Chapter 19: Ensnared By Hell's Claws

I pin the woman down and wrestle her on the ground. Her smile hasn't faded and its starting to irritate me.

"When I sleep with someone, I always go on top!" She says as she clutches my waist with her legs and twirls herself on top.

She puts her hands on my neck and tries to choke me. My eyes bulge out of their sockets and I thrash wildly.

"Get..off..me!" I shriek and punch the woman with my knee. She winces with pain and, in her brief moment of distraction, I throw her off me.

It's been like 10 minutes already, what is taking you so long?

I scowl and block another attack from the woman. "If you want this to end quicker, let me focus!" I yell and the woman stares at me with a hint of confusion.

"I wasn't talking to you!" I say as I jam my foot against her head. Blood drips from her ear and she growls at me.

She pulls a gun from her stiletto and aims it at me.

Okay, I've had enough of this! If she can use guns and knifes, you can use your goddamn magic!

I stand frozen on the spot as the woman smiles in that seductive way again. "But!" I protest and glare at the woman.

Does it look like she's playing fair?! Rub that stupid smug off her face and show her your true power!

I clench my teeth and swallow my pride for the second time this week. "Damn you!" I say and the woman chuckles lightly as she fires bullets at me. I jump in the air and dodge all the bullets.

"I'm flattered." The woman says sweetly and I pounce on her. My claws extend from my fingers and I snatch the gun from her hand, snapping it in half from anger.

I clutch her chin and my claws dig into her skin. She winces from the pain and its my turn to laugh mockingly.

"I chose the perfect place to kill you." I say gruesomely and let my claws dig deeper into her skin. She screams with agony and her knees fall to the ground.

"I've been going easy on you, but that ends here." I whisper and she kicks my belly, causing me to lose my balance and fall on the ground.

On the ground I transform my body into a notorious monster that will scare that woman out her skin.

A harpy.

"What the hell..?" She stumbles back with fear as green feathers sprout out of my skin.

Narrow green wings slowly extend from my back with crooked movements. I fly off the ground and some feathers shed from the wings and flow around me gracefully.

I shriek menacing and rapidly dive toward the woman like a missile. The woman starts to run away, but I gleefully try to catch up with her.

I snatch her off the ground with my talons and swing her around in the air as I high as I could possible go. She lets out horrid, blood curdling screams and I laugh at her expression.

Unfortunately, my joy is interrupted when I feel a stinging pain in my right wing. I whirl my head around and notice a hole where the pain is.

We've got company.

I scan the ground and find a man wearing a stylish, but casual, black suit. Quite attractive too.

"Ah!" After hearing the woman's cries for help, I snap out of my thoughts and fly straight toward the man for an attack.

My talons expand and I prepare to pounce on the man, until I see him use a long-range gun and notice him fire more bullets at me.

Of course, I dodge them with ease, but I sense something strange coming from the man. I fly toward him again and notice he's holding a stone.

Not an ordinary one, the type that carries ancient magic. The type of magic I haven't learned how to control, yet.

I throw the woman on the ground and aim for the man instead. He raises the stone in the air and my body becomes numb. My body slams to the ground and I can feel my blood bubble inside my veins.

It feels as if my feathers weigh more than a ton and I start to cough up pools of blood. I feel as if something is crushing my organs from the inside and another force burning my blood and veins to their crisp.

The complete agony coursing through my body causes me to let out loud shrieks of pain.

My vision blurs and I catch a glimpse of the man. He's squatting on the ground and staring at my agony-stained face.

He has brown hair and bangs that reach his chin, which partly cover his face. His skin is as pale as snow and his eyes have a beautiful shade of red. He's the striking picture of beauty.

I can feel the magic from the ancient stone cut the passage of air from my throat. I clutch my throat and thrash widely.

I turn my gaze and notice the woman has a shameful expression on her face.

And I thought I had too much pride.

