chapter 5 | father
The sun was high in the sky, beaming heavily on a summer day in late August. Jungkook was on the football field, scanning the area, taking it all in.
Jungkook would've never guessed that he would try out for the football team. He didn't think of himself as the sports jerk type of guy.
However one would've never guessed it by his physique, because he surely looked like an athlete.
But Jungkook preferred the gym, boxing and other less team playing sports.
For the moment, however, the 20 year old needed something to keep him busy. Something that was not optional, like going to the gym. Something that required him to be at a certain place at a certain time. Something that he couldn't just skip, because he felt unmotivated.
Jungkook didn't like being alone. Usually when he was alone, he had trouble controlling his thoughts. Some good, mostly bad. Some of the memories he wanted to forget. Oh, how he wished he could forget what had happened in the past... but running away is not always as easy at it seems.
Jungkook learned that because even though he was now in college. Far away from home. This one memory still haunted him.
A coach and new team players were exactly what he needed to keep himself busy in college.
Jungkook never cared for football. The whole idea of having to be a team player didn't seem attracting to him.
But the boy had a natural talent for a lot of things. Cooking, he found out just recently for instance. And kicking a ball? How hard could it be.
And maybe, just maybe, he would turn out to like it.
Jungkook's buzzing back pocket made him zone back into reality.
He pulled out his phone from his pocket. A heavy sigh left his lips when he saw the caller ID.
It was his father.
"Jungkook, come on!" Someone called for Jungkook from the lane.
Said guy looked up and called back he would be there soon.
He didn't know the person, but it seemed as if Jungkook's name had spread around the school rather quickly.
Looking back down at his phone Jungkook clenched his teeth. He finally got away from home for a little while. He finally escaped of some sort. As long as the school wouldn't tell you that you had to go home, Jungkook had no interest in doing so.
And with clenched teeth and a rising headache, he stood for several seconds, watching the phone ring out until a notification of an unanswered call popped up on his screen.
Sighing, he relaxed his jaw and put the phone in his bag next to him, running out on the lane, joining the try out; something he just knew Jimin would laugh at him for when he found out.

There was no arguing the fact that Jungkook liked girls.
It was everything about them that just seemed so perfect. Like a gift made only for him.
From their legs to their asses, running his hand over their bellies, reaching for their breasts. All of it was so admirable, and he didn't even get to the lips yet. Oh how he loved the lips. Loved playing with them, loved making them swollen and not to mention the sounds he would make them do.
He was experienced with the female body to say the least.
But he never once disrespected it.
He might've made girls cry and even broken hearts.
But it was never his fault that he just couldn't catch feelings. It wasn't his fault that he loved girls too much to settle down... or maybe it was another reason.
He tried love once a year back. They were together for only a few weeks, almost reaching the famous one month anniversary, but never got quite there. Jungkook could not settle. He could not commit.
He was scared because all he knew was his parents' disastrous relationship. And he never wanted to become anything like his father.
Oh... and he got cheated on by his girlfriend.
That was the main reason they broke up, but Jungkook wasn't that hurt by it. He'd thought about ending it with her before that.
Which made him roll back into the spotlight of the dating life — or rather hooking life.
Jungkook was a fuck boy, but also knew about the boundaries, which was why he was thought so highly of by most girls. Note, most.
So it really messed with the boy's head when he found himself inside the same strip club Jimin and Taehyung had forced him to the day before college started. It really hurt his pride of being a guy that was in this right moment paying girls for entertainment.
He didn't even realize where his feet had dragged him until he sat down at one of the bar stools, searching the club for one specific girl.
And it didn't take long for his eyes to catch the sight of her on a pole.
In spite of how much Jungkook didn't want to be, he was indeed curious about Chayoung.
First of all, because she did not strike him as a girl to be a stripper. Not in the slightest. She seemed rather innocent in school. She always sat on some of the front rows in class and always brought her books. But maybe it was just a pretend?
Secondly, the girl was sassy. But sassy in a different way. Jungkook had never once had a girl seem so close-minded, absent and uninterested when he was around. Even when he tried seducing her on the first day before class, as he did with a lot of girls, she wasn't bothered by his low voice and breath against her ear. Perhaps, she was even disgusted.
Jungkook never figured if the girl actually felt scared, disgusted or if he just imagined things that day. And to be honest, he already forgot about it.
Jungkook turned and ordered a drink from the bartender. It was made quickly and Jungkook turned back around on the bar stool, leaning back onto the counter with his elbows and bringing the edge of the cups to his lips.
Chayoung was spinning around the pole for a while, sending winks and glances to the different men in front of the podium.
Fuck, Jungkook hated himself for sitting there and observing her. But he couldn't just not look. There was just something about that girl that made it almost impossible for him to stay away.
And it was a lost cause for Jungkook's morals when the girl stopped spinning, leaning against the pole and sliding down it slowly. The girl next to her was already in underwear only, but Jungkook never noticed because Chayoung brought her hand to the knot around her waist, untying it and letting the silk rope fall.
The room grew loud with claps and cheering.
But Jungkook was frozen.
Absolutely speechless. And his mouth dry even.
Chayoung's body was wrapped in a tight bodysuit. A black one, with flames on the side. It was open in the middle, exposing a lot but just protecting her nipples from showing. The fishnets she wore hugged her legs tightly and when she turned around it was all over.
Jungkook wanted to look away. Oh how his inner morals screamed at him to get the hell out. He hated himself for his wide eyes that traveled over her body and lingered on her ass for a bit too long.
"Fuck!" He grunted when he finally found the strength in him to look away.
Grabbing his glass with alcohol, he put it to his lips and downed it all.
He needed to walk away. He needed to leave. This was not right. He didn't come here to see the girl in lingerie, he came because he wanted to know more about her.
But really... what the hell did he expect? She was a stripper after all.
When Jungkook stood up, he glanced back at Chayoung one last time. But a shiver went through him when she looked back and their eyes met.
