AWKWARD...

The next morning;
Living room;

Ashton POV

I climbed down the stairs that led to the living room, trying to hide the pain I was having in my nether region and stifling the moans that tried to escape my lips with every step I took. As I reached down I was met with Carlton's wide but kind of scared eyes. As soon as he saw me, he turned his head away and was awkwardly looking at a plant kept near the fireplace. Alexei was sitting a bit away from while cradling a book even though he never reads one. What is up with them. I reached closer just to find out that Bian and Felix too we're cradling each other while settling on a big bean bag. I smiled at all of them and sat on another bean bag, Damian was nowhere to be seen as I reached down, where is he?

I heard some sounds and giggles coming from the kitchen and saw my mom and Damian walk out of it while holding a lot of cups of presumably hot chocolate. I smiled at him and then sat on an empty bean bag myself, Damian came closer to me and handed me a cup and we all began to sip onto our hot chocolate in utter silence. But that was not enough, suddenly my mom got up and asked a very awkward question that made all of us blush like hell,

"Did you all hear some loud noises last night dear?"

I almost spit my drink out and choke on it but Alexei answered on my behalf,

"Uh- aunty, that... How would we know that? We all were sound asleep!"

Mom nodded her head and then announced to us,

"Well then, when are you leaving? I mean not to be rude, but don't you all have your jobs to attend to?"

Damian cleared his throat and then sat straight up,

"Yes Mrs. Gray, we all need to leave anyways, I'm sure that Drake too has his own work to attend to. And Alexei, Bian and me too have our business to handle."

I just nodded at his words and soon we all packed our bags and and were getting ready to leave. As I was packing my last clothing I felt Damian's hands wrap around me and his face snuggled into my neck. He took a deep breath and spoke in his very heavy voice,

"Hmm... You smell so good Puppy. I almost want to take you again right here right now..."

I pushed his hands away and spoke to his ever horned up self,

"We need to leave for our normal lives Sir. We have a business deal to crack, you remember that?"

He let out a exasperated sigh and dropped his head over my shoulder,

"Business meetings are a boner killer Puppy! Fine, let's go home and do some work okay?"

"Sir, I have a proposition for you. If you crack the deal, I'll give you a gift... A very adult gift... Deal?"

He widened his eyes at my suggestion and then gave me his signature smirk and picked his bag up and made me run with him to his car. The crisp winter air accompanied us as we left my family home, now laden with memories of laughter, warmth, and a touch of awkwardness. New York awaited us, and the anticipation of the city's hustle and bustle filled the air.

Damian smoothly navigated the bustling city streets, eventually reaching my place. As we approached my doorstep, Damian and I exchanged knowing glances, hinting at the unspoken camaraderie we shared.

As we entered, the atmosphere shifted. Unbeknownst to us, the notorious Chase Butcher awaited outside, his ominous presence palpable. The scowl on his face intensified as he caught sight of Damian. Tension hung in the air, and Damian, ever vigilant, prepared for what seemed inevitable - a confrontation. Chase, the embodiment of mischief and trouble, eyed Damian with a malicious grin.

"Well, well, if it isn't the charming Damian. What brings you here?"

Damian, never one to back down, responded with a measured confidence.

"Just accompanying Ashton to his house, what are you doing here Butcher? Don't you dare create a scene now!"

Chase chuckled darkly, circling Damian like a predator sizing up its prey.

"Oh, but a scene is what I crave. And you, Damian, always seem to bring a spark to the show."

The banter escalated, tension mounting between the two. It was a vocal sparring match, words exchanged like punches in a heated battle of wits. I watched nervously, sensing the brewing storm. As the verbal skirmish unfolded, the air crackled with intensity, setting the tone for a clash that extended beyond words, foreshadowing a confrontation that would leave its mark on the unfolding chapters of our intertwined lives.

The verbal sparring between Damian and Chase reached its peak, the tension escalating with each word. Without warning, Damian's patience wore thin. In a swift and decisive motion, he threw a punch, landing it squarely on Chase's face. The unexpected blow sent a shockwave through the cold winter air.

Chase stumbled back, his nose now bleeding. A mixture of surprise and rage flashed across his face as he wiped away the blood, his scowl deepening. The confrontation had transitioned from words to actions, and the city's pulse seemed to pause for a moment.

Me, witnessing the sudden turn of events, felt a mix of shock and admiration for Damian's bold move. The hallway around us transformed into a silent arena where the clash between good and mischief played out. Damian, his fists at the ready, confronted Chase, unyielding in his stance.

"I've had enough of your games, Chase. Leave us alone."

Chase, despite the bleeding nose, smirked menacingly.

"You've got some guts, Damian. But this is far from over."

The ominous threat hung in the air as Chase retreated, disappearing into the hallways shadows. The encounter left an indelible mark on the crisp winter night, the echoes of the confrontation lingering as me and Damian stood in the aftermath. I silently turned to Damian, a mixture of gratitude and concern in his eyes.

"Thanks for again standing up for me, Damian."

Damian, with a reassuring smile, replied,

"Always, Ashton. We'll face whatever comes together."
