Chapter 10.
William was still recovering from surgery, and today it would be confirmed whether or not it worked. William finally posted a message on his Instagram along with a picture of him in the hospital. It said.
"Hey guys, this happened while filming the last few episodes of season one and I'm recovering from surgery right now. I love all of you and I hope I see you guys soon."
He was soon flooded with well wishes from his faithful fans, along with the occasional usual comments involving why he was William Brent now. That always happened now, but he had gotten used to it. He also posted a smaller, but similar message on Twitter. He was very bored because his mom, siblings and girlfriend were getting lunch, so he was just playing around on his phone when he saw he got a reply on Instagram from Leo Howard, his best friend. They had been friends since he had played a character in Leo's TV show that ended in 2014 called Kickin it. It said.
"So sorry buddy, I wanna drop everything and visit you, but I'm working on episode 6 of my show Freakish and the directors won't let me go. I'll visit you soon."
He replied back.
"It's ok Leo. Have fun with Freakish."
"Thanks I will." Leo added.
Then he put his phone down when he saw Jake and Bradley come in the room.
"Hey guys." He smiled as he sat up a bit.
"Your alive." Bradley said as he hugged his friend.
"Bradley. He had knee surgery. Not open heart surgery." Jake pointed out.
"He still could have died." Bradley fired back as Jake hugged William.
"Have you guys heard from Paris? I haven't talked to her in awhile." William realized as he remembered what happened.
Flashback...
"Ok, I didn't know how to tell you, but I figured you needed to know." Paris said.
"Know what?" William asked.
"Ok, I like you, Billy. And I have liked you since I met you. I didn't know how I should say it or if I should. After all, you have Angela." Paris explained.
"Paris, I...I don't know what to say about that." William admitted.
"I'm such a idiot. I know. I shouldn't have said anything. See you around William." Paris said with a mix of anger and sadness in her voice as she left the room.
End of flashback...
William shuddered at the fact that he didn't tell his cast mate that...he may like her. He couldn't believe that she had been the one to open up about her feelings and not him. He couldn't believe that he was still dating Angela when he may very well like Paris more.
"Earth to Billy." He heard as he was snapped out of his thoughts to see Bradley holding his hands over his mouth and speaking into them right in his face.
"What are you, Darth Vader? Knock it off." William smiled as he gently pushed Bradley away from his face.
Then he heard the door open and he saw his mom, his siblings and his girlfriend.
"Hey baby." Angela greeted as he kissed his cheek.
"Are you feeling any better?" Erin asked gently.
"A little." William smiled as his sister smiled back.
"I see you updated your Twitter and Instagram." Eric smirked.
"Why do you follow me again? We live in the same house and the same bedroom." William realized.
"Because I don't get to go places with you sometimes like the Coachella music festival." Eric pointed out.
"You win." William raised his hands in mock surrender.
"The doctor should be in here a bit to check out your knee." Karly smiled as she ran her hand through his hair.
"That's good." He smiled as the door opened again and he saw Leo.
"Leo! I thought you were working." He said as his friend hugged him.
"I was, I finally convinced the directors to let me over here." Leo explained.
"Thanks man." William smiled.
"No problem. You feeling ok?" Leo asked.
"I'm sore, but I'll live." William assured his friend.
"That's good." Leo said as he sat down.
"Well, sorry we didn't get to hang out much Billy, but we'll see you around." Bradley said as he and Jake left.
"I gotta go also. I just got a text from my dad. Sorry baby." Angela said as she kissed Billy's forehead.
"It's ok Angela. I'll text you as soon as we know how the surgery went." William smiled as she picked up her purse and waved before leaving.
Soon enough Leo had to get back to the set of Freakish, so it was just the Ungers left. Erin kept stroking his hair and it was getting a bit annoying.
"Erin...that's annoying." William whined.
"You know you like it." Erin said as she continued to do it.
"No I really don't." William laughed as she stopped.
Then they saw the doctor come in and William sat up. After about twenty minutes, the doctor finished up.
"How is his knee?" Karly asked.
"The surgery worked. He'll be starting physical therapy in a few months." The doctor said as he took off his gloves and left.
After quickly telling Angela, Leo and the lab rats cast, he was immediately engulfed in a hug by his siblings and mother. A stunt gone wrong may have had it's challenges, bumps and definite bruises, but it had brought the Unger family closer then ever before.