The man's emotionless face keeps staring into mine and he eventually puts his arms around me. He carries me to a black van and locks me inside a high-tech cage. The woman follows and sits in the passenger's seat as the man drives me to who knows where.

I'm surprised I'm still awake, but after jinxing my luck, I start to see black splotches. Before you know it, I black out and lose consciousness.

~

"You obviously need more trajectory in your wings as you fly!" Keep them expanded at the same length if you want to balance yourself in the air, your highness!"

I stagger in the air as I helplessly try to maneuver myself through the obstacles.

"I'm trying! It's just that the wings are too heavy!" I scream desperately and slam myself into a pole.

"Owww..." I groan as I feel my body slide off the pole. I start to panic as I realize I'm going to fall. My concentration shatters and I turn back to my human form.

"Aaahh!" I scream as I feel my body fall in midair, knowing that without my wings I'm completely vulnerable. I close my eyes and clench my teeth from fear.

I suddenly feel warm arms embrace me and fear leaves my body. "You shouldn't have panicked, young mistress." Siva says as he smiles sweetly at me.

I clutch his body like a helpless child, which I am, and wait for Siva to place me on the ground.

After Siva made sure I was safely on the ground, he went to dismiss my flying instructor and I shamefully turned away to walk back to the castle.

I can feel tears begin to fall on my cheeks and I forcefully try to hold them back. I stomp back inside the castle's walls and I suddenly bump into someone.

"Ah!" I fall hard on the ground and in a flash I feel strong arms hold me. "Please do forgive me, young mistress." I hear a familiar voice and notice my doctor is holding me.

"No, I'm sorry. I was dazing off into space." I say a little flustered and usher him to set me down because I can feel a blush forming on my cheeks.

My witch doctor bows respectfully and leaves without a single hint of a smile. I sigh and continue to walk down the halls of the castle.

Well, technically, my castle.

I turn a corner and find what I was looking for. I open the double doors that lead outside and find my favorite spot to relax in.

The garden.

I rest my heavy body on the soft grass and embrace my knees with my hands. I can still remember how pathetically I failed today during one of my training sessions.

One of the more bigger, sturdier plants stretches its leaves and stems toward me.

I smile to myself and let the plant entangle itself on my leg, healing a bleeding cut.

"Your about the only thing I can control..." I say pitifully and I can feel a stream of tears flow off my cheeks.

I cover my face out of shame and cry my pretty little eyes out. "How could something like this happen to me?! How could Siva think I was fit to rule, not just one, but two freaking kingdoms?!"

I continue my blubbering for another good 30 minutes and slowly let go of the plant. I rise off the ground and wipe away my tears as I open the door to leave the garden.

I walk around the halls some more and eventually find the kitchen. None of my staff members are around, so I tip toe to the fridge and find my favorite dessert inside.

Cheesecake!

I happily gobble it down and I almost forget about my little tantrum from a while ago.

"I see you're enjoying my cooking as always, young mistress."

In my moment of shock, I twirl around and try to kick the person behind me. A strong hand grabs my ankle and avoids my attack.

I groan when I notice its only my butler. "What do you want?" I ask harshly and my butler sets my foot down, so I can continue to eat the last slice of my cheesecake.

"I apologize if I caused your bad mood, young mistress." He says with his perfect white toothy smile.

"You'll put me in an even worse mood if you continue to bother me!"

I retort back and try to walk away, but out of guilt, I turn around and walk back inside the kitchen.

Pitiful.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that, I was just mad at something that's been bugging me ever since I came here." I say and Siva nods his head understandingly.

"Would you like to talk about it, young mistress?"

He says and I can tell he's trying to carefully choose his words.

"If that will help your case, that is." He replies and I stir up the courage to speak.

"Why? Why did you have to bring me back here as your queen, why me?" I whisper and Siva chuckles lightly at my uncertainty.

"I'm not the one who decided to bring you back as our queen", He pauses before he tries to continue.

But I cut him off.

