Agent (Han Jisung x Reader)

"Just get the information, and get away from him. You know he's dangerous. We can't risk to lose an important agent like you." My boss said, his voice echoing through my earpiece as I walked down the street to the bar, where my target was meant to be.

"I get it, but really I'll be fine." I said quietly.
"Just ask him about his place. Be sneaky. Don't let him catch on. Get him drunk if you have to." My boss added.

"Yup, I know." I said, turning the earpiece down as I walked inside, the stench of alcohol hitting me as I stepped inside.

I looked around, spotting my target.
Han Jisung.

One of the top Mafia Bosses of Seoul.
Sitting at the bar, drinking away aimlessly.
He was alone.

I wandered over, taking a seat next to him.

"Just a glass of red wine, thank you." I smiled to the bartender.

Jisung lifted his head, looking me up and down before turning back to his drink, his head low.
I turned and glanced at him. "You look upset. You alright?"

"You don't even know me. Why are you asking me such pointless questions." He snapped back.

"Well, I reckon anyone could do with a bit of kindness every now and again. You just look lonely."

"You do too. Shouldn't you be here with your boyfriend or something?" He questioned.
I chuckled slightly. "I don't have one. I'm as single as someone could be."

"I know what you mean.." He said, tracing the rim of his glass with his finger.

"Nice ring." I said, looking at the shining silver around his index finger.

"It was a gift from someone I used to know. My first love.. back in high school. They're long gone.. passed away while we were still in school.." Jisung said, sniffling slightly.
"I'm so sorry.. that's horrible." I said.

"It's alright, I'm over it now. What brings you here?" He asked, looking me straight in the eye.
His eyes were warm, but drained, tired. He wasn't what I expected.

"I just wanted to get away from everything. From home, from work, from life. So I came here to drink my ass off. Probably not the best way to cope." I chuckled.

"Well, I can't say anything. I just came here to hide. No one I know lives around here.. I don't want anyone to find me.. I'm going to let everyone down.." Jisung muttered.

"You're not going to let anyone down." I said.

"You wouldn't know that. You don't even know who I am." Jisung said.
"I just have a feeling." I smiled slightly, taking a drink.

"Well I think I will." Jisung said, looking away from me.

"You seem like a really good guy. So, I doubt that's the case. You're not going to let anyone down. If you do, that's just the way life is. It happens. But it's not worth getting upset over." I explained.

"Oh, let me introduce myself! I'm Park Y/N, and you?"
"Han.. Han Jisung.." He said quietly.

Then he stood up. "I need to go. You can't be seen near me, it's not safe." He said, stumbling as he walked towards the door.

I frowned, getting up and following him.
"You're not driving, you're drunk. I'll take you home."

Jisung shoved me off. "You don't know who I am. It's not safe for you. Please, just stay away. You seem nice but I just can't."

"I'll be fine. Let me drive you." I insisted.
"Fine. Your signing your death wish." He grabbed a shot from the counter, drinking it before stumbling off with me to his car, passing me the car keys.

He put his address into the navigation, laying himself in the back seat.

"I'll pay you if you want.. just.. will you be able to stay with me tonight?" He asked.

'It's all for the mission..' I thought. "Yes, of course I can."

We drove in silence, before we finally arrived at his home.

He stumbled out, unlocking the door.
"Come come.." He said, wandering inside.
I followed him, only to be amazed by the inside.

The walls were painted an ashen grey, the furniture all dark greys to accent the pale walls.

Most lights hung like crystal chandeliers, sparkling off the light they created. The floors were marble white, shining.

"I have a spare room for you. Follow meee." He slurred, walking up a flight of stars.
I followed him, looking at the photos and artworks lining the walls.

"Here, you can stay in here." He said, smiling.
"That's the first time I've seen you smile." I commented.
"I don't do it often." He said shyly.

I walked inside the room, only to be amazed by the large queen bed, the bed frame made of a dark black oak, twisting in elegant vines. The sheets were a deep grey, the pillows an ashen colour.

"It's lovely.. I can catch a taxi home y'know.." I said, turning to face him.

He had his head hung low, before he stepped closer to me.

"Y/N, was it? Can I.. ask you something?" He said.

"Of course." I said, stepping toward him.
He grabbed me by the wrist, shoving me against the wall, his eyes growing void of emotion. The tired drained boy from earlier was gone.

He held both of my wrists at my sides.
"Just who the hell are you really? You've got no internet footprint, and I can't find anything on you." He growled.
"And what's with the earpiece?"

I just said nothing, avoiding meeting his eyes.
"You're an agent, aren't you." He said, looking me down.
I stayed quiet.

"I'm not even surprised." He grabbed his gun out, keeping my hand down with his knee.

"You can let go. I've got barely any fighting experience on you. And I'm unarmed." I said, wincing as his knee dug into my side.

Jisung stood back, glowering at me.
"What do you want?" He asked.

"I was sent here for information.. that's all I was told."

"Is the earpiece on?" He asked.
"No, I turned it off." I said.
"Turn it on. I want to talk to your boss."

I handed my earpiece over. Jisung turned it on. "I've got the little play thing you sent to get me. It's not going to work. I'm going to have fun with them."

With that he turned it off, crushing it under his boots.

"You're staying here from now on. Got it?" He growled.
I just nodded.

"You know, I really like you, Agent Park. So, I'm going to give you a choice. Either join me in my group, or I'll leave you to rot with the rest of my prisoners." He said, looking at me with a half-hearted smile.

I smiled back, before crushing my phone beneath my own heels.
"I always hated my boss, anyways."

