar by Maroon 5. William started singing.
"I'm hurting baby, I'm broken down. I need your lovin, lovin, I need it now. When I'm without you, I'm something weak. You got me begging, begging, I'm on my knees. I don't wanna be needing your love, I just wanna be deep in your love, and that's gonna be when your away, oh baby. Cause I really don't care where you are, I just wanna be there where you are, and I gotta get one little taste."
By the chorus, Erin started singing with him.
"Sugar, yes please. Won't you come and put it down on me? I'm right here, cause I need, a little love and a little sympathy. Yeah you show me good loving, make it alright, need a little sweetness, in my life. Sugar, yes please, won't you come and put it down on me?"
Then they both started laughing so hard that they couldn't sing the rest of the song and William had to remind Erin to keep her eyes on the road.
"Says the guy who got arrested for a DUI. She fired as she started paying more attention to the road.
"Really? That was one time. I already heard enough yelling about that from dad and mom. I don't wanna hear it anymore." William said as they pulled into the parking lot of the set.
"Fine. Sorry. I forgot you are still ticked off about yesterday." Erin admitted as she got out of her seat.
After she got William set up, they walked in and he immediately saw Chris and Bryan.
"Hey guys." William said.
"Hi. You holding up ok?" Chris asked.
"I'll live." William said with a smile.
"Good. Your brother is doing a great job. Even if we had to use a ton of makeup and a voice modifier so he looks and sounds like you." Bryan explained.
"That's a lot of work. Are you sure you don't wanna just put me in there and get a stunt double for awhile?" William suggested.
"Billy!" Erin scolded as she gently pushed his shoulder.
"Sorry." He apologized.
Someone grabbed William's chair out of his dressing room and Erin helped him sit down.
"Thanks." Hsmiled.
"No problem. Do you want something to eat?" Erin asked.
"I'm ok." William said.
"Alright, I'll be getting lunch if you need me." Erin said as she walked to the cafeteria.
He looked over at the set to see Eric doing his lines and he seemed almost exactly like him. It made him really sad knowing that his own brother was having so much fun while he was filling in for him. But he was also a bit happy for him. He seemed really excited doing my role. After a while, he saw him doing something totally unlike the character and he got really mad. He did not know why, but suddenly wanted to punch him. William decided that once Eric was done, he would calmly explain it to him. After that scene, they took a break for lunch and Eric realized his brother was there.
"Hey Billy." Eric smiled.
"It looks like you're having a lot of fun." William smiled as he stood up with his crutches.
"Oh I am. I know why you love this role so much. It's amazing!" Eric happily exclaimed.
"Yeah. However, while you were filming that scene, I noticed that you did something unlike the character." William explained.
"What do you mean?" Eric asked.
"How you said the line. You said it calmly when Chase would've blown up. I just thought you should know." William explained.
"I did it fine. And if I didn't, Bryan or Chris would've told me." Eric said.
"I have been doing this role since I was 16. Trust me on that." William explained.
"But it's fine the way I did it. Your just jealous." Eric said.
"I am not jealous, I am letting you know so you don't get kicked out." William explained.
"Yeah. Your not jealous. I heard what you said to Chris and Bryan when you arrived." Eric said.
"I am perfectly capable of doing this role and I would be even better if I had been ready for the wire gag." William explained, with a little force and anger in his voice.
"But you weren't. And here we are. I'm doing your role while you are depending on Erin for everything." Eric fired at him.
"I'm not depending on her! I can get around fine without her!" William yelled.
"Oh really? You can drive over here?" Eric demanded.
"No...but, otherwise I am perfectly capable." William said.
"That's what I thought. Yesterday you could barely get off the couch!" Eric yelled.
"Because mom and Erin wouldn't let me!" William yelled back.
Erin and Kelli came in the room and saw the two boys fighting. Erin grabbed Eric and Kelli grabbed William.
"Boys! Knock it off!" Erin yelled.
"Stop fighting!" Kelli yelled as she tried to pull William down.
William threw Kelli off his shoulder and hit Eric with his crutches.
"Your really gonna do that? Jokes on you, I can move cripple!" Eric yelled as he threw Erin off his arm and kicked William in the knee.
He fell to the ground immediately, gripping his knee in pain and groaning.
"Eric! How could you do that?!" Erin yelled.
Eric immediately went from angry to upset.
"I'm...I..." Eric said, then left the room.
Erin and Kelli helped William off the floor, and he cried out in pain at every movement. They finally got him in his chair and let him rest a bit before they demanded a explanation.
"Billy what happened?" Kelli asked.
"I just told Eric that he did something that was out of character and he claimed I was jealous. It just expanded from there." William explained.
"Alright, I think we should get home. Come on Billy." Erin said as she helped him with his crutches.
William slowly walked to the car and wondered why Eric got so mad. After all, he was just trying to help.