"Then who the hell made me come here in the first place?" I interrupt him and he stares at me uncertainly before responding.

"It's difficult to explain, but the best way I can comprehend is that the crown decides who our next heir will be." He finishes, but it only confuses me more.

"Wait, you mean to tell me that an inanimate object decides the future of the kingdoms? Shouldn't there be a bloodline or something?"

I ask and Siva sighs at my question. I assume this is more complicated than what it seems.

"No, we don't believe in bloodlines." He responds, but I try to pry more from him.

"So..?" I ask and he begins to stutter, but recovers his composure.

"There's a saying we always abide to; For if we have the strongest and wisest King, and may he have an heir, we cannot guarantee he or she will return us the same great rule."

He explains and I nod my head understandingly. "And the crown?"

I question him and Siva frowns for a moment.

"I'm not sure why, but the crown seems to have a mind of its own", he pauses and I tilt my head out of confusion.

Siva notices this and continues to try his best to explain everything to me.

"Yes, it seems a little far-fetched, but it's the only explanation that we have. When an heir dies, the crown comes to life, leaves, and brings back a new one",

He pauses to see if I'm catching on before continuing. "We believe the crown is some sort of vessel for the magic that gives definite rule over the kingdoms, until it finds an heir for it to join with."

He finishes and I nod understandingly again. "That's all very fascinating, but that still doesn't answer my question."

I ask solemnly and Siva sighs at my lack of confidence. "The crown always chooses someone for a reason."

He says and takes another brief pause. "You might not believe you're worthy or strong enough to rule our kingdoms, but the crown believes otherwise."

He begins and I listen intently.

"We believe otherwise, so please bare with us for a while more and you'll see you do play an important role in this horrid game of survival."

He says and I nod my head. He smiles and bows before leaving, but I stop him and ask for one more question.

"But, what if I fall before the kingdoms do?" I ask and Siva gives me a dark expression.

"The queen must never fall or the game shall be over and we will be the ones to pay for your mistakes." He finishes and he takes his leave.

I lean against a counter and brood on what my loyal butler told me.

"Then fall I shall not do, so I guess I'm stuck with them for longer than what I thought." I say with my darken expression, but it fades away when I get another thought.

"That means there stuck with me too!" I say cheerfully and finish the last crumbs of the delicious cheesecake.

~

The pain.

It's still there.

Coursing through my body and destroying me with slow painful strokes of agony.

My heavy eyelids pop open and I notice the cage I'm in.

My breathing becomes heavier and my fear intensifies. It's not fear for my life, it's fear of the cage.

I've been locked in so many cages throughout my life that now I can't stand to even look at one inside a picture, for if I do it'll bring back horrid and hateful memories.

I'm clutching my knees against my body and my eyes stay widen as every second ticks by. The room looks like any other office a successful business person would work in.

A giant desk lays in the back and in front of the windows, which replaces the wall, giving an amazing view of the city outside.

Other furniture, such as a coffee table, cushioned chairs and comfy couches lay in the middle of the room. A soft carpet decorates the floor and a huge bookshelf lays left to the furniture.

The cage and I lay right to the furniture, giving me a perfect view of the place.

Which doesn't help my fear-sickened state.

Calm down, the last thing you need to show your enemies is your fear.

I try to slow my breathing as I inhale and exhale calmly, but when I catch a glimpse of the steel bars, horrible memories and blood curdling screams fill the empty spaces of my mind again.

My slow breathing catches speed and I start panting rapidly again.

Calm down! Your not allowed to get scared! Especially when I'm around because you make me look like a whimp too!

I chuckle after hearing my jerky magic and I start to calm down again, but my fear recovers when someone steps into the room.

It might have been a short glimpse, but I know the man walking toward me is the same person who kidnapped me in the first place.

"I'm sorry, baby. She was stronger than before.." The same blonde woman steps in after the handsome man.

"I don't have time to listen to your excuses, just sit down and don't interrupt my work." The man says harshly and the woman nods sadly.

