'Remember when we first met?
You said "light my cigarette"'

Win snuck out his bedroom's window and carefully climbed down the pipe.

His feet touched the well trimmed grass lawn and he sighed in relief.

He walked towards the main gate of the house as quietly as he could.

He took a look at his watch and saw he only had a minute till the CCTVs turn on again.

He opened the gates, wincing when it made a slight sound and closed it quietly again.

He tiptoed till a distance and pulled over the hood of his hoodie over his head and tightened it by forming a bow with the strings attached on either side.

He put on his face mask, covering his nose and mouth.

He took a look back at his house and smiled in satisfaction of not being caught again.

He then started his walk to his destination.

Win whistled his favourite song as he neared his destination.

He took off his face mask, smiling in delight.

He abruptly stopped in his tracks as he spotted a silhouette of another man.

He quietly walked up to the man and stood behind him.

He poked at the man's back.

Damn. He's got nice muscles.
Win thought quietly.

The man didn't turn.

Win poked harder this time. And twice.

"Excuse me?" Win called out quietly.

The man turned his face to the side to give Win a side glance.

Then he turned his face to the front again.

"May I know what you're doing in an abandoned construction site?" Win asked.

"What is a kid like you doing in an abandoned construction site?" The man countered.

"Hey! I'm not a kid! And anyways I've been coming here since I was a child." Win said offended.

"What are you now? An adult?" The man snorted.

Win looked offended.

"Can you please move? That's my spot you're standing on." Win said.

The man looked down to where he was standing before sitting down and leaning back against the cement wall.

Win opened his mouth in shock.

"What is wrong with you?" Win asked.

"Can you just shut up, kid? You talk too much. Enjoy the night sky if that is why you're here." The man said irritated.

Win shut his mouth and sat down leaning against another cement wall as well.

"Is this your first time here?" Win asked after a second of silence.

"No." The man answered.

"Why haven't I seen you before then?" Win asked.

"Because I came earlier today." The man answered.

"That's not what I asked but ok." Win said.

The man answered all his questions while staring out at the night sky and Win looked at the sky as well.

They were engulfed in silence for a while. A comfortable silence.

Win looked at the man's direction when he heard some shuffling.

The man had a cigarette between his lips and was tapping around his body searching for something.

"I'm Win by the way. What is your name?" Win said.

The man looked up at Win.

Holy moly.
Win thought.

Win saw the man's face a bit clearly this time as the moonlight fell on the man's face.

Sharp jawline.

Cold and sharp bambi eyes.

Heart shaped lips.

Long sharp nose.

Defined eyebrows.

A scar right beside his left eyebrow.

Not too big, not too small.

"Hey kid! The man said loudly.

"Huh? Yeah?" Win broke from his analysis of the man's face and made eye contact with the man.

"Do you have a lighter?" The man asked.

Win nodded and took out one from his pant's pocket.

"Here." Win shoved or in the man's direction.

"Light it." The man looked at Win.

"The cigarette. Light my cigarette." The man repeated seeing Win's confused expression.

Win leaned forward slightly and lit the cigarette with his lighter.

The man inhaled it in and removed the cigarette from in between his lips to exhale out the smoke.

"I'm Bright."

'So I lied to my mom and dad
I jumped the fence and I ran'

"Win." Win's mom called out.

"Yeah, mama?" Win answered.

"Sweetie, are you going somewhere?" She asked.

"Mn." Win hummed.

"Where?" She asked.

"To the park to take a stroll." Win lied.

"At night?" Win's dad looked up from scrolling through his iPad.

"Yeah. The air is cooler and fresher." Win smiled. "And the night sky looks beautiful as well."

"Should I join you?" His dad asked.

"No dad. I'm good by myself." Win reassured.

Win's mom seemed hesitant about his sudden idea to go out at night.

"Gonna go now. Bye mom! By dad!" Win said and wore his shoes hurriedly before running out.

He ran all the way to the usual place.

As he reached his usual place a small smile made its way to his lips.

"Bright!!!" He yelled out.

The said man turned around.

Win's smile grew bigger and he ran towards Bright.

Bright stood there watching Win run towards him.

And then Bright felt himself stagger back at the sudden weight crashing onto him.

Win hugged Bright tightly and then nudged Bright slightly to make the older male return the hug.

Bright hesitantly hugged Win back, making the younger male smile widely.

Win buried his face in the crook of Bright's neck and inhaled.

Bright smelled like cigarettes and his shirt smelled of something like strawberries.

And it made Win wonder.

What would he taste like then?

'But we couldn't go very far
'Cause you locked your keys in your car'

"Mama! I'm going out on a drive with my friend!" Win yelled as he ran towards the front door and wore his shoes.

"Win! There's going to be a thunderstorm today." His mom yelled back as she came out of the kitchen.

"Don't worry, mama. I'll be back before the thunderstorm and I'll stay safe. Love you! Bye!" Win said and waved at his mother before leaving the house.

"Hi!" Win said cheerfully as he spotted the older man standing by his car at their usual spot.

"So, where are we going?" Win asked.

"For a drive." Bright replied and opened the passenger seat door for Win.

Win smiled gratefully and got in.

Bright closed the door and went to the driver's side and got in.

He started the car and drove out into the late evening.

The car ride had been filled with music, Win's singing and chattering about every other thing as Bright listened attentively while driving.

"We're here." Bright announced, stopping the car on a beach.

Win looked out of his window and immediately got out of the car.

"The beach?" Win asked, confused.

"It's close." Bright replied.