It had been around a few months since I joined Han Jisung, and his mafia.

He had loosened up quite a bit, taking his spare time to teach me proper fighting skills, since all I knew was how to shoot a gun.

He protected me well, although, I never left his property.
He didn't want my old agency to find me alive. Otherwise I'd be taken back as a traitor, and killed.

I knew that, since the day I crushed my phone and joined him, but I didn't mind.
He understood me, and we had a connection.
"Hey, Y/N, what do you think about going on your first mafia mission with me?" Jisung asked.

I looked to him, tilting my head in confusion.
"Won't I get caught?" I asked.
"Not if I'm with you." He smiled.

"Well.. what's the mission then?" I said, poking at my dinner.

"It's just a simple drug cartel. They owe us some money. So we go in there, I try talk to them, then it's most likely going to fail, and we shoot them all, and get our money. Usual gang stuff." Han shrugged.

"Ah.. I see.. what should I wear?"
"Something that makes you look authoritative.. I'd suggest black." Han suggested.

"And wear chest padding- a small bulletproof vest. I'll get my maid to get you one.. that's the one place we can protect.. can't do anything about your head.. so once we start shooting, hide, okay?"

"I know how to shoot y'know." I scoffed.
"I'm not risking it." Han said.

"We leave in twenty. Get ready." He said, walking off.
I hadn't seen him like this, since the day he talked to my boss.

Well, he was a boss after all.. I suppose he had to be cold.

So I went upstairs and got ready. As he had said, the maids had left a bulletproof vest out for me, as well as an outfit for me to wear.
It was fully black, as black as the night sky.

I headed downstairs, Han waiting. He handed me a gun. "We're going. When we're there, don't say a word."

We got in his van in silence, a group of armed men in the back.
I slid the gun into my back pocket, wrapping a coat around me to hide the bump.

When we arrived, he helped me out the car, walking me to the entrance point, before letting go of my hand.

The enemies were inside.
We wandered inside, Han glaring at me to stop walking forward, as he took a few paces forward.

"So you came, Han Jisung." A voice called out.
One all too familiar.
I turned my head, to see my boss, Bang Chan looking down at us.

"You also brought my colleague.. how kind of you. Now if you would give them back.." he trailed.

Han scowled. "You set me up."
"Actually, you set yourself up. You can't trust anyone nowadays. Isn't that correct, Y/N?" Bang Chan asked, glaring at me.

I looked down.

"Now hand them over, or I'll happily use force."

A group of armed men ran inside. My old colleagues, guns in hand, all aimed at Han, and at me.

The men from Han's van began to run out, but he raised his hand, making them fall back.

"Just what do you plan to do to them." Han asked, keeping his eyes on Bang Chan.

"Well, welcome them back with open arms! I did think they were dead." Bang Chan sighed.
"Liar." I hissed.

Bang Chan glared at me. Han looked my way desperately.

"I've missed you, you were my best agent. What do I have to offer for you to come back? A pay rise? A promotion? Just name it." Bang Chan asked.

"I don't want to come back." I said.

Han looked to me. "Bang Chan, I believe it is, they don't want to come with you. They're an adult, they can make their own decisions. But you can't kill them, they're as innocent as when you last saw them."

Bang Chan just laughed. "Y/N was never innocent. Why else would they be such a great agent? They've got a history in multiple murder cases. It shouldn't be a surprise. We wiped their slate clean for them. I can bring it back." Bang Chan scoffed.

I just kept my eyes down, before laughing slightly myself. "You've hurt people too. Everyone has their demons, but your past doesn't define you. Yours clearly does. Im not coming back."

Bang Chan sighed. "Take it the hard way then."
Then my old colleagues started shooting.
"Y/N, I'm sorry." Felix called out, shooting at me.

Hyunjin, Lee Know, and Changbin shot at Han, backing him into a corner, while the others aimed at me.

I hurried back, banging into someone's chest.
I felt a knife cut into my neck, as I was grabbed from behind, being shoved against a wall.

My heart raced, as Bang Chan looked right at me.
"I was going to pardon you from being a traitor. Have you fallen for him, Y/N?" He asked.

"Maybe I have.." I said, my neck grazing against the knife as I spoke.
I heard cries call out, as Han shot at my old workmates.

"DON'T KILL THEM!" I screamed, feeling tears spill at their screams.
Despite our opposing sides, we were still friends.

Bang Chan just chuckled. "He won't listen to your wishes. He's a heartless mafia boss, that's how they are."

"You don't know that." I hissed.
Then the screams died down.
"They're all quiet.. know what that means? They're d, e, a, d." He smirked.

Then a bang ran through, blood spitting from Bang Chan's mouth.
A bullet hole ran right through his stomach, the bullet getting stuck in my own vest.

He staggered back, staring at Han with disgust.
"Murderer.." He hissed.

Han just chuckled maniacally.
"I know.. and so are they, and so are you." He smiled.

He ran over to me, wiping at the blood on my neck. "It's only a small scratch."
"Are the others.." I asked.

"I didn't kill any of them. They're all just taking a nap. Let's go. Clearly there's no money here.. Bang Chan might be in hospital for awhile, that's all." Han shrugged.

"He was a pain in my ass, anyway."
We started walking off, heading to the van.

Han suddenly stopped, looking to me.
"Y/N, I love you.. I've wanted to say that, but we've only known each other such a short time."

I smiled, wrapping him in a hug.

"Who cares whether we've known each other for a week or a few months, we already clicked when we first met. Since then, I've wanted to spend my life with you."

"Forever and always."
