(22) Three Became Two

🚨SEMI-INTENSE CHAPTER AHEAD!!!!🚨

Thank you so much for 10k!

I love you guys! I'm making this chapter longer as a thank you!🥺❤️

Past, No One's POV

A baby boy with his mother's raven hair was born in the early morning of October 5th.

"There's two more!"

Mrs. Miya gripped her husband's hand and let out a cry of pain.

Another baby came out and he had raven hair.

However, when the second child came out, it wasn't moving or breathing.

The boy was silent as the doctors cut his umbilical cord and took him to an area to pump oxygen into his lungs.

He wasn't breathing.

"Will he be okay?" Mr. Miya asked the doctor worriedly as the nurses moved at speeds to try and save the child's life.

"Ma'am, you still have one more!"

And thus, the youngest Miya was born.

At first, he wasn't breathing either.

The parents looked at each other with worry, not knowing if their children were going to make it.

"What the hell?"

About half an hour later, the upsetting news was spoken to the new parents.

"I'm sorry, Mr and Mrs. Miya...we weren't able to save the second son..."

Mrs. Miya's eyes watered. "What...?"

"When we ran the tests on...your son, he seemed to have been tied up in the umbilical cord and his brother-the first one-might've had something to do with it since his head was dented. We hypothesize that the first son might've kicked him by accident."

"What about our youngest?"

"He's alright, but you need to be very careful with him. We'll put him in the ICU until two days have passed to make sure he's okay."

When the couple left the hospital, Mrs. Miya looked at the oldest son with brown eyes with disgust and hatred.

Her husband went to the bar to drink away his problems.

She left him outside in the pouring rain, while she went inside with the youngest triplet. "You're not even my son. You killed your brother."

The oldest baby's name was Atsumu Miya and at just two days old, he was already the unwanted triplet-now twin.

He was crying, cold and unhappy, as the rain pelted him.

Hours passed before something happened.

The baby's screams and cries only grew louder as the hours ticked by.

A man with blonde hair and amber eyes was visiting the Akagi household when he heard screams coming from the porch of the Miya residence.

He noticed how the house was dark and not a single security guard was by the entrance to the old mansion.

He opened the iron gates and shivered at the cold.

"What the hell?" He left the porch to his brother's house and walked in the rain to the porch where he saw a baby in nothing but a diaper in a box filled with newspapers outside the house.

There was a name witten on the

He picked up the child from the box, Atsumu immediately calming down, but tears running down his pale skin.

The blonde man knocked on the door, but no one responded.

No guards were around near the Miya mansion.

"Don't worry, I'm going to keep you warm." The man covered the baby from the rain and walked into his brother's house.

"Whatcha holding, Dad?" A blonde with a deeper color of amber eyes asked his father.

The man's name was Tsukishima Izumi and his son's name was Tsukishima Akiteru.

"Oh my god...it's a baby." The mother who had (h/c) hair and (e/c) eyes lifted the child from her husband's arms. She was pregnant with triplets whose names would be (y/n), Kei, and Erika. "Shimizo, do you have any extra diapers?"

Akagi Shimizo was already a mother. Her son Michinari was sleeping upstairs in the crib. "That's a stupid question to ask me, Hila."

Tsukishima Hila glared at Shimizo but followed the raven-haired mother to the nursery, holding baby Atsumu carefully in her arms.

"What kind of parent leaves their kid at someone's doorstep in a box full of newspapers?" Akagi Akito asked Izumi

Izumu shrugged. "I have no idea. Maybe the poor guy's parents couldn't take care of him or something."

"But why drop it off at the Miya household?" Akito wondered. "We all hear the shouts coming from those two."

Hours later, around midnight, there was a knock on the door.

Akito opened it and saw Mrs. Miya outside. "Can I help you?"

"You have the brat. My husband wants him back."

"Hey! That's our son, you bitch!" Mr. Miya spat.

It was clear they just had a fight and Mr. Miya was drunk.

"I-"

"Listen. We just want the kid back."

Shimizo didn't feel comfortable giving the baby back to his clearly unstable parents, but what choice did they have?

Mr. Miya was a world-wide famous buisnessman and his wife was an uprising lawyer.

The parents gave one last look at the Akagi and Tsukishima families before heading back home, the door closing behind them and the porch light turning off.

As the years went by, Akito took special notice of Atsumu, knowing how he was probably neglected by his parents since he craved attention.

