chapter 5

How. How do you explain you just had someone die right in front of you not even a day ago? Thinking of what he had to say was bad enough, but the fact his own reputation was wavering on how the words these few messages may save, or destroy him.

'I can't today. I'm in the hospital.'

As much as he didn't want to admit it, he'd rather be with him than in this room. His mind slipped every now and then and into his own world, hoping that his imagination would somehow take over the fact that he sat between four walls, with no real escape. The section he was in was heavily guarded with security, in case a patient tried to jump from the window, or even tried to run out from their designated room.

Jungkook 😶: 'When are you gonna be out? I'll pick you up and we can get food or some shit. Then go over to my house.'

The idea of leaving the four walls keeping him imprisoned seemed great at first, but eventually, he forgot one thing. He doesn't live alone.

'I don't know, but you don't have to worry about picking me up.'

A nurse, that seemed like a volunteer walked in with a clipboard, and a pen, along with a man with a red coat, holding a calculator to most likely show him his overpriced hospital bill.

"The staff decided that you seem well enough to go home today, and that you don't need any psychiatric treatment for an extended period of time." The clipboard was then handed to him with a receipt attached to it.

'Thank god I can actually pay this off' For only staying overnight, it made him shudder over the fact the bill was this high, but without saying a word, he wired the money over to the man and grabbed his clothes.

"Wait, Mr. Park. May I speak with you for a moment before you leave?" The man had already left the room, leaving her, and Jimin in his nightgown alone.

"Sure, I guess so. What is it?" The thought of leaving behind these four, blank walls slipped away by the second.

"Don't you recognize me?" The whole atmosphere started to change, as her voice started to seem more flirtatious. "Don't you know who I am, Jimin?"

Still staring at her clueless, he shook his head, but due to the undertone of her voice, it was very clear she wanted something out of him.

"No, why are you asking me this?" He started to walk towards the bathroom door, only for her to grab him by the arm and forcefully turn him around.

"Because I want something out of you, Jimin." Her hands went straight to his face, caressing his cheeks with her thumb. "Just like a certain person wants something out of you.

His breath hitched in his throat, now giving her a very surprised yet angry look. "What do you know."

"I'm a bartender at your club, the one across the street from 소공동?" Since when? Jimin wasn't necessarily new to the club, he practically knew everyone by their stripper, bartender, and real name. But why the hell has he never seen her?

"But how? We stopped hiring months ago."

"You could say I have certain relationships with people." Rolling his eyes, he was about ready to storm into the bathroom, but at the same time, still wanted to know more.

"I'm gonna ask you again. What do you want?" His patience was running thin, and her fake smile wasn't making the situation any better.

"You. You're always flirting with girls effortlessly, right?" Her hands were getting closer to his chest. "Then let me be your first experience from the other side."

He grabbed her hands and threw them off his chest, then turned towards the bathroom.

"I don't know who you are, but I'm a stripper. Not a prostitute." As he was about to close the door, she was still persistent to get what she wanted.

"It's a shame, you were so willing to be one for my brother's best friend." Jimin froze. His full attention was on her, now seeing the very devious smirk on her face once again.

"Who are you." He said in a very low voice. Her smirk was now growing back into a smile, not with good intentions.

"김 수미, Taehyung's sister. I'm pretty sure you don't want my brother finding out about you, right?"

He slammed the door, hoping she'd leave, only for her to come right beside the door, listening to his every move.

"Why me, Sumi? I didn't do anything to you, or your brother, who hates me for no reason by the way."

"Then why the hell did my now ex-boyfriend request a private, hands-on session with you? And for an hour? And now he's saying he needs to study with someone every week who happens to have the exact same name, and age as you?"

Mentally sighing as a comb ran through his thick, smooth tresses, he stepped out of the bathroom, still giving her the same annoyed look. She now had a face screaming for pity.

"Isn't that a problem you need to talk about with him? I'm not going to pity fuck you so you can get revenge on your ex." He grabbed his bag, ready to walk out the room, but she then spoke up again.

"So if I wasn't wanting to do this because of my ex, you would?" The sense of hope in her voice was sickening towards him.

"Did it ever cross your mind that there's a possibility that I don't like pussy?"

With that statement, he left the room, leaving her bewildered. But like most people who were persistent, she wasn't going down that easily.

