Hi everyone! =D

I am rewriting this story, because it was reaching the climax too quickly. I will however, keep some things the same. Don't worry! =) Thank you for understanding!

The morning air danced with my hair and stung my cheeks with its chill. I turned my collar to the cold as I made my way back to a small cabin resting, hiding, in the shadows of the peak of Mount Lanakila. I stepped through the doorway to be greeted by a rush of warmth to my cheeks and a coo from a small yellow rodent on the table. Useless... I stiffened and Spark dashed to my side, crawling up my arm and giving my cheek a few comforting licks. I smiled and patted him on the head in thanks.

Are you okay Al? Something in the corner shifted as it brought its eyes to me. Weak...

"I'm fine Storm..." I grinned, "Just old memories..."

Your eyes are telling me otherwise... Storm responded, his voice softening. Are they the memories of the past?

I chuckled. "Yeah..." Spark cooed and nuzzled my cheek. Disgrace...

Memories? A new voice cut in, eyes hopeful and ears pricked in anticipation. I gave a light chuckle at the small Pokémon's behavior. Like a story? Please tell me the story Al! Disappointment...

"Oh Silver... Are you sure?" I asked.

Of course! Silver yipped happily. Why wouldn't I be? Hopeless...

This memory is a bad one, and it hurt Al, in many different forms, very badly. Storm replied.

"He's right about that." I sighed. Depressing...

Telling others makes it better! Silver smiled gleefully.

I chuckled, "Alright, alright." At my words, other figures emerged from the shadows. My friends. My family. I cleared my throat.

Then began...

Three years before...

I smiled as the plane touched down on Kanto ground. Pikachu cried out softly and I scratched behind his ear, provoking more coos of affection. He leapt up onto my shoulder as I marched down the aisle of the plane to the door. I leapt out of the plane, my fist in the air, and let out a cry of happiness. Then I fell down the stairs.

People from the plane rushed to my aid, worry adorning their faces, but when I laughed, their faces relaxed. I pushed myself off the ground only to be shoved back to it. My gaze flicked up to the furious face of Ms. Harrison, the kind old lady down the path from my house, but she scowled at me, instead of immediately apologizing and offering her hand.

I smiled up at her. "Hi Ms. Harrison! I'm back!" I laughed.

She scowled. "Your mother should be ashamed of a disgrace like you." She then hobbled off. Her words pierced my chest, but I was determined to be optimistic.

"Good to see you too!" I smiled after her. I turned to the airport building, a simple thing really, made of common stone and wood.

I entered the building, just to pass through, but every face I saw sent an ugly glare in my direction. Confused, I walked outside, before jumping backwards, just out of reach of a fast-approaching car. "Watch it you hopeless kid!" the driver spat, before speeding off. Pikachu sparked his cheeks, but I prevented him from doing anything by placing my hand on his head, giving it a light pat.

I headed down the road, chin high. A little bad luck can't bring me down! When I made my way down the path to Pallet Town, each person would send me a glare, and Pokémon backed away from me in fear. Each glare, each retreat, sent a little sadness and pain into my heart.

I continued walking, however, my head was now facing the ground. A large shadow overcast me, and I looked up, to find Professor Oak's laboratory. I smiled at the thought of my Pokémon, and I stepped towards the lab, only for something to smack against my back, sending me sprawling to the ground. Pikachu crawled over to me, cooing in concern. I could hear laughter.

My eyes welled with tears as I looked around for the culprit, only to come up empty. I ran into the lab, fearful of what might happen should I stay. I slammed the door upon entry, alerting Professor Oak of my presence. As if on cue, he made his way out of a nearby room, his eyes finding mine. A sympathetic look overcame his features. "Ash, my boy...." His voice cracked, sounded broken. "You must run. Run as far away as possible." He reached into his coat pocket, and pulled out a simple slip of paper. "Take this and these." He gestured with the paper at some Pokémon eggs.

I frowned, "Why Professor Oak?" I swallowed, "Does this sudden plan have to do with everyone's behavior towards me?" His eyes saddened even more as he slowly nodded. Pikachu whimpered and I felt slow tears make their way down my face. I took the paper, but left the eggs. Professor Oak looked at me oddly, and I explained. "I want to say good-bye to my mother." I looked away slightly. "She deserves that much." He nodded and let me go.

"Be quick my boy, many people want you gone." I raced out of his lab, and down the path to the small familiar house ahead of me. A single scream from inside made my heart race faster. Pikachu ran hot at my heels.

I bashed the door open to see Brock with a surprised expression on his face. "Ash?"  He frowned, and snatched a quick look outside before pulling me inside. What I saw startled me.

I suddenly shrunk in on myself. "You guys aren't going to hurt me are you?" My voice was weak and it wavered.

Serena's eyes immediately softened and she embraced me gently. "Never Ash, we're here for you." The rest of the room gave supporting nods. I left out a breath I didn't know I was holding, hugged Serena back, and nuzzled my face in the crook of her neck. Her neck shaded red and warmed. I stepped back and put the back of my hand to her forehead.

"Are you sick Serena?" I gave her a concerned look. "Do you want an ice pack?" The guys facepalmed and the girls sighed. "What?" I looked around me. "Was it something I said?"

Trip suddenly walked into the kitchen, where we were currently, from the lounge/ living room. "There are police vehicles approaching." He looked to me. "Get your a$$ to Professor's lab." I looked around the kitchen, at each caring face facing me. My friends smiled at me. My mother nodded at me and handed me some fabric. I turned back to Serena.

