Does anyone remember that Rise of the Guardians phase I went through (last book I think?) where I just constantly drew the Nightmares from the movie?

Ah well, I'm sure a few of you do.

But ye. I decided to read the Guardians of Childhood books again (pretty lit books tbh) and remembered these beautiful and perfect little shadow horsies so I had to sketch some out real quick.

I still think they look amazing.

Why do so many antagonists from movies/games/books always have something to do with black, inky, shadowy types of things?
I mean it's cool and all I just wonder.
