" Huh? Oh hey Professor! " Ash greeted the man as he was out of breath from running.

" Why.. Didn't you.... Tell me? " Oak asked, still out of breath.

" Didn't think it was important " the boy shrugged.

" Thats a horrible answer " the man stated.

" You didn't ask "

" Try again "

" I thought it would make for a great surprise? "

" You know what, never mind " the professor sighed. " I haven't talked to you in almost 3 months whats been going on? "

" I was busy trying to get everything approved for this competition " Ash stated.

" By the way nice battling " Oak said.

" Thanks, everyone's been working hard. " The boy replied.

" Pikachu sure showed that "

" Pikachu! " The mouse chimed.

" I'm just saying that you still should have told me that you were a champion " the Professor grumbled while crossing his arms.

" Uh....... Surprise! " Both Ash and Pikachu rapidly waved their hands with the palms facing outwards(JAZZ HANDS!!!!!).

" On another subject...um.....are you gonna talk to your mother? " Oak asked nervously.

" I don't see why I should " Ash faced his head away from the professor.

" She seems like she regrets it.....all of them do. "The old man continued.

" Yeah. I'm sure. " He said sarcastically.

" I just think I'd be good for everyone, plus Tracy hasn't seen you for so long, at least catch up with him. "

" I'm not sure "

" Come on whats the worst that could happen? "

" Do you want the list in alphabetical order or by whats most likely to come first. "

" Ash don't you think that a bit rude? "

" They started it. "

" Then you should end it, please just talk to them. " The professor tried to persuade him.

" You don't just let people walk all over you and get away with it " Ash replied.

" I know what you mean, but A- " Oak was cut off.

" One chance. Thats it. " Ash said " at 9:00 me and some others will be having dinner at a rented out lodging on the west side "

" We'll be there " he quickly replied.

" Alright, I have go right now but we'll catch up later " Ash said with a wave as he made his way back to the hotel.

The professor turned around and noticed something off about the plants that lined the wall. He walked up to them only to find a certain group of trainers along with an older woman hiding behind.

" May I ask what your doing? " Oak asked the group.

Tracy jumped up from his crouching position and looked the professor in the eye.

" Why didn't you tell me that you have been in contact with Ash! " He yelled.

" I've been worried sick about him! " Delis added, the others only nodded in agreement as they wondered and felt the same as the two.

" I was only respecting Ash's wishes " the old man replied.

" W-why would he want that? " Dawn asked.

" I wonder..... " The professor sarcastically whispered under his breath.

" We'll just have to ask him later at dinner! " Max cheered.

" Yeah! " The group ( except Oak )cheered.

With Ash and Pikachu

Ash glanced down at his watch and checked the time. 11:47 am. Guess the beginning ceremony didn't take that long, I thought we'd be stuck their till lunch. He though.

" Shall we bring Serena with us to grab something to eat? " Ash asked.

" Pika pikachu! " The yellow mouse agreed.

" Alright then, lets go! " He yelled.

With that the duo took off in the direction of the hotel.

Serena's POV

I was pacing back and forth in my room, holding two tickets in my hand.

" Should I just ask him or...... "

I want to take Ash with me to a festival they have a couple blocks away. After 3 days of the tournaments battles the have a two day break, the festival takes place then. He shouldn't exactly be busy so he might be able to go with me. All the others aren't going because you need to buy tickets to get in, since news went around about it all the tickets are now sold out.

" Hmmm "

I just feel so nervous about asking him. Its weird, Ash and I have been dating for a long time now and I still feel scared to ask him to go places with me. We haven't had much time to hang out with the competition and everything, I don't want to become a bother to him but I-

Knock, knock, knock

I run to my bed and shove the tickets under the blanket then make my way to the door. Once I open it I see Ash and Pikachu standing there.

" Oh hey Ash, Pikachu. What are you two doing here? " I decided to ask them.

" Pikachu pika pika chu pikapi " Pikachu said from his place on Ash's shoulder.

" Um...sorry...what did he say? " I directed my attention twords Ash to see if he knew.

" Oh, he says we're here to kidnap you! " Ash replied with a smile on his face.

" ..........what? " What do they mean by that?

" Come on! " He said as he grabbed my wrist and pulled me down the hallway.

" Where are we going? " I asked the duo. " And why did you say you were kidnapping me? "

" Pi pika chu ka pika pika " Pikachu answered.

I still had no idea what the mouse was saying. Ash took notice of the confused look on my face so he decided to translate it for me.

" You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. "

" Chu pika pika ka pikachu "

" Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law "

" Pikachu chu chu pika pika "

" You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. "

" First i get kidnapped and now I'm arrested for......? " I ask the yellow mouse.

Ash laughed as Pikachu tried to think of something.

" Pikachu? "

" Kidnapping? " Ash translated while laughing some more.

" But aren't you two the ones kidnapping me? " I questioned while we were riding in the elevator that was going down to the main floor.

The doors opened and we walked through the lobby.

" She's got you there, Pikachu " Ash told him.

" Pika.... " Pikachu sighed.

" Besides in Kalos she's innocent until proven guilty " Ash looked at me and smiled.

" So what are you really doing? " I asked.

We were now outside, parked by the side of the building was a black car with tinted windows. Ash, who was still holding my wrist, started to walk in the cars direction.

" Like we said " he opened the car door " kidnapping you "

With that he gave me a quick shove and I fell onto the back seats. He closed the door behind me and ran to the driver side. He opened the door and took out some keys from his pocket and put it in the ignition.

" You might wanna get your seat belt on " Ash said.

I quickly sat up and strapped myself in. Pikachu hopped on my lap as the car started to move forward.

A few minutes later Ash stopped the car infront of a really nice looking restaurant. He got out and went around to my side of the car and opened the door. He put his hand out and I grabbed it, after he pulled me out of the car I decided to ask him a question I already knew the answer too.

" Why are we here? "

He turns to look at me and says with a big smile

" You can't be kidnapped on an empty stomach "

With that we made our way inside.
