One Man's Trash...

Cyber walked around the abandoned room, he hadn't been here for years. It back, that first time he visited it was when he was five. It brought so many memories, finding scraps and creating his own little inventions. Hiding in here to ditch training, to read a book, hang out with Metal, or just to simply be alone.

He stopped the habit around seven years old, he was demanded more often and training became fully essential. But now, six years later, here he was again. He wondered what he would find.

Nothing stood out at first, old prototypes of Orbot and Cubot without an AI, a few defective badniks, scraps of metal. What did I use to love about this place? He shrugged, guessing he outgrew it, or the fights changed him. A little disappointed, he started to turn for the door.

Perhaps he would return for the science of old robots or the solitude. Maybe if he found a book then this would be a perfect place to read it. He felt his foot kick something.

"I'm sorry!" He stepped back, out of habit he did this. It didn't really matter in here, but out there he occasionally hit a badnik unintentionally.

He tried to diffuse the situation by apologizing before it started chattering at him like usual. Then he realized the robot wasn't active.

"Well, that was embarrassing..." He muttered, seeing it's small. black body limp on his foot. He picked it up and saw it was rather light, maybe it could fly? It wore boots and gloves. He shook it to see if it would wake up, nothing.

"Well, hello." He sat down, memories flooded back. He would sit down and start observing his find, like a kid who got a new toy. He saw it was more life like than other robots. He noticed the mouth, in a little frown, maybe it ate.

"What happened to you?" He lifted it up gently and saw only a few scratch marks, nothing that could've deactivated the robot by damage.

It looked like it used to be a little pampered in it's life, the other part was dealing with Sonic, and explosions. Many. Maybe he got too close to an explosion or there was internal damage.

Clearly he hadn't met this robot before, this was probably from the time before he was introduced.

Eggman mentioned a small time before, Metal was deactivated at the time so he couldn't witness it. And Metal was also left behind, he recalled. He always assumed it was just at a different base, but this could mean a whole new planet.

There was a timeline then. The time after the first few fights with Sonic, something happened, the robot lived in that span of time, it ended, Metal Sonic was reactivated and he was created.

Now he recalled why he went back here, to put together a past. Now he knew more about what happened before him.

He looked at it, lifelike, he guessed it was a prototype of him. But this was way too small to be one. Maybe Eggman made him and got the idea of creating Cyber off of that?

He pat it's head, it could be involved with his creation, indirectly like Shadow did. Shadow inspired Eggman to create a better of him and here he was, the true ultimate lifeform.

He stood up and held it close, this was coming with him. He used to carry a backpack when he did this kind of thing when he was younger, but in his carelessness he didn't bring it along.

Now he had to carry it. He thought about what he'd do with it, he had an X-ray he could use to scan it. Maybe he could see more about this creature. He saw a small dog tag on it.

"Bokkun." He whispered. "Nice name."

If Bokkun was trash in Eggman's eyes, he's treasure in mine.
