Upon arriving the group was thrilled to see that Ash and friends were able to push the Team Flare members into a clearing in the forest. The clearing was slightly on the side of a hill with rocks randomly sticking out from the earth.

Passing through the trees they tried to reach the area where all the battling was, but when they finally made it there something was wrong. Everyone had stopped giving commands as the Team Flare grunts ran off to the side, everyone else taking a couple steps back.

The ground was shaking a only a little but with every passing second it seemed to increase, some fell down from losing their balance. They all tried to grab onto something, whether it be the trees or the person beside them.

A bright white light appeared on team flares side and grew lager and closer within a split second and they were all sent flying backwards. The last thing the traitors remember is them making contact with the ground and after that everything went black.

--------------------------

" Ugh... " Misty groaned as she sat up and rubbed her eyes.

She looked around and took in her surroundings. Everything was almost pitch black, she assumed that she was out for a while. Since it was not completely black she could still see the outlines of the surrounding trees and her friends.

" Hey wake up! " She harshly whispered, shaking Brock back and forth.

He slowly sat up and held his hand on the back of his head.

" Jeez, what is it? " Brock asked.

" Help me wake everyone up! " Misty hissed.

The two of them were able to wake the rest of the group fairly quickly. Although it started to rain as they were waking the last of the people up.

" How long were we out? " Cilan questioned.

" Long enough for it to have already become night. " Delia sighed.

There was a flash of lightning followed by the roaring sound of thunder.

" Max... whats wrong? " May asked.

Max was just sitting on the ground looking through the trees with a terrified look on his face, he didn't even speak. He just pointed in the direction he was looking, his gaze still focus on whatever was there.

The group turned to look at where he was pointing, but it was to dark to see much more past the trees. Curiosity getting the best of them they started to walk in the direction Max was pointing.

With each step they could hear each other stepping through the water that was quickly collecting from the rain. May had helped Max stand on his feet and followed the rest of the group.

There was another flash of lightning and they were able to see what was there, but it might have not been what they were expecting.

A bit in the distance there was Ash standing with his left side to them, his wet hair shading his face. His clothes were torn and soaked in water and in his right hand he held a sword that glowed a light blue. There seemed to be something rapped around near the end of the blade, it dimmed the bright light of the sword. Whatever it was looked like it was dripping onto the ground, they didn't have enough time to take note of everything before the light the rain provided them sunk back into the darkness.

" Looks like their awake. " They heard a voice laugh.

They glanced to their right and saw Lysandre standing on top of a giant machine with a smug look on his face.

" W-w-whats going on? " Iris asked.

" Ash, what is all of this? " May yelled to the boy who still hasn't moved from his spot.

" Allow me to explain. " Lysandre started. " After the explosion we had created, you had blacked out, leaving the others to fight. Although it seems that things didn't seem to go according to their plans. "

There was a silence that the only sound was the rain as it came in contact with the ground.

" Not before long they had to return all their Pokemon. " He continued. " You see, this machine has the ability to control any Pokemon... or person. "

The group of traitors slowly shifted their attention to Ash who was standing still, not moving an inch.

As if on cue there was another flash of lightning with thunder close behind. With this they were able to get a better picture of the situation.

The Kalos elites and frontier brains along with Serena were spread out across the clearing. Their clothes soaked, not just with water but with blood as well. Lots of it. Some laid on their back while other were on their front, a couple of them still had their hand on what others would guess was their wound.

The grass was stained a dark red, the water carrying it somewhere else.

Blood covered the end of the sword that Ash held, his clothes were covered as well.

" There was no need to keep the others alive since in the end I gotten what I had wanted. " Lysandre shrugged. " Now, what should we do with you? "

" ... " They had no idea what to say.

" Ash, kill them as well. " Lysandre commanded.

They watched as Ash turned around to face them. His eyes slightly glowed red as he stared at them with an cold expression.

" A-a-sh? " Dawn stuttered.

" You won't do this, you just wouldn't, right? " Brock asked nervously.

" I can do what ever I want. " Ash muttered, his voice in a threatening tone.

He stepped towards them, the aura sword hanging at his side. There was a small breeze and without his hat, his hair was waving freely in the wind.

" Look Ash, this isn't you! " Cilan exclaimed.

" Isn't me? " Ash growled. " How would you know? You don't know anything about me! "

" Yes we do, your a kind hearted perso- " Misty began but was interrupted.

" But who says I always need to be kind? " He retorted.

The traitors were frozen in their spot as Ash took a couple strides, getting closer to them.

" I don't need to be anything, especially not what you wanted me to be! "

" Look Ash, we're sorry! " Delia cried. " We just thought that....that... "

" That I was weak? That I would just give up everything because you people told me too?! " Ash finished.

" We took things too far! " Brock admitted. " We didn't mean to hurt you! "

" Then just what was your intention? " He asked.

" We didn't want you to leave us again! " Max blurted out.

" Ironic how that worked out for you. "

" We weren't thin- " May began.

" Stop saying ' we ' ! One of your problems is that you don't act on what you think but instead its what everyone else thinks. Like their approval is more important than having confidence in yourself! " Ash yelled, looking down with his hair shading his face once again.

Ash had got closer to them as they were talking, a trail of blood followed behind him as it dripped of the sword.

" Its not like I truly care what you think, after all you won't be alive for much longer. " Ash silently laughed.

" Ash please... think about what your doing! " Brock pleaded and dropped to his knees, as did everyone else.

" Why? Its not like it'll change anything. " He replied.

" Sorry... " Max muttered, tears threatening to fall. " I'm really sorry! "

" Same! " the rest of them cried out.

" How do I know your not lying to me, trying to save your own skin? " Ash questioned.

" You don't! " Cilan yelled. " But you always take risks, no matter what it is! "

" You've always chosen to trust people, because you thought they deserve a chance! " Dawn added.

" And don't you think you ruined yours? " Ash commented. " I trusted and cared for you all, I really did and in that one moment everything was destroyed. You wanted me to give up on my dreams, while you all still followed yours. I was against fighting back because I thought that it wouldn't change anything, because unlike you I can tell whats wrong and whats right. "

Ash raised the sword so it crossed over to his left  shoulder. He was just a couple feet away from Brock, who was kneeling on the ground.

" So.... any last words? " Ash asked once he was right in front of him, a sinister smile formed on his face.

Brock couldn't move his gaze from the eyes that stared down at him, awaiting his answer. He sighed and let a tear fall down the side of his face before he answered.

" I guess there's nothing else to say. " he said and closed his eyes.

With that Ash raised the aura sword above his head and swung it down in a swift movement.

To be continued...

I might not be able to finish this story by the end of the weekend because I didn't know school found it funny to give me a shit-ton of homework.

On a random note I had a song stuck in my head all day, it turns out it was the song " Stupid Cupid " by some Connie person. I haven't heard that song in like a year or two, so I found that weird.
