The moon shined an eerie pale yellow. It casted a creepy glow among the misty land. Mountains jutted out of the background. Bony trees had lost their leaves. The wind howled through the night, crying out, sending chills straight to the bones of anyone who heard it. Tonight was the night, the night of Halloween, and the shades of the dark forest were restless.

The horrid creatures creeped along the ground, silently slipping from shadow to shadow. Their white eyes glowed, their long, black claws shone in the moonlight. In their eyes, they showed deep hunger, anger, and bloodlust. They communicated through quiet taps, clicks, and whistles. Tonight, as they did every year, they would leave the dark forest and try to take over the realm.

One whistled. Rushing through the brush, the creatures raced towards a castle. The castle was a dark blue color, glowing slightly as the moon hit it. The tall, skinny creatures raced inside, slashing through any living thing they saw. A warrior droplet managed to stab one shade straight through the heart. It let out a scream of agony, a noise that was entirely otherworldly. The others surrounded their dead brother and killed the warrior. It fell to the ground, lifeless. The shades rushed into the throne room, where the queen and her brothers were ready to fight. The shades went straight for the throats of the elemental royals, but they were hit away with a harsh blow from a shadow creature. The ghost-like creature screamed, summoning many of its kind. They attacked the shades, who retreated for the night. The creatures would be ready to attack in another year, but for this Halloween, they were defeated. However, next Halloween, they wouldn't be alone. From the center of the dark forest, an evil Elemental looked at his droplets. Clouds covered the moon as lightning stuck. Thunder crashed as an evil laugh shook the forest.

"I have finally found their weakness. Next Halloween, moon kingdom, you will be mine!"
