"Just think about it," Chase said looking at Carter."Valerie is a bitch.... and well that's pretty much it." Chase continued, he shrugged his shoulders and laughed.

"Okay, and how is that an excuse to get her back? She's are friend you know?" Carter explained.

"Are friend? She probably hangouts with us to get attention." Alec explained.

"Exactly." Chase said, agreeing with Alec.

Carter rolled his eyes, sat back and crossed his arms.

"Look at Chase for example, he's a dick sometimes and you don't see any of us getting back at him." Carter looking around at all of us.

He's so cute when he's mad.

"Whoa hold the phone." Chase said standing up from his sit." When have I every shown that I was being a dick?" He looked around waiting for an answer.

*totally awkward silence*

"Hello.." Chase said "Alec, Ash I asked a question."

Alec and Ashley tried not to make eye contact, hoping that Chase would think they disagreed with Carter

"Okay fine...sure, Chase can be a dick sometimes but we all know he means well." Ashley said nervously." But we all know Valerie is different."

"You have got to be shitting me." Chase said throwing his arms up like a child, and sitting back down.

I laughed quietly at his comment hoping no one heard me.

"Come on Carter, Valerie is a bitch and we all know it." Ashley said raising her eyebrows on the word 'bitch'.

" Don't you agree with us? I mean, you're a nice guy Carter so I'm pretty sure you don't tolerate bullying because thats what she does to poor Jess almost everyday." Ashley said looking over at me with a sad face.

"Ash." I moaned quietly I said looking over at her.

I did not want these guys feeling sorry for the quiet, shy, and innocent girl. Her saying that probably made me look even more pathetic then I did before.

I looked up and saw that Alec,Chase,and Carter were staring at me. I started blushing like crazy, they must feel so sorry for me.

"Sorry." Ashley said, with an apologetic look.

I looked back down at my feet to avoid making eye contact with anyone. Ugh when will this be over.  

"Uh....Anyways, let's take a vote. I say yes, obviously" Ashley said breaking the silence. "Alec, where do you stand on this plan?"

"I say yes, she needs to be put in her place. Sorry Carter." Alec said looking over at Carter.

"Carter?" Ashley asked.

"Pick me last, I need time to think." He said.

"Whatever." Ashely said, clearly pissed at Carter for not agreeing with her and making this into a big problem.

She'll be over it by tomorrow.

"Chase?"

"Hell yeah, it'll be fun to watch." Chase said smirking. "But I still don't understand why you guys think I act like a..."

"Shut up Chase, we all no you can act like a jerk sometimes." Ashley said rolling her eyes and Chase laughed.

"Carter, are you done thinking yet?" Ashley asked.

"You forgot to ask Jess." Carter said looking straight into my eyes.

"I think I know where she stands Carter." Ashley said.

"Everyone has to vote." He told Ashley. "What do you think about this Jess?" He said looking straight at me. Again.

It's like he needed me to say no to this, it was like he was counting on me. And it made sense, because even if everyone said yes and I disagreed Ash would not go through with it. I mean I am the "victim" here.

"Um..I..I don't know." I said my voice shaky. Why do I have to act this way around people? It was driving nuts how shy I am.

"What do you mean 'you don't
know' ?" Ashley asked.

I really didn't know what i wanted to do. Yes, Valerie is a rude, evil, heartless asshole and she might deserve payback. But maybe there's a reason she hates my guts.

And I'm not even the type of person who would fight back.

"Maybe we should just leave her alone." I told Ashley in a soft tone, hoping the others wouldn't hear me.

"What?!" Ashley said " Are you sure?"

I nodded.

"Well okay then." She said turning her attention to the other guys. " I guess this whole thing is over, you can leave now."

Ashley got up and started walking towards the kitchen, leaving me alone on her couch in the living room.

Wow, I did not expect her to leave that fast. I hope she's not mad...

"Well bye to you too Ash!" Chase said as he Alec and Carter got up from where they were sitting.

"Bye Jess." Carter said after Alec and Chase were already outside. He gave me a small smile that made me blush like crazy.

So instead of saying 'bye', I decides to gave him a really awkward wave.

He started laughing and said "I'll see you later."

Well let's hope I'll see him later.