While the Miya family paid attention to Osamu, both Atsumu and Osamu were treated as one of Akito's own whenever they would come over.

The second baby, the one who died, wasn't given a name.

He became a hidden family secret that only the Miya parents and the doctors and nurses in the hospital room knew about.

Reader POV

Anata no inai genshoukai

Daremo yomenai karute

Jiishiki afuredashite

I wrote across the notebook, unable to do anything else.

Shinsuke had left me in my room for the night, each of them kissing me goodnight.

And yes, I had to wash my face regardless of the germs.

Kobo curled up on the foot of my bed as it was his rightful place.

And it was.

At least I can trust Kobo not to hurt me unlike these people.

I put the notebook down and curled up in my bed, allowing my thoughts to linger at random topics that just resurfaced in my mind.

Then I remembered Shinsuke telling me to look in the top left drawer since he and the others left gifts for me.

I opened it and saw a beautiful box with my name on it.

Tsukishima (y/n)

Inside the box was something that startled me.

I picked it up and indeed, it was what I thought it was.

Flashback

"Kei! Kei!" I jabbed my brother's cheek.

Snow swirled outside and he let out a sneeze and glared at me.

"Whatcha want, (n/n)? Mommy said not to come here!"

"I don't care! You're sick and I want to make sure you're not bored!"

Erika nodded beside me.

"Well, Mommy's going to get mad if you don't leave-"

The door opened at that exact moment to reveal my mother holding a tray of food.

"(y/n)! Erika! What did I just tell you!" She put down the tray and scooped us up.

"But Mommy-!"

"You know the rules. If anyone is sick, you stay away from them until they're all better!"

I pouted as she placed us down on the floor outside Kei's large bedroom. "But we just wanted to give him something so he isn't bored!"

"Alright, give it to me and I can give it to him. Next time, please don't disobey me." Our mother took the coloring books and crayons Erika and I had in our hands. "And go wash your hands before you go eat dinner with Akiteru."

"Daddy's not home yet?" Erika asked.

"No. His flight got delayed in Singapore due to a hurricane. He'll be home sometime this week."

Erika and I did as our mother instructed knowing it was better to just keep quiet and not argue with her.

We knew that since our father had argued with her and due to the stress, Mommy was put into the hospital wing since she was recieving pain from our little sister Mizuki in her stomach.

Akiteru noticed how glum we looked as we ate dinner in the beautiful and large dining room.

"What's up with you two?" He asked.

"It's...it's lonely here," I confessed, Erika nodding.

Our nanny spoke before Akiteru could. "Well, you three should count yourself lucky. Your parents work very hard to provide you a privileged life."

I saw her blue eyes glimmer with hidden malice.

"Hey, Miss Reiji?" Erika tugged her sleeve. "Where's your son? When can we meet him?"

"Oh, Ren's still in the hospital. I won't be able to take you two to meet him since he's a sickly boy," Miss Reiji explained. "But I'll let Ren know you were thinking about him."

Akiteru noticed how she was staring at my (birthstone) necklace with fascination.

"Is that a real (birthstone)?" Miss Reiji asked me, wiping my mouth from the soup.

I nodded proudly. "Yeah! Mommy gave it to me! Erika has the same one with her name and Kei also has one, though it's more of a pendant than a necklace for him. Same concept."

"Hm...well you three best start your homework. Miss Susan will be here tomorrow to review geometry with Akiteru, and you two will be reviewing grammar rules and probably number sequences."

"Yes, Miss Reiji!"

In the night, I heard the door open and a pale light enter the room following a cloaked figure.

"Hello?" I sat up and they jumped in surprise.

"Mistress (y/n), you should be asleep," Miss Reiji said to me as she turned on the light.

"What were you looking for?"

She tucked me back into bed. "Just a pin. I forgot it here earlier. I didn't mean to wake you up."

"Okay..." I turned back around and heard the drawer close.

"Ah, I knew I saw it here." Miss Reiji's footsteps disappeared and the door closed behind her.

A week passed and Miss Reiji had to quit her post as our nanny since she had to move away.

"We'll miss you," my mother hugged her tightly as the rest of us did the same.

Kei was all better and he also hugged her.

"I will miss you as well," she said.

I then felt something in her pocket and it felt like it was a fork.

When she was bringing her things down, I saw how she left a small pack in her room located next to mine.

"Miss Reiji!" I called, lugging the bag behind me.