"But..we're still going on our date today are we?" The woman asks and the man glares at her.

"I was hoping..we could stay up all night." She says shyly as she blushes and I understand what she means by "all night".

The man shakes his head and walks over to me. He squats down and meets eye level with me.

I'm still grasping my knees and shaking from fear and agony. "Is the stone's spell still hurting you from the inside?"

He asks politely with a voice as smooth as honey. I feel a jab of pain in my stomach and I feel as if someone is twisting my intestines with rugged force.

I fall on my side as I let out a horrid scream. The man reaches his hand and touches my forehead.

The pain disappears in a second.

I jolt upwards and stand on my feet. The man follows my lead and stands up too. I want to smash my fist at his perfect features, but I'm too scared to touch the bars.

"Are you alright? Do you still feel the pain?" He ask as he gently places his hand on my shoulder through the bars.

I shove his hand off and glare at him. "Why the hell did you kidnap me and bring me here!" I shout and my voice echoes though the room.

"I think it's quite obvious, we captured you because you're the queen and we brought you here as bait for your loyal subjects."

He says without a hint of a smile or emotion and it causes me to shudder. "I figured as much, but does that mean your Connor J. Smith, since it seems you've planned all this."

I ask and he smiles and chuckles lightly. "I'm afraid not, I am his loyal secretary Nicholas Shane." He says and he beckons the blonde woman over.

"I'm sure you two have already been acquainted." He says and the woman seers at my vulnerable state.

"Actually, I haven't taken the liberty to introduce myself, yet." She says as she cuddles with the man. Nicholas seems irritated by her actions, but he holds his tongue.

"I'm Smith's head bodyguard, Erika Brooke and Nicholas' lover." She says as she tries to kiss Nicholas' cheek, but he stops her antics to continue the conversation.

I back away from them and my wolfen instincts start to kick in. I start sniffing the air and move my head around to try to match a face with the smell.

"You have my loyal staff members imprisoned here too, don't you?" I glare at them and they both smirk at my finding.

"Yes, I did originally plan to kill them first, but when I learned you were secretly the queen I assumed they meant something to you, and you would come and save them, so I kept them alive as bait."

Nicholas explains and I laugh at his assumption. "They mean nothing to me, their just my servants." I say and they both nod their heads.

"Yes, I assumed that too, that's why I tried a different approach." He says as he walks over to the desk and types something on his computer.

A projector shows pictures of my college before and after it became nothing but ruins. "So, you're the guy who bombed my college to lure me into your trap, and well would you look at that, you were successful too."

I scoff at his confused expression. "You might have been able to capture me, but you failed to capture my associates." I begin and they both stare at me seriously.

"No one will be coming to save me because my associates will make sure they don't. I was already aware of this being a trap and I was aware of your intentions of using my citizens as your soldiers, that's why I planned ahead."

I say and Nicholas glares horribly at Erika. "How did the queen find out about our plan?" He asks her coldly and Erika shrinks back with fear.

"I had arrived too late to stop her findings when she attacked our men at her apartment." She whispers and Nicholas scowls with anger.

"Okay, I'd hate to interrupt this heartfelt, romantic moment, but can I ask who the hell discovered I was the queen? I'd really love to chew on their bones and flesh!"

I say in the midst of they're argument and Nicholas walks over to me again. "I intentionally tried to capture the Protector and torture the location of the queen out of her, but..", he pauses and smirks at me.

"Our top spies discovered something better, we found out you were not only the Protector, but also the queen. Quite clever on your part to have two identities, if I might add."

He says and I groan impatiently. "That's all very interesting, but that doesn't answer my question!" I yell and he frowns at my rudeness.

"For a queen of two kingdoms I thought you'd have better manners than this, but you're right, I am blabbing on", He says as he brings me a folder.

I open it and find pictures of terrifying demons inside. One of them looks familiar. "You might remember this one, he was brought by our top ghost to your apartment and he was the only one who made it out alive, his name was Kurtis and he was disguised as your bodyguard, Hector Smith."

