My ex-friend was texted by some stranger on Facebook. A girl.

Everyone teased him, saying that he had a girlfriend already. This went on for the whole day. I found out later that it was just a prank set up by all our classmates. The 'girlfriend' wasn't a girl at all.

Apparently everyone knew from the start, except for me and him, and they were planning to 'surprise' him on Friday.

He was right in front of me, I wish I could just tell him directly, but he'd just ignore me if I did that. Instead, I texted him that it wasn't actually a girl, and it was one of our classmates.

Once he read the message, he stared at me dead in the eyes. It was the longest time our eyes made contact in a long time. He'd usually only look at me for a second, then look right back as if nothing happened.

He didn't reply to what I had texted. It's alright, though. He never does.
