Chapter 6
I woke up to a text from Hyuna, again. I got up out of bed and ate breakfast with Jimin, texting during our meal. Hyuna is awfully demanding of my attention. While he did the dishes, I rushed to my room to prepare for my date.
After staring at the clothes in my closet for four years, I finally made up my mind on what to wear. Quickly, I put on a pair of jeans, an olive green t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. I rushed to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, washed my face and styled my hair. I decided to add some minor accessories: a gold ring on my left index finger, and a gold bangle on my right wrist. To top it off, I put some black eyeliner on. It really brings out my eyes.
I checked myself out in the mirror and damn do I look hot. Ten out of ten, I would bang. I traced my bottom lip with my thumb in the mirror. Suddenly, Jimin's reflection appeared beside me.
"Where are you going," he asked in a cheery voice. Oops, I forgot to tell him about my date with Hyuna.
"Hyuna wants to go to the park."
"Oh, okay, I'll get ready then!" he spun around on his heel and took just one step forward before I stopped him. I firmly held onto his shoulder.
"I kinda, um, need to, uh, go," I paused, unsure of how he'll take this. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes briefly, and then started over. "Jimin, I'm going to go by myself today," I told him.
I could see his muscles tense, and then relax almost immediately. "Understood," he gave me a nod and half-smile. I smiled back. Once he left the bathroom, I spritz some cologne on. I slid into some converse and left my room.
I unlocked the front door and was about to leave the house. Then I remembered I haven't said goodbye to my best friend! How could I forget!? I speed-walked to my room and opened my mouth to speak, but he wasn't there. The door to the bathroom was closed, though. I beg he's in there, so I'll wait.
To: Hyuna
Be there soon :*
I waited by the door for a while. I checked my phone to see exactly how long... seven minutes. Really?
I knocked twice and then spoke loudly so that I could be heard through the door, "Hey Jimin, I'm gonna leave."
Clank! "Oh, uh, I th-thought you already left," he said awkwardly, followed by an awkward laugh. What was that noise? Was it metal? What is he doing in there?! I don't have time to poke my nose in his business, though.
"You okay in there," I asked, concerned.
"Huh? Oh, um, yeah," he said weirdly. Something is off... His tone changed to that usual, happy tone he always uses, "I mean, of course! Just shitting is all!"
"Alright, buddy. Good luck with that," I laughed and left.

"Hoseok!"
"Hey, Hyuna," I smiled and gave her a big hug. "Let's walk," I suggested. She smiled and nodded vigorously. Before we took our first steps, I slid my hand into hers.
The park has a sidewalk that goes in a circle for people to walk or run on. In the middle of that is a grassy field. It is a beautiful park even though there's no trees.
We walked and we talked about ourselves for a while, getting to know each other more. Eventually, she got tired of walking. Apparently her feet hurt or some shit, so we sat down in the grass. I watched the other people walking by while she blabbed in my ear.
"Hoseok," she said, suddenly laying her hand on my knee. I looked down at her hand, then over at her face.
"Hmm?"
"I really, really like you," she said shyly, looking away from me. Her hand didn't move, though. I smiled and rested my hand on top of hers. Her cheeks tinted pink at my action.
"I think I like you as well," I said calmly. I'll admit, she's not everything that I look for in a woman, but I feel a little something for her. Maybe it's just her looks, I don't know. "How about you be my girlfriend," I suggested smoothly.
Her smile grew big before she squealed, "Yes!" She clapped her hands together excitedly. I stared at her with a very serious expression until she noticed me. Then, I smiled and kissed her pink lips gently while caressing her cheek.
Soon, the sun began setting, so I decided it was time to take her home. I wouldn't want to keep her out past curfew. Once again, she invited me inside. Once again, I declined.

I returned to a loud household. My parents and sister were watching a drama on the television while muffled, but very loud, music was playing behind the closed door to my room. He must be dancing.
I smiled at the thought of my cute little friend dancing to his heart's content. Dancing makes him happy, which makes me happy. I decided to eat an apple before making my way to the dance hall, also known as my room.
I walked in and, sure enough, he was dancing. It wasn't the fun dancing I usually see from him. No sir. His dancing was serious. He focused hard on his moves. I can tell by the face he's making. His expression showed determination.
He was drenched in sweat. You would think someone had just poured a big ass bucket of water on him. He was wearing red basketball shorts and a light grey hoodie, so I can see why he would be sweating so much.
I watched him dance his heart out for a while. Did he not notice me walking in? I decided to take my jacket off and join him. Immediately, he noticed me. The song and his movement were stopped immediately. I pouted.
"Oh, hyung, you're back," he said breathlessly. There wasn't much enthusiasm in that voice of his. This makes me sad. "How did it go?"
"It went pretty good," I replied happily. He nodded. "Oh, and speaking of good, I have good news!" Jimin lifted an eyebrow. I smiled real big before making my announcement. "We're an official couple now!" The expression on his face never changed. His face was frozen. Weird. He hugged me tight.
"Congrats man," he said weakly and patted my back gently before letting go. Thing is, I wasn't ready to end the hug, ugh. He wiped his eyes, "Ah, it burns!"
I got anxious once I heard him sniff. Is he fucking crying!? "Are you okay," I asked.
"Stupid fucking sweat got in my eyes!" He rubbed them again.
Pfft. I thought there was actually something wrong. I laughed and rolled my eyes. It's his own damn fault.
"Pabo! If you didn't dance in a hoodie, you wouldn't be sweating like a damn hog." I flicked his forehead teasingly.
He shrugged and gave me a smile. Something wasn't right about his smile, though... It didn't reach his eyes.
