WE ARE EVEN MATCHING.

"How's this.?" I asked.

As of now, we were sitting in my favorite boutique. I was trying on some dresses picked by my mom. Liv was out searching for some dresses for herself.

"Lavender doesn't suit you. I should have known. It suppresses you hair colour." My mom commented and I went back inside the changing room to get back in my clothes.

This time I decided to pick something myself. Just then a dress caught my eye, or more like its colour caught my eye. I picked out the dress. It was midnight blue long dress, with off the shoulder sleeves and thin straps connecting the front of the dress to the back which was low.

However, the neckline was low enough to show some cleavage and still look sophisticated. The silhouette was pretty simple, with slit running down the left mid-thigh. The dress was all over simple with just a thin high waist black belt.

"Okay, I think this one looks too good on you. You should totally get it." Liv commented. She was standing totally empty handed beside my mom.

"I was thinking the same. I'm going to get this dress for the party. Now how about we look around for some other dresses too." I said.

"This boutique has good collection. I think I'm gonna look around a bit too." My mom said.

After about an hour, all three of us were walking out of the store with our hands crammed with shopping bags and a store attendant was walking behind us with my dress in a cover.

"Oh, this was fun. I should visit Seattle more often. How I missed shopping with you darling." My mom said from the back seat as I was driving to the restaurant.

"I know mom, me too. But you still have your friends there to shop with." I teased her.

"Yeah, I do. But it is not the same as it is with you. You are my daughter." She said placing a hand on my shoulder.

"You won't believe Mrs.Parkinson. The kind of wild shopping sprees we used to have when we were in college. I have the best shopping memories with her and only her." Liv was beaming at me.

"Oh Olive, I told you to call me Elsa. And yes, I have heard all about the wildness you both had in college. Kinda reminds me of my own college days." She said, smiling at both of us.

"Well, now stop talking about my wild college days, both of you. I've embarrassed myself enough today." The scene from this very car, a few hours earlier came back to my mind and I blushed.

Liv gave me her famous 'side glance, raised brow, you better spill the beans' look. I could never hide anything from her. She reads my expressions like a book. I just smiled at her, knowing I would have to tell her everything.

We kept on chatting until we reached the restaurant. It was a small and cozy restaurant that Liv and I used to visit often. The owner was a lady who was too kind for her own good, and the sushi here was absolutely delicious.

We were halfway through our dinner when my mother decided to start her 'When are you going to find a boy to settle down with' rant.

"You must remember Elain, your junior from Stephen's High. She is getting married next month." She said.

Me and Liv exchanged a wary glance.

"And.?" I urged her to go on.

"And nothing. I was just telling you. You know she is just 23."

"Yeah, I remember that too. And mother, I know what you are trying to hint at." I replied, giving an exaggerated raised brow.

"Why don't you find a boy to settle down with too. Atleast, get yourself a boyfriend. See, Liv is so happy with her man too. Everyone is, except you." My mom said, now dragging Liv too in this conversation.

Liv was grinning wide, triumphant.

"Mom, when I find someone whom I love, ofcourse I will settle down with him and have a huge wedding and a lot of kids for you to play with. But for right now, stop pestering me mom." I replied throwing my head back.

"Okay okay. I should have sent you to Julliards given your acting skills." She said, shaking her head.

I just grinned back at her. Rest of the dinner went on without any more mention of my non-existing love life. However, I found myself smiling and blushing remembering the incident from few hours back in my car.

My mother did not notice all my smiles, but I saw Liv looking at me with a same smile plastered on her face too.

It was 11.45 by the time we were back in my apartment. I dropped mom at the hotel and drove myself and Liv back to our apartment. I was exhausted by now, and just wanted to sleep cuddled up in my bed.

"I'm not going to ask you today, but you are soon going to tell me all about why you were all smiles and blushes today the next time I see you." She said playfully.

"Ofcourse I'm gonna tell you everything even if you dont ask. But was that about the next time we see each other.?" I asked her.

"Alex is taking me to his parent's place for the weekend. We will be back Sunday evening and maybe I'll spend the night at his place." She told me.

"Okay. Enjoy then. I'll see you on Monday then because tomorrow morning you will be gone before I even wake up. Goodnight."

"Goodnight." She replied and kissed my cheek before going towards her own room.

I dumped all the bags on the white couch in my room, changed out of my clothes and went straight to bed.

