It's the second day of our honeymoon cruise and I couldn't be any happier. I woke up to the sound of my husband, Nick, softly moaning in his sleep. I lightly shook his shoulder and said, "Wake up, sleepy head."

His eyes opened quickly and his beautiful blue eyes were staring at me.

"Good morning beautiful. How'd you sleep?" he asked and moved his hands through his dirty blond hair.

"I slept wonderfully, knowing you were right next to me..." I leaned toward him and I placed a kiss on his perfect lips.

He pulled away and said, "So, honeymoon day two. What are we going to do today?"

"I could stay here all day," I said and leaned in for another kiss.

Before our lips met, sirens started to blare throughout the ship. We both sat up in the bed and I ran to the window. I quickly pulled the curtains apart and looked outside. The ship was sinking.

"Nick!" I yelled and he ran towards the window I was looking out of and wrapped his arm around my waist. "What do we do?" I asked frantically.

"I don't know! Maybe they'll make an announcement?" He said and ran his fingers through his hair.

Then a beeping sound came over the loudspeaker. "Attention all passengers, this is your captain speaking. As you probably know, the ship is sinking, so please make your way to the safety boats as quickly as possible. I repeat, as quickly as possible!" I heard the uneasiness in the captains voice which made me feel more terrified.

"We gotta get out of here!" Nick yelled and grabbed my hand. We ran out of our bedroom and started for the safety boats.

When we were about to turn a corner in the hallway, I heard a rush of water and stopped and said, "Do you hear that?"

"There's no time, we have to go!" he said and continued to run.

Next thing I knew, there was a huge wave of water starting to come down the hallway.

"Nick!" I yelled and he immediately turned around and we started to run as fast as we could away from the water.

It was as if the water was chasing us and we would be doomed if it caught up to us.

We kept running until we made it to the elevator. There was one that was packed with shouting people and the doors were starting to close. "Wait!" I yelled but the doors kept on closing. I quickly looked back and Nick was still close behind me. Just in time, we reached the elevator and it closed just as we entered.

Once we got off the elevator, the ship jerked and it was starting to tip. I tried to remain balanced, but with everyone running around, it was almost completely useless.

Nick and I ran to the safety boats and it was complete chaos. Everyone was pushing each other trying to get to safety.

We tried to make our way to the boats, but it was no use. Then all of a sudden, with all the commotion, someone pushed Nick and he fell off the side of the ship.

"Nick!" I screamed as I saw him fall.

"Samantha!" He screamed back, but then there was a splash and he never came back to the surface.

I quickly looked back and forth from where Nick fell and the life boats. Nobody seemed to notice that he fell, except for me. "I can't live without you," I whispered and dove off the side of the ship.

I saw complete darkness, but then I surfaced and I looked all around me. "Nick had a harder fall then me because he fell into the water on his back, so it probably knocked the wind out of him", I thought as I scanned the water. I then dove underwater and tried to look for him.

Pieces of the ship were starting to fall off and burn in the water. I came back up for a breath of air then went back under. I then saw him, but he was stuck under a piece of the ship. I quickly swam down to him and tried to lift it up. It was too heavy. Another part of the ship came plummeting down and I quickly swam out of the way so it wouldn't hit me. Instead, it slammed into Nick's arm and took it off. I gasped for breath underwater, but quickly swam upward.

Once I was above water, I screamed. I screamed so loud that it hurt both my ears and my throat. Tears started to stream down my face and I looked back at the burning, sinking ship.

All of the safety boats were gone and here I was, in the ocean by myself.
