I tried taking a picture of the sun

It looks like a picture of some far off galaxy, not the sun.

Also I'm missing school for this thing.
Worth it.

Honestly I couldn't stand being at school for it. We were gonna be outside for six minutes to watch the main part of it and then we would be inside again.

And like. No offense to kids at my school. But they don't know anything about the eclipse.
Like seriously.

"Why do we have to watch it?"

"It isn't such a big deal. This is stupid."

"Why do we need to wear the glasses? I thought the sun was gonna be covered!"

"No, a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse are the same thing! They only happen like every thousand years or something."

I'm not even joking.
I have heard all of those things at school.
And it's sad.
It's so sad.
It physically hurt me.
I don't think I've ever cringed and wanted to scream so badly.

Like seriously.
A solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse are so different.
And I don't think any of them know what an annular eclipse is.
We have solar eclipses about every two years, not every hundred.

I need to give a lecture at school to educate those poor, hapless noodle children.

That's what they are.
