Rewrite Part one

Logan's perspective

I slam my locker shut hard and, before moving, I stand still to listen to the echo of my example of anger. Someone had stepped on my brand new shoes and I was furious. After embracing my small sample of my emotions that would usually never be shown and composing myself, I started walking to my classes early.

Since I am not a very social person, I did not have friends to walk to class with. So, I decided to take out a book to read. I decided to pay more attention to the book than where I was walking, which is probably why what happened next was partially my fault.

As I rounded the corner, I bumped into something that I could infer was very unsturdy because it fell down even though I did not collide into it with much force. I tore my eyes away from the book I was reading and internally fumed because I would have to start the page over and it was just getting to the good part.

I saw a young man who I remember from the small amount of social gatherings I attended in my youth before my parents forbade me from attending them anymore after I accidently broke curfew. He was a small young man in a light blue polo shirt with his gray sweater tied over his shoulders. His glasses were lopsided and he had one of his hands on his forehead. His book for psychology was a few feet away from him, and I could guess that he had it dropped on his way down to the concrete floor.

"Ow!" he exclaimed.

I bent down to examine him and see if he was hurt.

"Are you injured?" I asked as I reached for his book. He looked up at me with a weak smile.

"N-no. I'm fine", he stammered. "Are you ok?" His eyes showed a mixture of emotions. Mostly worry, but there was something else there I just couldn't figure out.

"I am not hurt to an extent where I will need medical attention." I admitted. The young boy looked up at me with a confused face.

"In other words, I am okay." I explained. The boy's worry that was swimming in his eyes quickly faded and his face lit up at those words.

"Oh, good! I was worried." He exclaimed. I almost admitted that he had made it obvious that he was feeling that way, but I decided not to. I handed his book to him and stood up. For some reason unknown to me, I reached out my hand after I got up, implying him to take it in order to get the support he might need to get up. He stared at my hand in shock for only moment then took it and lightly blushed as I pulled him up with ease. He was not very heavy.

"Thank you." He said quietly before turning to walk away. But, after a few steps, he turned around and said, with a smile and a hint of a blush still left on his cheeks,"My name is Patton. What's yours?"

I simply replied,"My name is Logan. Goodbye Patton. I hope to see you again."

"Bye, bye! See you soon!" he responded as I walked away. I stole a look over my shoulder as I turned a corner, for some reason hoping to see his cute little smile, but he was nowhere to be seen. I hope-wait.

Did I just say cute?

So, yeah. I'm rewriting this. I worked really hard on this chapter. I know in the comments I said I would do it in third person but...Screw it! Okay, bye bye!
