Location
The forest is only a few minutes away from the alley where the cats live.

Inhabitants
It's full of many, many small creatures and large mammals which are a good food source for the strays.

Uses
The strays usually go there to hunt or go for walks or runs. It's a good, peaceful and calm setting in which the cats enjoy.

Scenery
The trees are thickly grown together, making it quite dark, but of course that's no problem for the cats as they can see in the dark.
Streams and rivers and beautiful waterfalls run through the forest, giving it some extra scenery.

Safeties
With the thickly growing trees, it makes it easier for scents to travel, helping the cats know when dangers are near.
With having so many trees, and so closely together, the cats may climb up a tree and jump from tree to tree to escape from something.

Dangers
When in a tree, they are so close together that it's very difficult to see through the branches which means attack is easy.
With it being so dark, eyesight isn't as good as it is when in daylight, so that could also help with ambushes.

History
The forest has been there for thousands of years, dying and regrowing. It has since grown in size, expanding to a larger square area. Cats and many other animals have roamed there for hundreds of years and work together to keep the circle of life going in the right direction.
