XI Master...
I waited for five minutes, and when nothing moved, I lowered the bow. However, I continued to keep it ready. I slowly moved to the place where we were to meet. The brunet wasn't there yet, so I comfortably leaned against a tree and waited. I was starting to get anxious because he had been gone too long. Just as I was about to rush to his rescue, he emerged from the thick vegetation dripping in a thick, dark smear. Compared to me, his coat is sleeveless, so I had a perfect view of his muscular arms, covered in said slime. A slight gust of wind and the smell of blood reached me.
- Yours? - I whispered. I know we weren't supposed to communicate through words, but sometimes the situation calls for it.
- No. Some vampire was hanging around that part and attacked me. Unfortunately, he lost.
- A vampire? - I was surprised, because vampires tend to avoid contact with other supernaturals, but now they're in werewolf territory. - I'm starting to dislike it more and more. - I added.
- I don't like it either, but now that we're here, we have to go underground. - He said and moved forward. We reached the entrance. There was an opening in the ground with stairs down, and the grate was apparently broken. We descended slowly down the slippery steps and found ourselves in a room with four corridors. I took the two on the left and he took the two on the right. When we will find something we will immediately go after each other.

The first tunnel has no end. I'm going and going and going... And no, there is an end after all. A dead end. I sighed and turned around, starting the tedious way back. After a while, I reached the place where we separated and turned into the second corridor assigned to me. Soon I began to smell a strange metallic odor. What... Oh. Silver. I noticed some light on the walls, so this hallway probably won't have a wall at the end. I walked closer and saw a crouching figure with a hood over his head. He's fast. Daniel turned and pointed his finger to the center of the room. I looked out discreetly from around the corner and it turned out to be a huge square room. Three floors above us and two below. Around the balconies were cells built into the walls, and on the first floor, right in the middle, was a metal table, probably used for pulling out information and destroying people. Next to it was a similar table, but a little smaller with silver objects, and in the depths were hung chains also made of this material. That's why it smelled so much of metal.

We sat there for a good half hour to make sure we were alone. A few times we heard banging on the bars, but otherwise it was quiet. Too quiet. We couldn't wait here for all eternity, so we went in, settling our heads deeper into our hoods. He went up the rusty stairs while I started to go down. I wandered around the first floor until I reached the tools that this person was using. At first sight, my blood turned to ice. Specialized tools that serve one purpose. A painful, lonely and slow death. After several such "therapies" the person doesn't know his or her name and answering a question is a miracle. The brain simply shuts down from the massive dose of suffering. Not thinking much, I broke and bent every single thing that was there. I finished with a slightly accelerated breath and suddenly heard the rasp of metal. I looked up to the upper floor and noticed Daniel coming out of one of the cells. In his arms he held the slumped body of a girl. He nodded to me letting me know she was alive. I must admit, I was relieved. I joined him and we both headed for the exit. In the meantime, I checked her pulse and made a cursory inspection to see if she had any wounds on her body. I noticed a cut on her shirt, and when I lifted it up I saw a single, drawn-out scar along the side that had almost healed. This meant that despite the silver used, it was not deep. There was not a living soul in the other cells, so without wasting time we evacuated as quickly as possible.
I was the first to leave when I heard a swish near my ear. I ducked in time to see what was sent in my direction. It was... a stone? I looked up from where it had come from and saw two pale figures. Vampires.
- You have no right to be here. For trespassing, you are subject to our Master, and he will give you the death penalty. He doesn't like intruders on his land.
- His territory? I thought this was Moonlight Pack territory. Enlighten me if I'm wrong. - I saw that they lost their confidence for a split second, but immediately adopted a mask of indifference.
- Our Master said that he rules this land. You must vanish from here. As I told you before, the Almighty does not like strangers wandering through his domain. - I pulled my katana from the harness on my back and smiled ominously. I wouldn't let Daniel fight with a girl in his arms, so I took the initiative and told him to wait in the hole below.
- So, gentlemen? Are you going to run away like girls with your white handkerchief held up and pretend we've never met or are we going to dance? - I snickered and got what I wanted. Their eyes began to glow red. Now that I made them angry, they wouldn't pay much attention to self-defense. I hadn't even taken five steps, and already I was cornered. I quickly cut the air with my blades until I hit one centrally in the neck. Blood spurted from the wound, and he fell to the ground convulsing, clutching his throat. One more to go. His anger for his dead friend made him an easy target for me. After a moment I pinned him to the ground and demanded an answer to one question:
- What is his name? - I meant their " Master," which he immediately grasped.
- He... will kill you. - He growled, and a second later joined his friend. Damn! Once again we have nothing. There's still hope left that when the girl wakes up she'll know anything. I turned around and helped him with pulling her upstairs. He took her in his arms and we made our way back.
**********
Daniel put her down on the grass. A patrol should be here in a while. It's better this way. We don't want anyone to know we exist. And if they saw us, they would probably think that we did this to her. Only after we made sure they weren't far away did we escape to the hiding place under the waterfall. I now understand its location. When you are smeared with blood the water does a great job of washing it away.
