Before time began, there was the Cube. We know not where it comes from, only that it holds the power to create worlds and fill them with life. That was how our race was born. For a time, we lived in harmony, but like all great power, some wanted it for good, others for evil. And so began the war - a war that ravaged our planet until it was consumed by death, and the Cube was lost to the far reaches of space. We scattered across the galaxy, hoping to find it and rebuild our home, searching every star, every world. And just when all hope seemed lost, message of a new discovery drew us to an unknown planet called... Earth. But we were already too late.

Persephone's point of view,
I was sitting down in the backseat of my uncle Ron's 1961 Austin-Healey 3000 with most of my stuff in the seat next me while my uncle drives and my aunt is sitting in the shotgun seat.
Now you are probably thinking what is going on and why are you with your aunt and uncle also there may be other questions that drifts into your head like:
Why are you with your aunt and uncle instead with your mom and stepdad, Paul?
Well.
After the second giant war, I came home to the police at my house and when I went up to them, they show me a ransom like note and said while they do the investigation that I had to go live with my mom's older sister and her family in South Gate, California.
So that means that I have to go to my cousin, Sam's school and live there and such.
I will be in the same grade as Sam and will have the classes as him cause the school thought I should be with someone I kinda knew.
I don't even remember my aunt Judy and her family but apparently they knew since I was in diapers.
And that my mom and I used to visit until my mom married smelly Gabe and he made my mom stop communicating with her.
But one of the good news, is that my friends can visit me whenever they can but they have to call ahead beforehand.
My aunt and uncle doesn't know who my dad is, they only know what my told me before I found out about the gods.
Also the other good news is that I will have some normalcy in my life.

If only I knew how wrong I was.