Next morning was just me rushing everywhere. By 10, Jase was at my apartment banging my door.

"Uuffff. Stop trying to break my door down, you know we have neighbors here. I don't know how Maureen accepted living with you. You are a caveman." I yelled as soon as I opened the door.

"Maureen loves me baby sister. And I was not trying to break your door down. Have you seen your phone recently.? And your next door neighbors are your next floor neighbors, so no worries." He said pushing me back inside the apartment closing the door behind him.

"Whatever. Why are you here.?" I asked him.

"I'm here to pick you up for brunch. Like a good brother." He said, smiling sweetly.

"Okay. I'll be ready in half an hour. Help yourself to whatever you want." I said getting inside my room. It took me almost half n hour to get ready.

"Lets go. I'm done. You know, you could have just messaged me the location and I would have drove myself there. I have a car that you so graciously gifted me." I said walking out of my apartment and towards the elevator.

"Yeah but mother told me to, and let me quote her, 'Go and pick up your little sister like a good big brother.' ." He said, mimicking our mother's voice horribly that resulted in me laughing.

And the rest of our car ride to the restaurant was filled with back and forth bantering. Ans so was the brunch. I bet my mom was sick of hearing about all the potential companies ripe for acquisition.

It was past noon by the time we were done eating and chatting. I had my 2'o clock appointment at the Spa-n-Salon.

"I think I should get going. I have my appointment at the salon in an hour. I'll see you guys at the party." I said getting up from my chair.

I kissed both of my parents on the cheeks and asked Jase to drop me at the salon.

I got my mani-pedi done. Then waxing and finally my hair, which took most of the time. I got my golden-blond highlights redone and fringes to frame my face.

I was home by almost 4'o clock. I decided to again have a shower, just to freshen up. Just as I was about hop in the shower, my phone rang. It was Trevor.

Just seeing his name on the screen brought up a blush to my face. I was blushing more since yesterday's events. I picked up the call as it was about to disconnect.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey. Are you driving yourself to the party today.?" He asked me.

"Yeah. Why.?" I asked, confused by his question.

"Okay then. Dont bother with your car. I'll come pick you up on my way there."

"Why is everyone trying to drive me around today.? First Jase, then the cab driver and now you. What is wrong with you men.?" I know I was not making any sense.

"Woah, Woah. Calm down. I was just asking you to be my date for the party. Don't take it the wrong way. I didn't want to offend you. Well, I didn't knew Jase was the gentleman kind." He said and I almost stopped breathing.

"Woah ho ho. Your date.?" I asked stunned.

"I just wanted to ask, its not important anyway if its so offensive for you." I could almost hear his embarrassment.

Trevor was not the kind to ask girls as a date to parties and definitely not the embarrassed kind of guy.

"No no. I didn't mean it like that. You just caught me off-guard. Any ways, you could come pick me up at say, 6.30. Good for you.?" I asked him.

"Perfect. I'll see you then." And he disconnected.

I dont know if the previous couple of minutes were real, or I just imagined them, but my smile was definitely real.

Trevor's POV

I was in front of her building at exactly 6.24, 6 minutes before time. I was definitely nervous, so damn nervous today. Yesterday's scene was playing in my head continuously, where I was almost about to kiss her. I could only imagine how her lips would have tasted and felt.

I got out of my car and walked towards the entrance to get her. By the time I was in front of her door, I had my stomach in knots. I knocked on the door and waited for her to open it.

It took her almost a minute to open the door, but when she did my jaw was touching the floor. There she stood in front of me in a simple yet elegant floor length midnight blue dress. Her hair carefully pinned away from her face, and her face with minimal makeup. She truly was a sight for sore eyes.

"You look good. Uhm, actually you look gorgeous." I stammered.

"Thank you. You don't look bad yourself. Hey, we are even matching." She said.

That's when I realized, I had the exact same shade of tie on as her dress. I gave her a huge grin in return.

"Shall we.?"

"Uuhhhh, can you wait a minute.? I just need to put on my sandals." She asked me.

"Yeah, sure."

She went back inside and came out a couple of minutes later. She had that confident air around her thst held people captivated, whenever she walked past.

I offered her my hand and she took it as we walked towards the elevator.

I just knew then, this was going to be the best evening of my life. She made me feel things no one has never done before.
