III~Piper~III

Things were not going the way Piper had expected.

She was supposed to have a nice day out with her best friend and then go sleep for hours. Not get attacked by some psychos and wake up in the back of... Whatever she was stuck in.

"Ow..."

Piper went rigid at the voice which penetrated the darkness.

"Where am I?"

Piper relaxed slightly at the familiar voice. "Annabeth?"

"Piper?"

"Yeah... Where are we?" Piper whispered.

Annabeth didn't reply immediately. "I can hear cars. I think we are in a truck."

"But why? Why would some sico  kidnap us?" She whispered harshly.

Piper heard Annabeth sigh. "I have no clue."

Piper paused. "Well... I'm going to get some answers."

"What are you going to-"

Piper cut Annabeth off by standing and slamming her fists against the wall of he truck. It hurt her hands but she didn't care. She was going to get out of here.

"Piper!" Annabeth said surprised. "You're not gonna break it."

"Not trying to," Piper responded before biting her lip in pain. She slammed her fist against it again. "I just want to get the sicos attention."

Piper banged again and was surprised when banging came from the other side.

"Looks like you did it," Annabeth muttered.

Piper banged again and she heard muffled voices from the other side. She raised her hand again when the truck shifted to the left causing Piper lose her balance and fall on top of Annabeth. Piper groaned as Annabeth's knee connected with her stomach. Piper managed to push herself off of Annabeth and sat next to her in the darkness.

"We're turning," Annabeth said quietly.

"I'm gonna bang on the wall again," Piper decided.

"And what good is that going to do other annoy them?"

"I don't know. Do you have. A better idea?"

"Not bang on it and search to see if there is a latch which opens the door."

Piper paused. "Okay, good plan." Though she couldn't see her, she was sure that Annabeth was rolling her eyes.

"I'll go toward the right you take he left."

"Got it," Piper said putting her palms facedown on the floor and feeling around blindly on all fours. After a few minutes of nothing she began trying to feel up and down the walls. Piper lost her footing as the truck jolted and the ride began to feel much more bumpy.

"I think we've gone off road," Annabeth whispered in the darkness.

"Is that good or bad?"

Annabeth didn't reply. Piper sat back down as the truck came to a stop. The sound of opening and closing doors were heard followed in voices. Piper sucked in and held her breath as her heart rate rose more and more with every footstep. She blindly felt for Annabeth in the darkness. She finally found the other's girls hand. Annabeth gave her had a tight squeeze both worried for what happened next.

The door opened to Piper's left and she gripped Annabeth's hand even tighter as a flashlight was shunned down on her. While holding her hand up to block the light Piper was able to make our four figures standing in the truck doorway.

"You mind shutting up?" Piper blinked again and was able to make out details of the figures. The one had spoken appeared to be Latino. He was short with curly hair and held the flashlight down on her looking annoyed.

"You should follow your own advice," said a male voice pushing the first boy out of the way. He grabbed a lantern and turned it on. When he did Piper could see all their faces easily.

The one with the lantern was pale with dark eyes and hair. The third was taller than the last with blue- no greenish- no sea colored eyes and dark hair. That last boy was a bit taller than the one before him. His hair was blonde and bright blue eyes shinned out from behind his glasses, oddly he had a small scar on his upper lip.

But what confused Piper more than the blonde's scar was their age. They all looked about her age give or take a few years. She hadn't been able to see them properly before when they had grabbed her. Piper wasn't exactly sure what she had been expecting but it certainly wasn't a bunch of college boys.

"What do you want with us?" Annabeth asked to Piper.

"Doesn't matter," the one sea colored eyes told her.

"Let's make this simple," the blonde one suggested. "There are four of us. We are in the middle of nowhere. Just do as we say and this can be as painless as possible."

Piper glared at him. "Not until I get a specific answer as to why the fuck you grabbed me."

The blonde looked to the one with the sea colored eyes. The two seemed to have a silent conversation before both spoke at once.

"Doesn't matter," the blonde answered while the sea green eyed one said,

"I was told to."

The two glared at each other for a moment. The blonde grimaced before he spoke again. "We simply follow orders. We honestly don't know why they wanted you."

"Who is they?"

"People we work for."

"Why would you ever work for someone so horrible?"

He didn't reply and rather turned his attention to the other boys. "We should just camp out here. It will light out soon and we shouldn't travel during the day." The other boys nodded and he started giving tasks to each and they walked off before walking off himself.

Soon Piper was left with only Annabeth as they sat in the doorway of the truck and the shorter Latino boy who pocketed his flashlight. "Are you gonna sleep in the truck or out here?"

Piper opened her mouth to respond but Annabeth gripped her hand tighter. Piper closed her mouth and the Latino boy shrugged and turned away from the two. He walked a few yards away and sat on the ground watching them.