Win nodded before walking towards the ocean.

He looked back at Bright and Bright nodded.

Win smiled and took off his shoes and rolled his pants upto his thighs.

He slowly put his right foot into the water, shuddering at the coldness.

He then put his left foot into the water as well and stood there.

Bright watched from afar.

Win suddenly jumped, splashing water everywhere and in the process losing his balance slightly before regaining it.

Bright nearly ran to Win to catch him.

"Dip your feet as well, Bright." Win offered.

Bright looked hesitant.

"Come on!" Win insisted.

Bright sighed before taking off his shoes and rolling up his pants and slowly dipped his feet in the water as well.

"Isn't it nice?" Win smiled gleefully.

"Yes." Bright replied and they fell into silence.

"Oh. Can I ask you something?" Win said, breaking the silence.

"Go ahead." Bright replied.

"How old are you? You never told me your age except that you're older than me." Win asked.

"24." Bright replied after a minute.

"Oh." Win said.

"You're what? 15?" Bright teased.

"I am 19. And I this is not what a 15 year old looks like.... phi." Win replied.

Bright squinted his eyes at Win.

He was about to retort back at Win when a drop of water fell on his nose.

Then another on his hand.

Slowly the drops increased as it started raining.

"What! It's already raining?" Win pouted.

"Let's go back." Bright said and grabbed his shoes with one hand and Win's wrist with another.

Win bent down to grab his shoes quickly before being dragged away by Bright.

The rain slowly started pouring heavily as they reached their car.

Bright searched for his car keys and found nothing.

"Do you have my car keys?" Bright asked Win.

"No. You should. Why?" Win answered.

"It's not in my pocket." Bright replied before trying to locate it in the sand.

"What!" Win exclaimed.

Bright recalled where it could have gone.

He got out of the car.

Closed the door and pressed the lock button on the door handle-

Fuck.

Bright looked inside the car.

There it was.

Sitting in the driver's seat.

"I locked it inside." Bright breathed out.

"How?" Win asked bewildered.

"Let's look for a hotel." Bright replied.

"I have to go home." Win answered.

"You're gonna catch a cold. Wear your shoes." Bright didn't pay attention to Win's reply and wore his shoes.

"The rain is becoming heavy. Come on!" Bright urged.

Win huffed and wore his shoes before Bright dragged him again and started running.

They ran under the rain and stopped infront of the closest hotel.

Both of them were drenched but still made their way inside.

Bright walked up to the reception.

And Win followed.

"How can I help you sir?" The reception asked.

"Is there any available rooms?" Bright asked.

"Yes sir. Is it just the two of you?" The receptionist asked.

"Yes. What rooms are available?" Bright replied.

"We have available rooms with a double bed and two single beds in the same room. We have deluxe rooms and two suites available. Which room would you like sir?" The receptionist explained.

"We'll take one deluxe room." Bright answered.

"Double bed or two single beds sir?" The receptionist asked.

"Double bed." Bright said as he looked at Win.

'So you sat and stared at my lips
And I could already feel your kiss'

Win tossed to the other side and felt no warmth beside him.

He slowly opened his eyes and let them adjust to the dark room.

He looked beside him and Bright wasn't by his side.

Win removed the comforter off his body and got out of bed.

His feet took him to the balcony.

Bright was standing there with his back to Win.

Win could see a vivid dark grey outline float away.

"You remembered to take your cigarette packet but not the car keys?" Win teased as he walked towards Bright.

"Why are you up?" Bright disregarded Win's previous statement.

"I don't know. Maybe because you weren't beside me." Win smiled, cheeks tainting pink.

Bright didn't reply.

"Why are you up?" Win asked back.

"Could not sleep." Bright replied.

"Does smoking help in anything?" Win asked curiously.

"I don't know. But it helps me when situations when get out of hand." Bright answered.

Win let out a small "oh" and leaned against the railing of the balcony.

"Did you call your parents?" Bright broke the silence.

"Yeah I did. They're worried of course but they trust me and.... you." Win winked.

Bright took in another inhale from the cigarette stick.

"Can I?" Win asked.

"What?" Bright asked.

"Can I... try that?" Win repeated, pointing at the cigarette.

"No. You're too young." Bright said.

"Come on. Just one!" Win insisted.

"No." Bright replied plainly.

"Please? Please phi?" Win pouted.

Bright sighed and gave Win the cigarette.

"Put it between your lips and inhale slowly." Bright guided.

Win did as he was told and waited.

"And now put it away from your lips and exhale slowly." Bright guided again.

Win did as instructed.

"I did it!" Win exclaimed happily.

"Very good. Now give it back." Bright said and made a motion to take it back.

"No! One more for celebrating my success." Win smiled and put the cigarette to his lips and inhaled again.

Bright's eyes followed his action and stopped at Win's lips.

"Here you go." Win gave Bright back his cigarette stick.

Bright simply took it and threw it on the balcony floor before crushing it with his feet.

His eyes never left Win's lips and Win noticed it too.

Win leaned in slightly and wetted his lips.

Bright inhaled heavily and weighed the consequences of kissing Win.

"P'Bright?" Win called out softly, getting a little self conscious at Bright's staring at his lips.

His breath fanned against Bright's lips.

Bright paused a moment, hesitating, before diving in for a kiss.

Win kissed back and was satisfied with how Bright tasted like.

Strawberries and Cigerattes.

That's what he tasted like.

I know it's boring in the middle but I as always I try my best.

I'm so sleepy right now and I really wanted to publish this by today.

This will probably end up in a sad ending.
