"This world is a very heavy one," she peeked at Tanjiro's expression as she started; seeing that now he has a serious one - she continued once again.
"A person dies in every corner of this world because of demons, not just by the fault of those demons - people themselves become the very reason to a person's suffering as well."
"Knowing how miserable this world is going to be - I have this desire to do something about it."
"I chose to save it," Momoi stared directly at Tanjiro's maroon eyes.
"The god of this world made me a sacrifice to save this world; in exchange for my wish..."
"A wish..." Tanjiro muttered.
"Yes. A wish to accompany you."
What she said confused Tanjiro at greater lengths. What does she mean by accompany him as a wish?
Does she, by any chance, already knew him beforehand?
"I can already sense your confusion..." Momoi chuckled, standing up from her seat before sucking up a full breathe and then releasing it with the wind.
"I'm sorry, i can't really understand what you mean by accompany me."
It's understandable that he's getting confused by now, Momoi's not telling him the whole story after all. The colors of the sky reflected Momoi's hazel eyes; she looks so mysterious now that her expression's not showing anything.
"It means that we're fated to meet, Tanjiro-kun. Because i received the blessing when i met you." That'll do for now. He doesn't need to know that he's a fictional character...
Momoi's being really considerate.
She couldn't help it.
What would you do if you suddenly came to know that your whole life is a lie and is only made up by someone for entertainment?
Your whole family died and your sister became a demon and then some stranger tells you that you're a fictional character made for the sake of entertainment, that's something worth losing your sanity.
It's merciless.
Momoi doesn't want Tanjiro to know that kind of side in her world; that he's not real, and is controlled by a powerful thing called plot.
Atleast for her, people of this world are real. She considered them real, they had been a part of her life throughout. That is why she was driven to save these people.
Tanjiro's face softened; if he would translate what Momoi meant right now - it's like telling him that he's the blessing itself.
That made Tanjiro felt special.
By the time their talk ended, the sun is already up. That means they needed to move to the city before the sun goes down again.

A city of a modern country could never compare to how lively a developing city or town is; however, seeing the crowded place and numerous intricate designs of each buildings ahead; it reminds her of the real world where she came from.
For a moment, she paused and stared at the developing city - admiring, and longing both mixed from the depths of her eyes. She may love this world where all her favorite characters are in, but she would be lying if she says that she doesn't miss her original world.
But no use to mull over it. She had a resolve to save them.
Shaking her head to rid of her thought, she turned to Tanjiro whose stunned in his place - giggling at him finding this side of him cute, she grabbed the hem of his haori to snap him back to his senses.
"Tanjiro, I'm here. You'll be fine." An attempt to comfort him, a smile blossomed on her lips.
He stared at her in both curiosity and wonder, "Have you been in the city before, Kuroyuri-san?"
A pout washed her smile away from her pretty face again, "I told you to call me by my name, haven't I told you before?" He stiffened, not expecting that she'll notice it right away.
Seeing that he's still unwilling on the first name basis, Momoi could only sigh. "Nevermind then, and to answer your question - I live in the cities so I'm pretty much used to this."
He gaped at her, finally realizing that she's not in the slightest bothered by the crowds, noise and the bright tall buildings ahead.
Before he could even react, Momoi pulled him towards a certain direction he's not sure about, "Let's eat first, since you have a long night ahead we should replenish our energy while we can!"
Dragging him to one of the food stores that she saw nearby, not taking in to mind that Tanjiro was supposed to go to an udon shop somewhere around a quiet place - but since she's here to guide him in the citied anyway, she might as well take him into an izekaya. It's still the same anyways.
"Konbanwa! We'd like two bowls of chicken curry and katsudon, please!"
Momoi barged in with a bright smile and immediately stated her order to the chefs working around on their counter.
"Aiyo!" Answered by one of the chef who saw her, obviously charmed by how energetic and cheerful the girl is.
"Tanjiro, is that okay with you?" She turned to the still gaping Tanjiro that is staring at her in surprise.
He stuttered, "W-What is....?" earning a dearing chuckle from Momoi. "Obviously the food, silly."
"A-Ahhh. Yes, it's fine by me." Somehow he's getting tired from the sudden energy from both the people, the city and from Momoi herself. He can't keep up at all. He had gotten used to a peaceful, slow life on the countryside that he found it hard and exhilarating to be in this kind of environment.
"Let's go sit right there," taking notice of Tanjiro's expression, she took him to quiet, desolate table in the corner to calm him down.
Tanjiro sighed, relieved that he's finally in an isolated place to relax himself. Momoi who could read him smiled to herself, mentally patting herself on her shoulder a job well done.
Now that Tanjiro is relaxing, should she go and entertain some of the customers?
She took notice of some people who looked a bit glum and down, maybe not having a great day or whatever it is that troubles them. As an idol herself, before she flew in a stardom; promised to herself that spreading happiness is a top, a must.
She had forgotten about that promise a long time ago; a toxic and highly judgmental environment changed her into a woman she never wanted to become.
Maybe it is really a blessing that she's here now. Although, this world's god is kind of a stinky guy - she wouldn't deny her gratefulness for allowing her in this world, even if she's a baggage. Thanks to that, in hopes of saving her favorite characters in this world - the search for her true self deep within came to an end.
In this world, she's just an ordinary girl with an extraordinary singing ability blessed by a god.
It wouldn't hurt to show the people of this century what an idol can do, right?
She stood up on her seat, her face radiating a bright and determined expression.
"What's the matter, Kuroyuri-san?" Tanjiro asked, baffled by her movements.
"Just watch me!"
He curiously watched Momoi as she stride to where the women are playing musical instruments. She seems to be talking with the women for a few minutes until they all smiled and nodded, all of them leaving their spot and one woman gave Momoi a shamisen.
"Thank you." Politely smiling at the woman after, she sat in the middle with a relaxed posture. Her knees tucked inside legs and her posture slightly bent gracefully to the side, fingers sliding through the thinned string of the wooden instrument. Taking note of it's light weight and familiarity.
"Oh, she can play the shamisen?" Tanjiro said to no one in particular, feeling a sort of pride and wonder as he awaits the start of a strum from the shamisen; however, it wasn't a strum that was heard - it was a beautiful soft, languid, and sweet hum of 'ru ru ru's that came out.
Catching most of the attention from the customers, along with some of the passerbys from outside the store.
Momoi smiled to herself, the familiar tune of the song bringing a sense of euphoria within her.
I hope my singing will reach out to you.
She strum her hand that held the plectrum, the sound of the string harmonizing the sound of her almost airy voice. A feeling of kindness and comfort radiating from the music, and soon after - the whole place was put into a trance, enthralled to the sound she's making. Every strum and plucking of the shamisen striking a chord in their hearts, her voice like whispers of love that lulled them affectionately.
Tanjiro was no exception as he was completely engrossed at the music, the smell of each every note she emits, and the faint-almost transparent patterns of what seemed like notes and glowing round raindrops all over her body, emitting a glow that made her look ethereal.
It feels like time stopped moving by how much everyone was motionless, until the last note had been strung did they finally snapped out of their reverie.
As soon as she opened her eges, Momoi was greeted by the sudden round of applause and praises from all over the place. Amidst the enlightened and bright faces of the people, she locked eyes with Tanjiro's awestrucked eyes.
"I told you." She mouthed to him, giving him a bright smile after.
Having seen that smile from her again, a flush of heat washed over his cheeks. He covered the lower half of his face with the palm of his hand. A bubbly feeling emitting from somewhere he have no idea about.