He says and he confirms my beliefs of having spies hidden in my life. It also confirmed the suspicion I had of him tossing me into that portal to Wonderland.

"I figured he was a demon, but why did you have him toss me into a portal to Wonderland?" I ask and he ponders the thought for a moment.

"Ah yes, the mages thought it was easier to kidnap your staff without you in the way, plus we also had to take back our spies." He says and I continue to ask more questions.

"How about the ghost girl?" I ask about Bree and he smiles for a second. "She did betray us once, I know your aware of that, but she made up for it by finding your scent through a gash and confirming your identity of being the queen. She also had help from her partner."

He finishes and I feel anger swell up inside of me, but I don't allow for Nicholas to notice this. I pick up the last picture in the folder and show it to him.

"I assume this is her partner, Kalis Manson?" I ask and he nods his head. I place the picture back inside the folder and hand it to Nicholas.

"All this information is quite helpful, but why would you give it to me. Won't this be a disadvantage for you when I escape?" I ask and both Nicholas and Erika sneer at me.

"We don't believe you'd try to escape if you knew your loved ones would pay for your actions." He says smiling devilishly at me.

He nods to Erika and she leaves the room. When she comes back I notice that she hauling another cage inside.

I gasp when I see who's inside.

"Asjha?!"

I scream and watch my friend grumble on the floor of the cage. She has dark purple bruises all over her body and blood drips from her horrorstruck face.

"3 secret identities you hold, and we were able to discover them all. I assume it's terribly embarrassing to have fallen so quickly to our power." He says and I fall to my knees and lower my head.

I can feel him squat down again in front of me and whisper menacing and diabolically.

"I'm going to enjoy destroying you from the inside, I'm going to take away everything you love and cherish, and I'll kill you after I've gotten what I want from you. Your sanity is probably at the edge of corruption after I sent a demon to poison you, just accept this and die a miserable death already."

He says as he laughs villainously. I smile and allow my insanity to escape from my chains. It slowly moves and devours my entire mind and consumes me with murder as my only satisfactory.

"Yeah, about that."

Nicholas jumps back with terror in his eyes and I mock his expression.

"You were so desperate to win that you tried to kill my sanity, but in the end I conquered that challenge and outwitted you. NOW, HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?!"

I wallow in pleasure as I see both Erika's and Nicholas' horrorstruck eyes, but I also see the same expression on Asjha's, so I stop my bloodthirsty words.

I'm about to negotiate with civil manners, but I feel pain surge through my veins again.

My blood and veins sizzle inside my body and my organs are crushing with slow painful strokes.

Some invisible force begins to choke me and I thrash widely. The pain this time goes deeper inside my body and begins to crush my brain.

Pain pumps inside this organ and I can hear and feel banging inside my head. I clutch my head, but the pain and choking in my throat make it impossible to hold on to more than one spot.

"Learning how to control your insanity was a minor setback I can move around, so let's get on with the more pressing matters, shall we?"

Nicholas says as he holds the ancient stone in his hand and every time he loses his patience, the pain intensifies.

I nod my head and he let's go of the stone, causing the agonizing pain to go away momentarily. "You're going to open a portal to your home realm or we're going to kill the girl."

He says harshly and smiles when Ashja overhears. She screams with fear for her life. I clench my teeth to prevent any more panting and I worry for my friend's safety.

"No."

I say as I clumsily try to force myself up. I stand on my feet and glare at the man and his lover.

"You can't take away everything I love because I have nothing to lose. I might have friends and people who look out for me as if I was their real family, but that doesn't change anything."

I clutch my stomach and try to continue talking.

"Everyone I know is merely a pawn in my game, if I lose someone it will be for my benefit. If Ashja must die in order for me to win, then so be it."

I say and notice Ashja scream and beg for mercy. Naturally, Nicholas and I ignore her and we get on with our conversation.