Then I tripped and the bag fell.

I saw it was open a bit and inside the bag were some linens and silverware.

But what piqued my interest was a pearl necklace.

"(y/n)!" Miss Reiji came rushing up the stairs and snatched up the bag. "You should be more careful."

"But I was just trying to help you!"

Miss Reiji sighed and patted my head. "I know. Trust me, you've done more than enough to help me. Thank you."

I looked at her with confusion and watched her leave, my father arriving home at the exact same moment and he closed the door behind Miss Reiji as she got into the awaiting car.

But hours later, I could hear shouts.

"Where's my necklace?"

"Where'd the silverware go?!"

People rushed about and then my brother said something.

"Ne, Dad?"

My father looked down at his eldest. "What is it, Akiteru?"

"Miss Reiji...I saw her wearing Mother's satin gloves earlier when leaving and (y/n) said she came into her room a week ago."

My father closed his eyes. "So my suspicions were correct." He pulled out his phone and spoke rapidly in English to someone.

"What's going on?" I ran after him as he power walked to the room where Miss Reiji stayed when she wasn't taking care of my siblings and I.

"I believe we have a thief on our hands."

Another week later, Miss Reiji's body was discovered in the pond about 100 kilometers away from the Tsukishima mansion.

All the missing items were returned to us, except the necklaces.

Including my (birthstone) necklace.

End of Flashback

I held up the necklace and it glimmered in the moonlight.

"So I was right. Miss Reiji's son is indeed Omimi Ren. Makes sense since they look so much alike."

Well, at least Ren returned the necklace to me along with the other stuff that wasn't returned to us before.

I wonder what happened to Miss Reiji?

The next day, I questioned Ren about it.

"I don't know," he confessed. "My mother just so happened to have a huge wad of cash with her and was able to pay my hospital bills for the next fourteen years if I needed it. Thankfully, I got better and the rest of the money is more than enough for me to live off off for years."

"How much are we talking?" Atsumu asked. "Billions?"

"Billions," Ren confirmed. "And it wasn't just..."

"Hold on, Miss Reiji?" Osamu thought deeply. "Tsumu, do you think...?"

Atsumu nodded, a scowl on his face. "We also had a nanny named Miss Reiji who took Wednesday, Friday, and Sundays off."

"The same days she would take off for us since she only worked Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at the Tsukishima mansion," I finished.

"And that would make sense since a lot of family heirlooms went missing when Miss Reiji left," Osamu said. "But what happened to the rest of the money? Everything stolen from our families is equivalent to about half a trillion USD, or 500 billion USD."

"Holy shit..."

"Wow, just how rich are your families?" Aran sweatdropped.

"Obviously really fuckin' rich," Kiyoomi spat. "Otherwise, they wouldn't attend Inarizaki and make bets involving billions of yen."

Everyone ignored him and Shinsuke smacked his side.

"You shouldn't curse so much, Sakusa Kiyoomi."

"Leave Oomi-Oomi alone," Atsumu waved his hand in the air. "But Ren, why did you mother-"

"If I knew, I'd tell you why," he said. "She disappeared and then a week later, she's murdered. How the hell-"

Shinsuke gave him the 'mom-glare'.

"How the heck am I supposed to know?"

Rintarou spoke up, his voice somewhat quiet. "I think I can answer that, though you three won't like it,"

The twins and Michinari looked at Rintarou with confusion.

"So basically the night Omimi Reiji was found dead, my father, Mr. Miya, and Mr. Akagi all came to my place covered in blood and celebrating stuff. I heard them say stuff like 'thank god that thieving bitch is dead' and of the like."

"So what you're saying is your parents are all friends of sorts?" Kiyoomi asked. "But-"

"This does make a twist," Shinsuke folded his hands. "And that makes sense as to why our parents were all eager on us meeting some way or another. They're probably planning something. Regardless as long as they don't touch (y/n), we're fine."

Everyone's auras in the room became deadly.

"We'll make sure no one harms you except us," Atsumu said as he placed a hand on my shoulder. "And we'll never ever let you go no matter how low we have to stoop."

Uh...yeah. We're adding on a new twist.

Let's see if I can hurt your brains again after the Mafia [yandere] Tsukishima book :D

I definitely didn't make the Miya twin's backstory the same as my yandere Atsumu story for my own laziness-but it will make sense! Have fun reading that book if you do end up reading it.
