Its Riptide by Vance Joy. We would blast this song anywhere we went and  request it when we went to Bowling Alleys and Rollerblading Rinks.

This next paragraph is a bit of a rant, so heres your warning.

We were close since we were 8. I'll call her C. Her parents were always very controlling. They thought our other best friend was a bad influence simply because she was older and more mature, but this older friend is probably one of my closest friends now. We never talked about the older friend because my C's mom would get upset. C's parents thought I was amazing and a wonderful influence. C got a boyfriend, L, last year, and that's when it started going downhill. Her boyfriend was a crush I had for a short time while trying to get over my crush on E (the H.S. impression guy I really like) Anyway, they broke up during quarantine because he was interested in her other neighbor, C's other best friend. C and I were neighbors, so naturally I helped her through all the rage, sadness, and confusion. Well, then the groupchat with all our friends from school had a big fight because C had 4 people over (so 5 total) out of our 10 person friend group over for a pool party/hang out. I wasnt invited,  but I could care less. Well, I moderated the argument, and then C just vanished. She wouldnt answer my texts, hung up when she realized I called, and just kinda vanished from my life. I dont know what I did wrong. I dont even know why I miss her. She was a sh*tty friend sometimes. We always did what she wanted when she wanted. But  I miss her.