"You want to sleep in the truck?" Piper asked Annabeth. "We can run from out there."

"We are in the middle of the woods," Annabeth whispered. "We are outnumbered. We need a plan."

"You got any ideas?"

"I'm working on it..."

Piper sighed and watched as the boys began to build a small campsite. The blonde had set up one tent while the shorter dark haired one set up another. The sea eyed one returned and dropped a large a pile of sticks on the ground.

"What are you doing?" The blonde one asked him.

"I'm drinking a margarita."

"No seriously what are you doing?"

"What does it look like? I'm building a fire."

"You can't."

"And why not?" He asked with a sigh.

"Because of you build a fire people will come looking confused."

"So what? We knock em out and they won't remember by the time we clear out." He turned to the Latino. "Where's the lighter? Or your flamethrower? Either will work."

"I left them-"

"No," the blonde interrupted grabbing some sticks and throwing them out of range. "No fire."

"What should we do for warmth then?"

"Sit in the truck. Leave it running?"

"Oh great idea!" The sea eyed one cheered. "Let's ruin the battery!"

"I need popcorn," the Latino smiled.

"You guys are like an old married couple," the short dark haired one told them.

"It's not my fault that he wants us to get hypothermia."

"It is 50 degrees!"

"With your yelling we'll be caught before I can even make a fire."

"I've got a plan," Annabeth whispered in Piper's ear causing Piper to flinch.

"Shh," Piper told her. "I'm watching a Soap Opera."

Piper felt herself yanked back. "We can use this to our advantage," Annabeth told Piper. "We get them fighting even more and then we slip away. Preferably after we find the keys if we can't find them then we at least grab a weapon or phone before heading into the trees."

Piper nodded. "How do we make them fight even more...?"

"Be observant then use it against them."

"Ugh that's it!" The sea green eyes one said. "I'm not sharing a tent with you. Nico?"

The short dark haired one- Nico Piper guessed- shook his head. "I was gonna sleep somewhere over there to avoid all of you."

"Wow. Tell me how you really feel."

"How I really feel? I feel sad for you. You're so oblivious to the world that some of my best dreams have included me slapping you."

"What makes me so oblivious? Oblivious to what? Actually you're probably not gonna tell me so Leo? Wanna-"

"What are you doing?" The blonde one yelled again clearly annoyed.

He groaned. "What did I do now?"

"We agreed no names!"

"Names would be helpful," Piper chimed in. "Then I can stop referring to you as the blonde, the Latino, and sea eyed and short dark haired one in my head. I'm Piper for example but since you guys are creepy you probably already knew that."

"I'm not that short," Nico mumbled.

"You are," the Latino told him. "I'm Leo, the short one is Nico."

"At least I'm not an elf."

"Hey, ladies love elves."

"Maybe in the North Pole they do."

"I'm Percy," the sea eyed one said introducing himself. "The stuck up one is Jason. Now tell me girls, are you cold?"

"Very," Annabeth nodded beside Piper. "I get cold really easily," she lied rubbing her hand up and down her arms.

"Wouldn't a nice warm fire fix that?"

"Fine do as you want," Jason said throwing his hands up in frustration. Piper watched him take off his glasses and rub his eyes before he spoke again. "Excuse me for wanting to get this over with quickly. But, if you want to screw up your final chance it's fine be me."

"Final chance?" Nico asked surprised. "Perce? What is he talking about?"

"Please don't tell me I signed myself up for an Elimination Mission. If the Zero dare comes for us-" Leo started.

"Shut up Leo." Percy's eyes narrowed and he took a couple steps toward Jason who looked surprised but unwilling to back down. "How'd you know this was my final chance?" He demanded.

Jason didn't answer the question but to Piper's confusion he smiled slightly. "I have people. But clearly judging by the way your acting you're gonna fail again. And then what?"

Piper watched as Percy's hands curled into fists. She had less than no clue about what was going on but whatever it was Percy was livid. "Fuck you Grace. That's all I need to say. But for good measure..." He trailed off and swung for Jason. When be missed he went for a another punch before tackling Jason to the ground causing Jason's glasses to go flying. The other two boys sprang up and went to pull them apart.

Piper was so engulfed by what was going on she didn't realize Annabeth had slipped out of the truck until she pulled on Piper's hand.

Piper shifted her gaze to Annabeth and climbed down following the other girl. "No keys," Annabeth told her.

Piper looked back to the feuding boys before focusing on her best friend . "Let's head for the trees."

Piper nodded and followed after Annabeth who led the way. Piper looked back to the boys one more. She wasn't exactly sure what had just happened but she was positive about something, she wasn't sure if it was because he had punched or if it was do with to something else.  Either way she confused but she knew that Jason strangely enough had been the one who started crying.
