"Why are you telling me this?"

"Honestly?"

"Yes,"

''Because I love you''. Chat thought.

"I don't know. I just like fun facts," he lied. Ladybug knew that wasn't it, but she didn't push it. She nodded and they stood here, looking at the river for a few more minutes.

"We should go home," she put a hand on his shoulder and he nodded. He sighed and followed. Ladybug and Chat came to Marinette's home and she undid her transform, while he lied on her bed and picked up the book again.

"You didn't eat any cookies," Marinette said, when she saw still full plate of cookies.

"I don't feel like eating," she lied beside him, taking the book away from him, hearing a groan from him. "I didn't look on which page I was,"

"On page 173," she said simply, while turning to him.

"Go to sleep," she said and started climbing off the bed. She hoped he would pull her back and they would cuddle just as they did last night.

But nothing came. She sadly sighed as she went preparing herself for bed too.

"What's wrong, Marinette?" Tikki asked her as she lied on the uncomfortable thing. Light snores were heard from Chat and she knew he was sleeping.

"I should be worrying about Adrien, but insted all I can think about is Chat," she wispered sadly. "Like I can't even think about anyone than him anymore,"

"He is sleeping in your bed right now and you're taking care of him," Tikki said.

"Yes, but Adrien is my friend and he's missing. And not a thought crossed my mind about him all day," Marinette sighed.

"Maybe it's time you move on," Tikki smiled at her. Marinette sighed. Did she want to fall for that alley cat?

--------------------------

The next day she didn't want to get up, just like any other. She did anyways, tried to get ready as quiet as she could and checked on Chat, who was still sleeping.

She saw the blanket fell off him, so she put it back and covered him up to his chin.

His messy hair was falling over his mask, his ears were tight at his head. Just like a real cat.

She smiled at the cat boy infront of her and before she knew she was late again. How long was she staring at him?

She shook off the thought and ran to school. She bursted into French class and Miss Bustier knew this was normal for Marinette, so she just said she needed to catch up.

She just nodded and went sitting by her best friend.

The class was soon over so she just went to another. Alya wasn't in that class, but Nino was so they sat together.

"Any news on Adrien?" Marinette sadly asked, as Nino shook his head.

"I miss my man, you know," he sighed. "It's not the same without him,"

Marinette knew how he felt. She missed him too. "Where is he?"

"Do you think he'd been kidnapped?!" Nino exclaimed and basically all the eyes were on them.

Marinette nervously chuckled and looked all of them. "Nino's DJ-ing anew song called 'he'd been kidnapped!' and we're trying to make it better," she tried lying. All of them didn't really care for them so, they went back whatever were they doing before.

"Can. You. Shut. Up?" Marinette said though closed teeth.

Nino lowered his head and muttered an apology. Only Nino, Alya and her knew about Adrien missing and that's how they wanted it to stay.

They didn't talk much after that, they actually listened to what the teacher was saying.

School ended and Marinette was more than happy to go home.

"Sweetie, your dad and I are going away for a few days. We're going to grandma's for the secret recipe. You know?" Sabine said. "Do you want to come with us?"

"Maman I'd rather say home. You know school and stuff ..." Marinette said, hopefully convincing her parents. Both of them looked at her suspiciously, but nodded anyway.

"When are you going?" Marinette asked. Sabine told her they were going as soon as they finish baking all the bread they had in the oven. They asked her if she could close up the shop and she agreed.

Marinette excused herself and went back to her room. She checked on Chat and saw he was shaking. He was covered up to his chin, just as she left him, but he was shaking.

"Chat," she shook him. He opened one of his eyes and looked at her.

"I-I don't feel a-alright," he said, trying to control his shaking, but failing at it.

"Try to warm yourself up. I'll be right back," she pressed a quick kiss on his forehead.

"What was t-that for?" he asked, looking at her with a 'almost' smirk.

"I-I..." really why did she do that? "I tried to figure if you have fever," she lied. He nodded and wrapped himself in the blanket even more. "And yes. You're hot,"

"Why thank you, Princess," he said. She looked him with a dead look and he chuckled a little.

"Tikki, go to Master Fu. Ask him if this could affect Plagg in any way," Marinette said to her kwami. She nodded and went right away.

Marinette ran downstairs and started making tea. She poured it in two cups, before taking one upstairs to Chat.

"Hey, kitty cat," she caressed his back. He moved in sitting position and she handed him the cup.

"Thank you, Princess," he said.

Tikki flew back in through the window and stared at Marinette.

"Fu said he's going to be okay. Plagg's sickness is effecting Adr..-Chat," Tikki nearly said his name.

"So, when I get better, so will Plagg?" Chat asked and Tikki shook his head.

"Not necessarily," she said. Both of the teens looked weirdly at her. "You see, you get only a part of Plagg's sickness,"

"It's going to be okay," she rubbed his shoulder. She sat next to him and looked at him. He took a sip of the tea.

"It's hot," he complained.

"I'll make a note to make it in the fridge next time," she said as she started to climb off the bed.

"I-I'm sorry," he sighed. "Thank you,"

"I didn't mean it for real. Calm down," she smiled at him.

"Also, my parents are leaving for a few days so we can take care of you properly," he nodded, giving Marinette the cup and lying back. She covered him with her blanket.

"I'm going to go help parents in the bakery. If you need something tell Tikki and she'll come get me," she said, before exiting her room.

Chat's head hit a pillow and sighed. He didn't want to cry, so he didn't.

"She cares about you a lot," Tikki said. Chat looked at her. He stopped shaking, because the tea warmed him up.

"I know. And I feel like I'm using her kindness," he said, feeling guilty.

"Don't think that," Tikki sat down on his chest, looking him right in the eye. "She would help anyone if they needed it,"

"I don't deserve her," he wispered to himself, but Tikki heard anyway.

"Adrien, you deserve her, just as much as she deserves you," Tikki said, pressing herself to his cheek, giving him some sort of hug.

"Thank you, Tikki. It means a lot,"

Hope you didn't get your hopes up too much ;)

Also a lot of people asked me how I'm updating everyday. I usually complete the story, before publishing it so yeah I have all the chapters already written down. I usually write between the weekends or holidays.

If you want I can update less ;)

Also since I have all written down I got a new idea I just might write. Tell me if I should write it or should I wait for this story to come to an end?