Finally seeing a hallway made Jimin do backflips on the inside from joy. He was finally leaving that god awful place, but as he walked to the front desk, he happened to notice a car right outside the front door.

'It's probably nothing.' He handed the final papers to the lady, and she nodded, letting him leave. As he stepped out onto the concrete, admiring the bright lights of Seoul that he missed dearly, the same car was still outside, but now honked multiple times. Jimin turned around annoyed, only to see the window rolled down, and a familiar, smiley face pop his head out from it.

"GET IN LOSER WE'RE GOING SHOPPING." Laughing at Hoseok's terrible girl voice, he got in the car, and sped down the street to the nearest strip mall. The words that Sumi said were still fresh in his head, why would she even want anything to do with him. His life was a wreck that was only getting more catastrophic by the day. Jimin didn't realize he was zoning out once again, until he felt the car come to a quick stop, and saw Hoseok's face turn slightly red. They were stuck in a tunnel despite the fact the mall was only about a 20-minute drive, but from a distance, a large truck blocked off any other cars from passing by.

"Another accident?" That's when he heard glass shatter from cars all around him. Men that were clearly college students behind all the face paint with spray cans, soda cans, and snacks we're destroying vandalizing cars left and right, while one particular guy started to walk up to Hoseok's car. He recognized who was really under that face paint, then looked at Jimin.

(Think of the scene in the Run MV where they just fuck shit up.)

"Hide under the seat." Jimin looked at him confused, but still complied with his ridiculous request.

"Why the hell are you making me do this?" Without answering him, he heard Hoseok's window roll down, and a very familiar voice.

"Hoseok? The fuck are you doing here, I was really about to draw a dick on your car if I didn't know it was you." Of course, Taehyung would be a part of this.

"I'm surprised you haven't gotten caught yet. How much longer until this ends?" Twirling his baseball bat in his hand, sirens were now heard from the distance.

"TAE LET'S GO NOW!" Another familiar voice from the football team was heard.

"Just ended, see you in class tomorrow." Sprinting back towards the truck, he hopped in the back, and they sped off. Most cars were able to pass by with minor damage. Most people tried to take pictures of the truck and show the cops, but it was hard to identify a truck that was covered by a huge white cloth and the license plate number wasn't clear. As stupid as they were, they were pretty good at not being caught.

As traffic cleared, Jimin felt extremely uncomfortable with the fetal position he was still stuck in, but as he felt the car start to move, he took it as a cue that it was okay to be seen again.

"Shit, I forgot you were down there." Shaking out his limbs, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair again.

"Just take me home..." He mumbled and leaned his head against the window.

"Jimin, is everything okay?" Hoseok was always concerned about his friend's mental health, but after all that's happened, he really made sure to look out for him even more.

"Just take me home Hoseok." As much as he didn't want to seem annoyed with Hoseok's questions, his tone only made it more obvious.

"Do you want me to stay-"

"Just fucking take me home and stop questioning me." What the fuck happened within those few minutes?

As they were driving, he noticed Jimin was soon glued to his phone, which is very normal for him. However, he seemed distressed, almost as if he was worried about something.

"Fuck." Jimin rested his head against the seat, and his face started to turn red. The urge to ask him what was going on was soon becoming unbearable, but he didn't want to annoy him any further than he already had.

"Hoseok, can I stay at your house tonight? I know it's a sudden change but I just need someone at the moment." His tone was a lot more soft and needy. He nodded his head in agreement, and flashed him his signature sunshine smile before turning onto his street.

Jimin's eyes were still glued to his phone as he parked his car and walked towards the doorstep.

"You're gonna go blind before the time you reach 30 if you keep looking at your phone in the dark." He finally looked up, and then turned his phone off feeling as if he was being rude.

"Sorry, it's just I had to cancel on someone tonight and they're upset." Upset couldn't even define how pissed that 'other person' was.

"I'm sure they'll get over it, nobody can keep a grudge that long." If only that were true for this case.

Jimin knew this house like the back of his hand, and he led himself to the guest room where he conveniently kept some of his clothes here by accident. He stripped down just to put a robe on, then walked into the bathroom to take a shower and hopefully relieve all the anxiety that was piling up inside of him.