"I underestimated you, I thought you would be too young to actually make decisions on your own without having to act like a naive child", He flatters me and sends another wave of pain coursing through my body.

I thrash from agony and I begin to vomit pools of blood. My eyes bulge out of their sockets when I forcefully let out the red liquid from my mouth and throat.

"But that doesn't solve anything, so you will open that portal or I'll kill you right here and now." Nicholas says as he causes the stone to make my pain worsen.

I scream hysterically and raise my head to smirk arrogantly.

"You know, with a face like that, it's hard to take you seriously!"

I retort mischievously and I anger Nicholas more.

"Don't you get it?! I'm going to kill you and everybody else who was your ally! How can you still make jokes at a time like this?!" He says as he tightens his grip on the stone, which strengthens the pain.

"Open the goddamn portal!" He yells at me as I thrash on the floor with more pain crushing every inch of my body.

"N...NEVER!"

I remark and he squeezes the stone once more and pools of blood flood the inside of my mouth until I spit the liquid out, staining the floor with the color red.

Eventually, Nicholas let's go of the stone and let's my pain slip away. "Very well, if you won't open a portal to your realm then I will have to find another way." He says as he beckons Erika over again.

"Send for the demon guards, I don't want anymore setbacks coming from you or I will punish you afterwards." Nicholas addresses Erika with cold, harsh eyes and she slowly nods her head.

When Nicholas composes himself and once he's left the room, I have alone time with Erika.

"Not really the badass I thought you were. Just another temporary bedmate and toy for the rich secretary, huh?"

I mock her and she tries to hit me through the bars, but I back away far enough so she can't reach me.

"I love him! What would know anything about love?!" She says as she desperately tries to hit me, but I merely stand with my hands clasped behind my back.

"You're right, I don't know anything about love, but I can tell if someone is manipulating another person for their own advantage. It's war tactics, honey."

I say and cause Erika to cry. "No! He wouldn't! He's told me himself that he loves me!" She says as she hopelessly tries to choke me.

"Then why does he always seem irritated when you try to cuddle and/or kiss him. He also seems quite abusive too, you know!"

I ask and she stares at me with widen eyes that are sending a waterfall of tears.

I walk up to her and clutch her chin with my fingers.

"You're going to die a prostitute. All because you're a stupid woman who would do anything for a man who gives her sex as a reward. How romantic."

I say with eyes full of insanity and bloodlust. Erika continues to watch me with incredulous eyes until she regains her composure.

"LIAR!" She screams as she swings her hand and slaps me through the bars. Her hand left a red print and sent a stingy pain through my skin.

"You remind me of my mother. Always hitting me when I told her the truth about her incompetent faults and flaws."

I say and Erika storms out of the room still crying about my comment from earlier.

"Crying never solved anything, I guess she's going to learn that the hard way like everybody else."

I say to myself and notice Ashja crying and staring at me with fearful eyes too.

"That goes for you too."

I say cruelly and Ashja yells at me with fury. "How could you keep this from me?! How could you use me like one of your pawns?! Why?!" She says still crying and sniffling from sadness and shock.

"I'm sorry Ashja, but your beneath this. Your nothing more than a friend I made in college. My secret was none of your business and I had no obligation toward you to tell you about it."

I say harshly and Ashja continues to cry and blubber with misery. "B..but how could you let me die so easily?!" She screams and shakes the bars with miserable force.

I continue my emotionless face and my sangfroid composure as I talk to her.

"Ashja you don't understand how much more important I am over you. I'm the Protector and queen over two kingdoms. I couldn't have saved one life and destroyed thousands just because we're friends",

I pause and carefully watch Ashja's expression before continuing.

"Don't take it as a grudge against you or just a selfish act on my part. I would have given up anyone's life for the sake of my kingdoms. You have to understand that if The Kingdoms fell before I did, they would have been the ones to pay for my mistakes."

I finish and wait for her response. "I guess I understand, but-", Asjha's interrupted when two demons walk into the room.

