[NANCY WHEELER IMAGINE]
IMAGINE STUDYING WITH YOUR NANCY, AND GETTING FLUSTERED AROUND HER.
Nancy sat on her bed across from you, glancing up from her books with a smile on her face. You had frozen to stare at her with a silly smile, and Nancy cocked her head to the side with her smile faltering slightly, which got you snapping out from your trance.
"Y/N, are you alright?" she asked and you shook your head and smiled, meaning to indicate that you are okay and she doesn't have to worry, but the look of wonder on Nancy's face made you realize what you were doing and shaking your head switched to nodding, which got Nancy looking confused.
"I'm okay, you don't have to worry about me, I'm just tired." you muttered as a blush slowly crept up to your face.
"Oh, you have to go home then. Let's study tomorrow, this test is next week after all." she smiled and you glanced up at her with wide eyes and shook your head.
"No, I mean that... um, that this topic is tiring. I'm not actually tired, I just don't know how to concentrate." you cleared out your throat and lifted your book in front of your face to hide it getting redder and redder. "I- I mean... who's interested in the year when Thomas Jefferson married his wife and what's the point of it in this chapter?"
Nancy was quiet for a while, but then she let out a short giggle. "Well, this whole chapter does tell about the first four presidents of the United States... but the years when they married their wives aren't probably going to be in the test."
You wanted to slap yourself, of course it reads in the chapter - the whole page told about Thomas Jefferson's life and achievements. Lately, you had embarrassed yourself in front of Nancy quite a few times, especially when you were alone with her. Having a crush on her was hard, because it was like you had forgotten how to act natural every time you saw her.
"Do you want to question me or do you want me to question you?" Nancy asked and you lowered your book slowly, forgetting why you lifted it up in the first place. Nancy observed you for a moment and then she let out a giggle. "Sorry, but... why is your face so red?"
Her question got you to go even redder and your eyes widened once again. You quickly lifted your book back up, not knowing how to answer her.
She was quiet for a while, and then she slowly asked, "are you sure you're alright?"
You nodded behind your book, before you realized she didn't see you so you squeaked out, "never better."
