So many thoughts were rushing through my head and I had no idea what to do.

I'm all alone in the middle of the ocean with a sinking ship right next to me and I my husband just died.

Maybe this is all just a dream. No, it can't be a dream it all seems too real. I dive under the water and take in a deep breath and soon, my lungs filled with water.

I sit straight up in bed screaming and breathing heavily. Oh thank the lord it was just a dream. I turn to my left to check the time. It was 1:24 in the morning. I then turn over to my right side and just as I was about to close my eyes, I noticed that Nick was not laying in the bed next to me.

I sat up again and started to look around the room. I got out of bed and checked the kitchen, the balcony, and the bathroom but he wasn't there. I noticed that there was only one room key on the counter instead of two.

I quickly pull out my sweatpants and a tee shirt from my suitcase and slip on my white adidas sneakers. I snatch the room key but right before I am about to open the door, I decide to text him. Maybe I'm just overreacting and he just went out for a walk.

Me: Hey babe. Just wondering where you went

Nick: I just went out for a little bit of fresh air. I didn't want to wake you up. I'll be back in a little bit. Try to go back to sleep, we have a lot of plans for tomorrow. Good night💙

Me: Love you :)

I climb back into bed and close my eyes. He's just taking a walk. He's just taking a walk.

I slowly open my eyes as they adjust to the bright sunlight beaming through the windows. I look over to my right and sure enough, Nick was there, sound asleep.

I roll out of bed and head to the bathroom to start putting my makeup on.

Soon after, I hear Nick rustling in the blankets and I peep my head out the doorway.

"Good morning, beautiful", he groans as he stretches his arms up.

"Good morning", I respond as I get into the bed next to him.

"How was your sleep?"

"Alright. I had a nightmare that the ship was sinking and then you scared me half to death when you weren't here when I woke up."

"I'm so sorry. You just looked so peaceful when you were asleep and I didn't want to disturb you. I just started to feel a little nauseous from the rocking of the boat so I took one of those pills and got some fresh air. No biggie."

It was awkwardly silent for a few seconds until I piped in, "So, are you excited for the zip lining through the rain forest today?"

"Of course! And then the skydiving! I can't wait! And the perfect way to spend it is with the woman who I love with all of my heart", he responds as he grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him. I wrap my arms around his neck and give him a passionate kiss.

He pulls away and says, "We should start getting ready. The ship is pulling into the dock soon. I'm just going to take a quick shower and then we are off!"

"Sounds perfect", I say after I give him a quick peck on the cheek.

As I am looking through my suitcase to find the perfect outfit to wear, I see something peeking out of Nick's coat pocket. I wonder what this is. I pull it out and it is a napkin. On the napkin was the name "Carly" written in script with a phone number underneath.

My face started to heat up. We just got married four days ago and he's already flirting with other girls?!

I stuff the napkin into my suitcase, infuriated.

I am debating whether or not to have a great day zip lining and skydiving with my husband and not mention anything about Carly or breaking the ice with him and telling him that I know he didn't go to take a walk this morning at 1:24.