She shrinks back with fear after noticing they're the horrifying beast every human has been afraid of for centuries.

Not including myself, of course!

One of the demons reminds me of a snake. He has purple, slimy scales all over his body and a long narrow tail, he also doesn't have a trace of hair on his body.

His eyes have the same traditional red glowing color and slit pupils.

The other demon, however, resembles a raven. His entire body has black feathers and his wings are kept neatly tucked behind his back.

Both the demons have the same eyes and clothing, which only consist of a three-piece suit.

Each of them walk over to me and either one stands next to me on a different side.

They both stay quiet as I grin mischievously at Ashja. She understands what I mean and quickly tries to stop me, but I merely giggle and go ahead.

I can recognize the demons from the pictures Nicholas showed me.

"You backstabbing, good-for-nothing, simpletons!"

I yell and shock everyone in the room. Both the demon's jump back and stare at me with widen eyes.

"Oh you heard me you filthy, lying, manipulating demons! Yes, I'm talking to you, Hector and Kalis!"

I yell again and the demons nod understanding the situation.

"I'm sorry, I didn't recognize you with all that blood smeared over your body and the different voice." The raven demons says first.

"Yeah, you better be sorry, Kalis!"

I tell the raven demon and Hector speaks up. "Whatever objections you have against our actions, you should get over as soon as possible. We were merely doing our jobs."

Hector remarks and I growl at him.

"I helped you when you needed me and I gave you my blood to drink!"

I retort and I also shock Kalis.

"Yes, and it was the most delicious liquid I've ever tasted. You ought to thank me that I didn't try to devour you at the moment." He says as he smiles demonically at me.

"Oh shut it, it's not liked I missed you or anything. You were just another stick up my ass."

I remark and Hector sneers at my insult. "Oh really? Then why do you keep referring to me as 'Hector'?" He retorts and I scowl at him.

"I'll call you whatever the hell I want, 'Kurtis'!"

I yell at him and shock him too. He stares at me for a moment and sighs. "Your so...interesting." Kurtis says as he grabs my chin and licks blood off my bottom lip.

He's suddenly thrown against the wall and to my shock I see Kalis was responsible. "Back off, she's mine!" He says and I scoff at him.

"Hurray for me, a bunch of demons are fighting over me."

Kalis and Kurtis stare at me with confused expressions.

"What!? Even if you do want me it's probably only because of my blood and power, trust me I've been through this before."

I say and Kalis slowly cups my face with his hands. "That might be true, but can't you live with that? I know you love me, so can't you get pass that?"

He says seductively and he begins to caress my cheeks like when he used to.

"What do you take me for?! A desperate whore?! Get your hands off me!"

I say and Kalis growls impatiently. "Do you have any idea how long I've gone without feasting because your blood is the only thing that can satisfy my hunger?!"

He says and I see his fangs try to pounce on my skin, but I jump back quick enough to avoid his attack.

"Haha, looks like she doesn't want you anymore, should've took the chance when you had her." Kurtis says as he pulls Kalis away.

"My life is so pitiful, I mean look at me! I'm stuck in the middle of the world's worst love triangle."

I say to myself and cause Ashja to giggle under her breath. "You will be mine, your highness. You have no say so in this." Kurtis says and I sneer at his command.

"We'll see."

I say as I set a fire outside with my magic and cause an alarm to go off. Kalis and Kurtis compose themselves and race to the scene outside.

In my moment of insanity, I have no longer fear for the cage and I use my sharp claws to destroy the bars.

I jog up to Ashja and ready her for the time of her life.

"Were going to escape this hellhole, right?" She asks and I smirk at her as I tear the bars off with my claws.

"We're always going to get trapped in a hellhole when you hang out with me."

I say and help her out of the cage. "Things better get interesting then." She says and we get ready to pounce on the door.

"They always do."

I say and we both glance at each other before slamming the door open and throwing ourselves in hell.