"Don't forget me." I then pecked her lips before running out of the house from the back door. The music of sirens fading as I neared Professor Oak's laboratory. This time, Gary open the door.

He looked around me really fast, before pulling me inside. "Good luck Ashy-boy." Tears pricked my eyes, and his welled up as well. "Show the world you're no cheater." He handed me a duffle bag, before snatching up my Pokedex. He headed over to a machine and inserted the Pokedex in the slot. Pressing the small blue button, he whisper repetitively, "Please, please, please..." A single beep informed me what he was doing completed and he handed me my Pokedex again, along with the two eggs. Gary wiped his tears. "See you."

"See ya." I whispered back, as sirens once again filled the silence. I opened the duffle and quickly found one of my Tauroses' Pokeballs and released them. I climbed onto them as Pikachu made himself comfortable in front of me. I lead Tauros to woods, where I unravel what my mom handed me. It was a blue-lightning themed hoodie. On the brim of the hood, the words, "Never give up until it's over my handsome spark of joy." were embroidered in silver.

I smiled and teared up at the word. "I won't Mom." I looked to the sky. "I promise." I tugged the hoodie over my shirt and stuffed my hat in my backpack. Pikachu soon followed after a look of encouragement. The eggs kept warm in my duffle as I made my way to the airport atop Tauros.

I looked behind me, just to see Gary, handcuffed, and being shoved in a police car. Serena's face appeared from the back window, and it took all I had at seeing my childhood friend, my crush, and my mother in the back of a police car. Serena nodded at me once more, mouthing the words "Go." I teared up as I nudged Tauros to the airport.

On my way, I received a newspaper. "Ash Ketchum's Support Caught!" flashed as the headline, and a group photo of my friends and family approaching a prison, took me a few seconds of meditation before I suppressed my extreme rage. I pulled the hood of my hoodie over my head, and returned Tauros, entering the airport once again.

I handed the check-in my ticket and they gave me an odd look, which I returned with a glare. They shrugged and waved me on. I entered the plane, and handed the butt of the ticket to the flight attendant. She looked at me in surprise, before leading me to business class. I placed my duffle in the over hanging compartment and put my backpack under the seat in front of me. Buckling my seatbelt, I felt my eyes flutter shut.

"ASH!" I heard Serena call. "Wait!" I stopped running and turned back to Serena, my eyes glimmering. She finally catches up to me, before leaning on her knees panting, her fringe obscures her beautiful eyes. Her beautiful cerulean eyes, then raise to meet mine, an emotion I can't read present in them. A smile grows on her face. Not the one I love, but one that doesn't fit on her face. It's an insane smile, one that make me shake in fear. Not because of how insane it looks, but of how odd it is, at this time.

The grin grows, and the hairs on my arm lift in alarm. I finally recognize the emotion. It's psychotic, it's crazy, it's evil. Serena looks at me with a smile that could burn heaven, her eyes ablaze with the rage and mistrust, that I wish I could unsee. The forest that surrounds us grows dark, until all I see is those perfect white teeth, pulled into a smile of victory. Evil, insane, victory.

"Excuse me." Something racks my body. "Mister." My eyes blink in the light. "Mister, would you like something to eat?" A small girl smiles up at me. I smile back down at her.

"No thank you, young lady." She nods and receives and oran berry juice from the flight attendant. "Actually, could I have a cup of cinnamon, apple, and orange tea?" The lady gives me an odd look and hands me the three tea bags, some sugar, and a cup of warm water. I grin at her. "It's actually really good! You should try it sometime." The little girl next to me looks at me in wonder before asking the lady for the same. The girl dumps in the sugar after the tea steeps and takes a tentative sip. Her eyes widen and a smile grows on her face. I turn back to the flight attendant as the little girl gushes about the flavor to her mom, who laughs. "Can I also have a paper from this morning?" I give a sheepish grin, "I missed the morning paper." She gives a smile, now dull from all my questions, and hands me the paper. I smile at her. "Thank you so much." Her smile brightens and a small dusting of pink grows on her face. She nods and moves on. I place the tea bags in the tea cup and let it sit, before I take them out and place them on a napkin. I stir the sugar in and pick up the paper.

"Ash Ketchum: A Cheater, an Abuser, and a Liar" I nearly spit out my tea. I read on. "Ash Ketchum was reported to be using illegal drugs by first round contestant, and several opponents after that. Officials sent to report cheating tell us that Ash Ketchum had amazing strategies, but his use of unknown drugs on his Greninja depletes the respect from those admirations. We have also heard from several citizens that Ash Ketchum abuses his Pokémon, almost to the point of death. The enthusiasm is fake, all a lie. He asks his sinister girlfriend, Serena Yvonne to cover bruises acquired from training with water proof make-up. All of Ash Ketchum's supporters and companions will be arrested until further notice." ©Pokénews

I turn to the woman by the window. "What do you think of this?" She quickly looks around.

"I think it's-" She covers her daughter's ears. "bullsh!t, but there's nothing I can do about it." She releases her daughter. "There are several people who think that Ash would never do that. He saved many of us from evil organizations after all."

I feel in awe of this woman, sure, she hasn't done anything to speak out against the wrong, but she still supports me, even though all supporters will be thrown in jail. Like Serena and the others. I think bitterly. "Please buckle your seatbelt and welcome to the Alola region."

I stare past the mother's head at the tropical region of Alola.
